Sometimes, the best innovations come from giving the R\&D team free rein to experiment—and that's exactly how the GREMLIN, the newest troublemaker in our HP3 Line, came to life.
The team pushed the boundaries by cranking up the densities of both the block and slug. The result? A noticeable rise in both RG and DIFF values, while the asymmetric split stayed just tame enough to deliver a surprising combo: cleaner motion through the fronts with a more aggressive, angular finish than anything we've seen from this core design.
But they didn’t stop there. To match the mischievous behavior of the core, they engineered a brand-new pearlized coverstock: V-R1™ (Versatile-Response, Version 1). It’s cleaner, more adaptable, and ultra-responsive—designed to offer insane skid and wicked backend snap that’ll keep every bowler grinning from ear to ear.
Here's what Roto Grip has to say about the Gremlin:
Sometimes it's just better to let the R&D Team play around with various core and cover
combinations and let them see what kind of chaos and havoc they can create. Such was
the case with our latest addition to the HP3 Line known as the GREMLIN.
For starters, the R&D creatures found that when they "maxed out" the densities of both
the block and the slug, the RG Value and DIFF Value both increased, while the mild
asymmetric split lowered just a little, thus creating a cleaner and more angular motion
down lane than we had ever seen before from this shape.
And of course they couldn't stop there. They then decided that in order to create a truly
mischievous motion, they needed to develop a cleaner, more Versatile and more
Responsive pearlized coverstock material, better known as V-R1™ (Versatile-Response
- 1st version) to provide a new level of skid and snap that every bowling creature will
come to appreciate
