Our mission is to be the bowling web site that provides community, content, and commerce. We pursue our mission based on a set of core values: honesty, integrity, and customer service. These principles direct how we serve our customers, the ideals that drive what we do, and how we do it. We strive daily to meet these high standards and make our website the go-to destination for bowlers everywhere. 

Our Beginnings

Keith Spear started in 1981 by opening his first pro shop in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. In 1982, the main location moved to Deltona, Florida, followed by a third store in Deland, Florida, in 1984. From 1985 to 1992, Keith Spear, the owner, CEO, and founder of bowlingball.com drilled bowling balls and managed lane conditions for the professional tournaments with the Ladies Pro Bowlers Tour. Keith then opened his next pro shop in 1992 in Daytona Beach, Florida. In 1996, he purchased his first domain name, bowlingball.com, with the vision of revolutionizing the bowling industry through the Internet. By 2002, we had added eleven more pro shops in Florida and Georgia.

With 29 years of Internet presence and 44 years in business, we have grown from humble beginnings to the largest online retailer of bowling equipment globally. Initially operating from overcrowded pro shops and rented storage units, we consolidated in 2002 into an 11,000-square-foot warehouse with over four million dollars in inventory.

In 2011, we launched Pyramid Bowling, offering high-quality bowling balls, bags, shoes, and accessories. Pyramid products, like our Monster Tac ball cleaner, have become industry leaders. We later introduced advanced products, including the HPX shoe line with interchangeable slide soles and heels. Our inventory now features an extensive range of Pyramid-branded products, complemented by our exclusive accessory lines and major bowling brands.

In 2024, Pyramid's popularity surged with products like the Pyramid Path Pro Deluxe Double Roller Bag, the number one selling double roller in the U.S., and the Path Seamless Shoes, the best-selling men’s and women’s bowling shoes of 2024. Looking forward into 2025 sees the launch of our exciting new Hey Bro line, bringing innovation and style to the bowling world.

After decades of operating pro shops, we have sold all physical locations to focus entirely on growing our online presence at bowlingball.com. This transition allows us to prioritize customer experience, product innovation, and inventory management.

We are proud to manufacture and distribute Pyramid products ourselves while stocking all major bowling brands. We are not a drop-shipper—we personally handle and inspect every product for quality and accuracy before shipping, ensuring the best customer experience.
