Kimberly Roe Named to Bowling First Team All-MEAC Squad
The scoring leader of the Lady Wildcats received the proper recognition for the play that she put in during the 2009 season
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference officials announced the 2009 MEAC All-Conference Teams Wednesday Afternoon, with one Lady Wildcat receiving All-Conference accolades. Kimberly Roe was named to the First Team All-MEAC squad for her first time receiving conference honors.
The 5’9” Junior from New Smyrna Beach, Fla. bowled exceptionally well this season, always a top performer, leading the team in most of the games played this season, and earning a top individual score at several tournaments. Roe collected a total season pinfall of 8401 pins in 43 games, earning her a 195.4 pin average on the year. Her highest score of the season was a 269, bowled at the Mid-Winter Holiday Classic in January.
As for the rest of the conference, Maryland Eastern Shore’s Maria Rodriguez earned the 2009 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Player of the Year award. Kim Terrell-Kearney of Delaware State was named the MEAC Coach of the Year, and Adriana Jamie, also of Delaware State was named the 2009 MEAC Rookie of the Year.
