By: bowlingball.com, 12/17/16
bowlingball.com continues our series of Editorial articles to express opinions about the bowling industry. This article asks what is your opinion of the USBC (United States Bowling Congress)?
Because this site provides editorial bowling articles, we thought it would be fun to hear from our friends what your opinion is about the USBC and how it impacts bowling?
The USBC has a primary purpose of providing guidelines, rules, and regulations for the game. Has this Association been successful in promoting bowling or is it strictly a rules governing body?
Here is additional criteria to help you determine your response:
*Are league sanctions fees too much each season?
*Are the regulations on the equipment manufacturers too strict or too lax?
*Is the USBC successful in any way marketing and promoting the growth of the game?
*Should the USBC National Tournament be more strongly promoted and advertised to draw greater attention to this annual event?
*Is emphasis on promoting youth bowling a duty or responsibility of the USBC or does it lie elsewhere?
*Are bowlers recording honor scores properly rewarded by the USBC?
*What ideas or suggestions do you have for the USBC to help the game grow?
*Does the BPAA (Bowling Proprietors Association of America) and the USBC work together well enough to grow the sport?
If you have thoughts or ideas related to this governing body for the game of bowling, please share them.
