If you were in charge of lane conditions at your local bowling center, what would be your strategy to please your customers?
Here are ideas which may lead you to commenting:
Would you demand your lane maintenance team try and duplicate the oil pattern each day or night of the week so everyone bowl in leagues competes on the same conditions?
Is it as important to get the identical lane conditions each week throughout your league season or is a slight variance acceptable?
Should the oil pattern necessarily yield a high pace of scoring or can a challenging lane condition where hitting the pocket and converting spares is the premium?
How to the majority of bowlers in your leagues react when the lane conditions varies greatly from one week to another?
What is your suggestion for the proprietor at your center to consider when developing lane oil conditioning strategies?
