The 900 Global Eternity features the S84 Response Pearl Reactive, Epoch core, and comes with the reacta gloss finish. This ball was thought to possibly be the Altered replacement, but I think it is a touch stronger and more continuous down lane. This ball is going to give a similar shape to the Absolute but be a ball up. For me when the Absolute is going just a bit too long, I can ball up to the Eternity. Compared to the Exotic Gem, the Exotic feels a bit earlier and more forward off the spot. The Eternity will sit in my bag with the Absolute as a one-two combo. Another great release from the 900 Global line.

The Eternity Pi is the newest solid ball in their lineup. It features the new Reserve Blend 901 Solid Reactive cover which is supposed to be strong but cleaner than that on the Reality and I am in agreement with that. The cover is stronger but for me it was able to get through the fronts with plenty of down lane shape. I compared the Pi to the Reality and the Eternity. Compared to the Reality, I have both ball at similar strength on the lanes but shaping differently. The Reality was earlier and rounder while the Pi was cleaner/longer but more forward shaping. Compared to the Eternity it is a ball down for sure but shaped the same for me. When the Eternity Pi was starting to read the lanes too early then the Eternity would be a good option to switch to.

The Harsh Reality is the newest solid ball in the 900 Global line. It features the new Reserve Blend 902 Solid Reactive cover and the Disturbance A.I. Asymmetric Core. It is the first asymmetric ball to feature the A.I technology. This ball is going to replace the OG Reality in the Global catalog but I think it is stronger than the original. I have the Harsh earlier and more flip or shape down lane than the reality. The reality is a touch weaker and rounder down lane. The Harsh’s shape reminds me of the Altered Reality where it would get to the spot and go left. It has plenty of continuation but just appears to be more of a solid Altered or how I am seeing it. If you are looking for a hook monster that can handle plenty of oil, then the Harsh Reality will get the job done!

The Harsh Reality Pearl is the newest pearl ball in the 900 Global line. It features the new Reserve Blend 902 Pearl Reactive cover and the Disturbance A.I. Asymmetric Core. This ball is going to sit at the top of your bag strength wise. For me this ball shapes like the Harsh Reality and will be a good step down but still has the same pop downlane. I compared mine to the DNA Coil and Attention Star. I have the HRP a ball above the DNA Coil and a couple balls above the Attention Star. The HRP is going to need some oil to look its best due to it being so strong. I think the HRP is the closest thing we have to the Altered Reality shape wise but being a touch stronger. If you are missing a big strong asym pearl then this is the ball for you. Another great release from 900 Global!

The 900 Global Origin comes with the RB 93 Hybrid Reactive cover, Ellipse Asymmetric A.I. Core, and power Edge finish. This cover and core are new from 900 Global. The strength chart that we got during the release had this ball in the mid-range but it most certainly is not. It is much stronger than I was expecting and to me it is SPI’s strongest ball out right now. I compared this ball to the harsh pearl and I have it stronger. The hard pearl is a touch cleaner and weaker for me. Maybe it is the new Power Edge finish because it feels closer to Step 2 and so far, it is really good. If you are needing a shiny ball for more oil, then this is the ball to get. It is really good and a great release from 900 Global.

The 900 Global Origin Ex features the RB 89 Solid Reactive cover, Ellipse Asymmetric A.I. Core, and comes at 2000-grit finish. This is the newest Origin in the 900 Global line and is a solid version of the original origin. Even though this is a solid version it was designed to be a cleaner cover for the everyday house shot. Compared to the original Origin, the Ex will not be as responsive down lane and more control. For me, the original is much more responsive and quicker off the spot. I will be pairing the Origin ex with the Rockstar a lot in my bag. When the Rockstar feels like it isn’t making the corner I can get the Origin Ex out for that situation. The Ex should sit between the X-Cell and Absolute Power and be a ball down from the Hyperdrive and ION Max. This is going to be a home run from 900 Global!

The 900 Global Reality Check features the new S84 Beta Hybrid Cover, the Disturbance core, and the surface comes at 4k-fast. The Reality Check is cleaner and gets down the lane further than the OG Reality. The shape is similar, but the OG Reality is much earlier than the Reality Check to me. Compared to the Altered it is not as sharp of the spot for me, a bit earlier, and has a smoother/round shape than the Altered. This ball will be a great step down from the OG Reality when it starts to pick up to early and you want to a similar shape but need a ball to get down the lane further. Compared to the Infinite Physix the Reality Check is earlier and a good 3-4 boards stronger. Another great ball in the Reality line from 900 Global!

The Sublime is the newest release is the 900 Global line. It features the 802 Hybrid cover and the AI core technology that was on the Summit. The Sublime was clean through the heads but with plenty of pop down lane. It is still quick off the friction and rounder/continuous motion. I did compare it to the Tnt Infused and have the Infused a tiny bit earlier and more forward off the friction. The Sublime just seemed a touch cleaner, still quick off the friction, but a rounder shape. I have the Infused and Sublime in the same strength zone. Compared to the Zen Gold Label, the Sublime reads the midlane earlier and is not as sharp off the spot. The ZGL is very clean but when it sees the friction if goes left, the hockey stick motion. For me, the shelf appeal might not be the best, but I believe once people start to throw it, they will like it. Another powerful addition to the 900 Global family!!

The 900 Global Sublime Focus feature the Reserve Blend 804 Solid Reactive Cover, Immersed
Symmetric AI Core, and comes at 2000-grit. The Focus is the second ball in the Sublime and
includes the new reserve blend 804. First off, this thing is a hook monster. I was expecting it to
be strong but it was much stronger than I thought. For me, it was too much for a house shot and
even on a challenge pattern that I filmed on, it just didn’t match up for me. Too be honest, I don’t
match up with solid syms very well regardless. I compared it to the Optimum Idol and the OI
feels a touch earlier and more round. The Focus was a bit longer but a lot more shape down
lane. I think this ball will be in between the OI and P2 as far as front to back hook but I think the
overall strength puts this ball above them both. This ball will need oil and be great for the
heavier volumes. This is going to be another great release from 900 Global!

The 900 Global Wolverine Dark Moss features the S70 pearl cover, the Lacerate 2.0 core, and the surface comes at 4kfast. This ball is a remake of the OG Wolverine but green with the 4k-fast surface. The Dark Moss is clean through the front on the lane and is quick off the friction. It is going to be a great ball when the lanes start to break down and/or there is a lot of friction on the lanes. When I threw this ball on the fresh, the Dark Moss just seemed to go a bit longer than I wanted. I could make it work but just not the look for me. I broke the lanes down for a couple games and after that, the Dark Moss looked amazing. I think this will be a mid to late ball in a tournament or the end of league ball when the lanes start to break down. Compared to the Zen, the Zen was earlier, stronger, and more round shape compared to the Dark Moss for me. When the Zen starts to pick up to early the Dark Moss would be a ball down for more length.

A new release from 900 Global featuring the Reserve Blend 701 Solid cover, Shrapnel 2.0 core, and comes at 4000-grit finish. This ball was designed to be a medium ball but give you that control down lane. After throwing it on house, challenge, and sport patterns it feels that way to me. When it sees the friction, it appears like it is going to jump and go left but it just smooths out and continues through the pins. I also feel that this ball is sensitive to hand position or release. If I came up the back of it, it was a very smooth and continuous motion (front to back) but if I came around it, the reaction would be more side to side off the friction. I did compare with the OG Zen and it is definitely a ball down from it as the Zen read the lane earlier and was quicker off the spot. I also threw in some shots from the DUO since the core numbers are similar but the DUO was a good ball up from the Xponent. I think for higher rev players they will enjoy this ball as it will give them control and is on the medium range for ball strength.

The Zen 25 is the newest ball in the Zen line from 900 Global. It features the RB83 Pearl Reactive cover, Meditate Symmetric A.I. Core, and comes with Power Edge finish. This is the fourth ball in the Zen line and to me, it is the best one yet. I did not match up with the first three very well for certain reasons on each ball but this one I really like how it shapes. It is clean through the fronts with plenty of down lane motion, but it is a rounder shape. For me, it sits in between the OG Zen and Gold Label, not as early/forward as the OG and not as clean and bomb down lane as the Gold Label. I will use the Z25 when I need to ball down from something like the Origin or S2 when the lanes begin to burn up and I need a ball to clear the fronts. For me, it is in the Attention Star range of a ball but being a symmetric piece it will give me another reaction on the lanes. This is a great release by 900 Global!

This is the newest ball in the Zen line and features a new cover called Reserve Blend 801 Pearl, Meditate Symmetric Core, and reacta gloss finish. First look at this ball the colors remind me of a Dark Code or UC2. After throwing this ball on house, challenge, and sport patterns it is cleaner and more angular off the spot than the OG Zen. The GL will be more of a skip/flip type of reaction compared to the OG Zen. The OG Zen is earlier and rounder on the lanes for me. I never matched up to the OG Zen even though I really wanted to but the shape of the Zen GL matches up better with my game. I can see being able to carry both these balls in your bag without overlap. When the OG Zen is starting to read earlier than you want, you can switch to the GL for a cleaner cover and more length. And the same when the GL is going too long, you can switch to the OG Zen to read the lanes earlier. This will be a good ball for transition when you need a cleaner ball through the fronts, move left, and still need the ball to make the corner down lane. Side note: To me, the shape of this ball reminds me of a Dark Code. I wish I still had a Dark Code to compare to but unfortunately I do not.

The 900 Global Zen Soul features the S77 response hybrid reactive cover and the Mediate core. When I saw this ball was a hybrid, I was hoping this ball would fit in between the Zen Master and the Zen. I can say that I was not disappointed and it fits right between them. The Zen Soul is not as early as the Zen Master but has more shape down the lane off the friction. Compared to the Zen, the Zen Soul is not as quick off the friction but is a bit earlier and smoother than the Zen. The Zen Soul allows me to control the lane which will allow me to use it on a wide range of lane conditions. I also think the Zen Soul is going to pair well with the Storm Nova. When the Zen Soul gets a little lazy down lane, I can move into the Nova for a little extra pop from the cover/core. 900 Global has hit another home run with the Zen Soul!!

The Roto Grip Attention Star features the eTrax plus pearl cover and the Momentous AV + A.I. Core. This cover was featured on the RST X-2. This ball is clean through the fronts and plenty of shape down lane when it sees the friction. In the Roto line the Attention Star will sit below the Exotic Gem. I did compare it to the Exotic and the Exotic is just an overall stronger ball. It is earlier and will be able to handle more oil than the Attention Star. When the Exotic is too much ball, the Star will be a great ball down to handle the transition better. The Attention Star will be a great middle of the bag ball in the Roto lineup!

The Roto Grip Attention Star S2 is the newest release from Roto and comes with the eTrax Plus Hybrid Reactive, Momentous AV + A.I. Core, and 2000-grit Abralon. This ball is a hybrid version of the Attention Star and when I say that it is exactly that. It shapes like the Star but is a bit earlier and can handle more oil. This is a great second ball for this line. I compared the S2 to the original Star and as you expect, it is a ball up from the Star. It is just a ball up from the Star and when the S2 is hooking too much you can move into the Star. And same with the Star, when it is not quite enough you can switch to the S2. This is a home run from Roto and will be a great one two combo.

The clone is one of the newest balls in the Roto Grip catalog. It has a slightly modified core from the OG UFO and UFO Alert. For me, this ball is closer to the OG UFO than the Alert even though I was hoping for a Alert replacement. I did knock some of the shine off the ball lightly with a 3k pad. It is overall stronger than the alert and stronger off the spot. It is not quite as strong/early as the UFO was but has more down lane shape. The clone is going to need some oil though as I threw it in league, it was a bit too much. I was able to throw it on Dragon and it looked really good.

Compared to the Gem, the clone is a ball down. The Gem is much earlier and smoother down lane than the clone was when testing. I have the clone cleaner and more shape down lane.

Compared to the Reality, at the same surface I would have them roughly the same strength wise. I would have them reading the lane in the same area but the clone appears to be more forward off the friction with the reality being a bit rounder.

The Roto Grip DUO features the MicroTrax Pearl Reactive cover, Mentor Core, and comes with the reacta gloss finish. The DUO features the same cover that is on the Exotic Gem. This ball feels like a symmetrical Exotic Gem to me. It shapes very similar but just a bit weaker from the core. I threw the Exotic Gem as a comparison and it was a bit earlier and harder off the spot for me. I also compared it to the Zen and the Zen picked up a touch earlier but was smoother/rounder off the spot. The DUO, for me, is forward off the spot and when it sees friction, it goes left. I think when you need something when the Exotic is picking up too early the DUO will be a good ball down. This ball is another great release from Roto Grip!

The Roto Grip Exotic Gem features the MicroTrax Pearl Reactive cover, Defiant LRG core, and comes with the new reacta gloss finish. The Exotic Gem is a pearl version of the Gem in the HP4 line. This ball is going to be a step down from the big solid balls, like the Gem, once they are too much ball the lane. The Exotic Gem reads the lane early but with the pearl cover stock allows the balls to get down the lane much further than the Gem with plenty of pop and continuation. The Exotic Gem is close to the Altered Reality but is earlier and a bit more continuous. It is a ball where you can stand left and throw right without worrying if it is going to be able to get back to the pocket. The Exotic Gem is a great addition to the Gem line.

The Roto Grip Gem features the MicroTrax cover and the Defiant core. Out of the box this ball was a hook monster and forced me into the 4th or 5th arrow on a fresh house shot. After a few games the cover settled down a bit for me and this is where the ball really began to shine. It allowed me to play from different parts of the lane depending on ball speed and hand position. I could move left and slow wheel it or move right, add some speed, and take some hand out of the ball. I compared the Gem to the Reality, and it was earlier and smoother by 2-3 boards. The Reality had more down lane motion. I also compared to the Helios and the Helios was 5-7 boards weaker. Compared to the Nova, it was earlier and smoother and about 4-5 board stronger. The Nova has more down lane shape similar to the Reality but a step down from both. Overall, the Gem is going to allow you control the lane with its controllable reaction.

The Hyped solid features the VTC solid cover, hyped core, and comes at 3000 grit factory finish. It has a RG of 2.52 and a Diff of 0.036 in 15lbs. This ball is designed for medium oil and at the price point, it will be a great value for anyone. The Hyped will be a good ball for most house shots and later in the tournament blocks. The shape is smooth and round which gives you plenty of control but still has some traction. For me, this ball gives me a similar shape to my Infinite Physix but just weaker and this is what caught my eye when I saw it. After throwing the Hyped, this is exactly what I was wanting for a ball down when my Infinite becomes too much and I am wanting the same shape on the lanes. It also allows me to move right and control the lanes without the ball going crazy. Whether you are high rev, high speed, low speed, or low revs this ball will be a great ball for anyone. Another great ball from the Roto Grip line!!

The Roto Grip Cosmos features the XtremeTrax Pearl Reactive, the Ikon core, and comes at 4000-grit out of box. This ball was strong out of the box, stronger than I was expecting. After a few games the Cosmos lane shined up and settled down some. Compared to the Helios, the Cosmos is a step down and will allow you to get the ball down the lane easier when the Helios is picking up too early. As the Helios becomes too much ball, the Cosmos will be the ball next out of your bag. With the Cosmos being stronger and having a controllable shape, I think this ball will be good on many sport patterns along with being the first ball out the bag for most house shot leagues. The Cosmos is a great addition to the Idol line!

The Magic Gem is the newest release in the Gem line. After throwing the Magic Gem, it was much stronger than I expected. It came at 2000-geit but being a hybrid, I was hoping it would not be as strong as the Gem. I was wrong here because it felt like a cleaner Gem with more down lane shape. I think it will be more usable on a house shot than the original Gem, but it is still going to be way too strong for what I can use. As I said before, the Magic Gem is similar strength to the original Gem but is cleaner through the fronts with more shape down lane. Compared to the Exotic, the Magic Gem is closer to the shape but overall stronger. The Magic Gem would be a ball up from the Exotic and one would ball down to the Exotic when the Magic Gem is becoming too strong. The Magic Gem is going to be good for the speed dominant bowlers and on heavier/longer volume house/sport shots.

The Optimum Idol features the MicroTrax Solid Reactive cover, the Ikon + A.I. Core Technology, and comes at 2000-grit surface. Welcome to the remake of the OG Idol and this ball is pretty close to the original. I have this ball stronger than the original but that is to be expected with the surface and A.I core technology. It still has a very similar shape as the OG Idol so if you are looking for a replacement, it has arrived. I compared the Optimum to the Phaze 2 and for me the Optimum is a slight step up from the p2. The Optimum read the midlane earlier and still had plenty of shape down lane. I felt like I could open my angles more with the Optimum and not worry about it getting back to the pocket. With the p2, I had to keep my angels closer to the pocket or else it had trouble getting back to the pocket. The Optimum Idol is here for all you Idol lovers.

The Optimum Idol Pearl comes with the MicroTrax Pearl Reactive cover, Ikon + A.I. Core Technology, and reacta gloss finish. The Optimum Idol is the newest ball in the Idol line. This ball was much smoother than I was expecting with the idol core and MicroTrax cover. This ball will definitely be a ball for me when there is some friction or burn on the lanes. I compared it to the Optimum Idol and the pearl will be a good step down from it. I really had to square up my angles to get it to shape right. When there is plenty of friction or after some transition, this ball will be a great ball to go to!

The Rockstar features the NanoStar Solid Reactive cover, Rocker + A.I. Core, and comes at 2000-grit surface. This is the newest Roto Grip ball and features a new cover and core. The cover is supposed to be a bit cleaner than your normal nano cover. This ball is going to be your typical symmetrical solid benchmark ball. This ball is going to be in the range of the Phaze 2 but not as quick down the lane as a Phaze 2. The Rockstar seems like it is more round shape down lane than what I see out of a Phaze 2. I have thrown this ball quite a bit since I drilled it, and it is good. I usually do not like symmetrical solids but this one shapes really good for me. This ball is a home run from Roto Grip.

The Roto Grip Hyperdrive comes with the MicroTrax Solid Reactive, RST + A.I. Core, and 2000-grit surface. This is the 4th ball stateside in the RST line and Roto’s new big asym ball. With the RG being higher on this ball I expected it to get a little more length and more pop down lane even with the big cover and it does just that. I have the Hyperdrive below the ION Max and it is not as early but in the same strength category, just a touch longer with more shape. The Hyperdrive should be more usable on your typical house shot and give you more shape down lane when you need it on the heavier sport patterns. I have the Gem as the strongest, ION Max is next, and then I put the Hyperdrive after the Max strength wise front to back on the lanes. This is going to be a home run from Roto Grip!

The Roto Grip RST-X3 features the Micro Trak Hybrid Reactive cover, Roto Star Tour core, and comes at a 4-k fast finish. The X3 is the third ball in this line following the RST-X1 and RST-X2. Compared to both of those, the X3 feels like the strongest in the line and one of the strongest in the SPI catalog. The RST-X1 was strong but more of a controlled shape and the X2 is clean with more punch down lane. Now the X3 feels earlier and harder off the spot compared to those two balls. The shape is different as it gets the spot, goes left (like someone kicked it), and doesn't stop. The X3 forces me into the 4th/5th arrow on my house shot and sometimes it is just too much. I did get a chance to throw this ball on the challenge pattern "Great Wall of China/48ft" and it looked amazing. For me, this ball is going to require heavier oil and I think this ball will be good for speed dominant bowlers and lower revs players who need a ball that is going to hook.

The Roto Grip TnT features the eTrax PLUS Solid cover, Torpex Core, and comes with a 2000-grit surface. This ball was cleaner through the fronts than I was expecting with plenty of pop down lane. Compared to the Gem, it is a good step down but for me, the shapes are similar. I could see myself switching to the TnT when the Gem is too much for the lane. Compared to the Phaze2, the TnT is longer and has more pop down lane. I have the Phaze2 earlier and a rounder shape compared to the TnT. When you are needing a stronger cover but still need the ball to get down the lane, this is going to be a great choice. Another amazing release from Roto Grip!

The TnT Infused is the newest release from Roto Grip and a hybrid version in the TnT line. The Infused is clean and gets through the front of the lane with plenty of pop down lane. For me, it was quick off the friction but more of a smooth quick. By this I mean when it sees the friction it hooks but does not look like someone kicked it, it is a more smooth response off the friction. Comparing the Infused to the original TnT, the TnT is much earlier and stronger than the Infused. The Infused is a good ball down from the original TnT. Compared to the DUO, the DUO is stronger and reads the lane earlier than the Infused. The DUO has a similar smoother motion when it sees the friction but is not as quick as the Infused and would consider the Infused a ball down from the DUO. This ball is clean through the fronts and controllable off the friction which is a great combo for any ball!

The Tour Dyman-X is one the newest balls in the Roto Grip catalog. It features the new mild-asymmetric Rondure Tour Core. It has a Low RG, Low Differential, Mild int diff. This ball is going to be similar to an IQ tour shape but a little earlier and smoother down lane. The flare is very low and tight, almost as if you were throwing urethane with a resin cover. This ball is going to let you control the lanes, especially the backends.

Compared to the Tnt, the TDX seems a touch weaker and is longer but shapes similar. I would have the TDX sitting below the TnT. The TnT was early for me and gave me issues due to the cover strength. The TDX will give you more length and with the mild asym, it will still give you shape down lane.

Compared to the P2, the TDX would be a ball down from the P2 as well. The P2 was much earlier and quicker off the friction, for me. The TDX would be a good ball to transition to when the P2 is starting to read the lanes too early or you need something with a bit more control.

The Roto Grip X-Cell features the eTrax ULTRA Solid Reactive cover, Nucleus + A.I. Core, and comes at 2000-grit. This is the newest release in the cell line and has been awhile since we have seen a cell ball. This ball is going to be a ball down from the Gem and just below the Pi and Reality. The X-Cell is cleaner and gets down the lane a bit further than those balls for me. This ball is in the Eternity Pi range for strength but a bit longer and more down lane shape. The Pi is my go to ball right now for heavy oil and when it starts to read the lane too soon then the X-Cell is a great ball to switch too. This would be the same for the situation for the Reality for those who love that ball. This ball does not disappoint and it is a home run for Roto Grip!!

The Storm Absolute features the R2S Deep Hybrid Reactive, Sentinel Core, and comes with Reacta Gloss finish. The R2S Deep cover is supposed to be a cleaner cover than the original R2S cover that allows the ball to get through the heads with a big enough core to make the turn once it hits the friction. After throwing it, this describes it very well and was a bit too clean for me. I did very lightly hit it with a 3k pad to just knock the top shine off and it really came to life for me. This ball is amazing when I need to move left and throw right or as well call it “The Slow Wheel”. I can see using this ball when the Exotic Gem is starting to read the lanes too early and you are needing a cleaner ball to get down the lane a bit further. I have had some big sets with this ball, and it already found a place in my bag. This ball will be a house shot killer and another super addition to the Storm line!

The Absolute Power is one of the newest additions to the Storm line. It features the R2S Deep solid cover and the Sentinel core. This ball having a solid cover, it is on the cleaner side of the solid covers in the SPI family. The Power should sit at the bottom of your solid arsenal. This ball is as Absolute on steroids and will be able to handle more oil but still gives you plenty of backend shape down lane. Compared to the original Absolute, this ball will be earlier but still give you similar shapes on the lane. If you are finding the Power reading the lanes to soon the Absolute will be a great step down to give you that extra length. The Absolute Power is another great ball in the catalog!

The Storm DNA features the EXO Solid cover, the Supercoil Core, and comes at a 2000-grit surface. The DNA is the newest solid ball in Storm’s lineup. The first time I threw this ball I was thinking it was going to hook at my feet but I was surprised at how well it got through the fronts. It has plenty of shape down lane once it sees the friction. I compared the DNA to the SuperNova and Reality. For me, this ball sits in between them. The Reality was earlier and stronger off the spot while the SuperNova was longer and a bit smoother off the friction. I think it will fit well when the Reality and Gem are too much ball but you need a solid that is a touch weaker. Another great addition to the Storm catalog.

The Storm DNA Coil features the EXO Pearl Reactive cover, Supercoil Core, and reacta gloss finish. The coil is the second ball in the DNA line with the first being a solid. I was not sure about this ball but it is surprisingly good. I have the Coil as pretty clean though the fronts and plenty of shape down the lane, more of a hockey stick hook. I compared it to the Blackout and have the Blackout overall a touch stronger than the Coil. The Blackout was earlier and a bit smoother than the Coil. When the Blackout is picking up too early and you need something to get down the lane further but still strong when it sees the friction, the Coil will be a great option. Another great ball in the Storm catalog!

The new Storm Equinox features the A1S Pearl Reactive cover, Solarion A.I. Core, and Power Edge finish. This ball features a new cover and core from Storm. The design on this ball was for the everyday house shot bowler to use. This ball is quick off the friction and will give you the old hockey stick shape. I enjoy it when I need to get left and can wheel the lane. I do not have to worry about it now making it back because it saves so much energy and when it sees the friction it goes left. I did compare this one to the Attention Star and I have the Star earlier and smoother of the friction. These two could pair nicely with each other. I have the Equinox in between the Attention Star and Zen 25 strength wise. This ball is going to be a house shot killer!

The Storm Fate is the latest ball from the Belmo line. It comes with the ReX Pearl Reactive, F-8 Core, and Reacta Gloss finish. For me, this is Belmo’s best ball to date, it is good. It will sit in between the Infinite and P5 in my bag. When my Infinite starts to see the lane too early, I can use the Fate due to the pearl cover and higher RG core allowing it to get down the lane a bit further. Or when I need to move left and throw to right, it has no problem coming back. When the P5 is getting down the lane too far and I am needing something to pick up a bit sooner, I can move into the Fate. The Fate will be good when the lanes start to break down in league and in the middle of tournament blocks. Another winner from the Belmo line!

The Storm Infinite Physix features the REX pearl reactive cover, the Atomic core, and comes at 4000-grit out of box. The Infinite is a round and strong ball down lane. You are going to need a bit of oil for this ball. Compared to the Dark Code I have Infinite about 3-5 boards stronger and it is more continuous for me. Compared to the Proton/Reality/Gem it is going to be a ball down from them. If you need something to get down the lane when the Proton/Reality/Gem are getting to be too much ball, then the Infinite would be a good step down. If you like the Dark Code and it just seems to be going a bit long and you need something a bit stronger, then the Infinite will be the choice of ball. Another winner from the Physix line!

The Storm ION Max features the NRG Solid Reactive cover, Element Max A.I. Core, and comes
at 2000-grit. This is the newest ball in the ION series. The core was altered in the Max to
increase the differential compared to the ION Pro. First off, this ball is a hook monster. You will
need plenty of oil and this ball will sit in the Gem range for traction and hook. I tested it out of
box on house and was not unusable for me, but I did throw it on Chromium and couldn’t miss
the pocket. Since the Gem got discontinued, I compared it to the Harsh Reality, and I think the
Max is a touch stronger and with similar shape down lane. You could really tell the difference
when I got left and the Max was able to recover better from those zones. The ION Pro is just at
least a ball down from the Max and is much cleaner with more shape down lane. Since I bowl
mostly on house, I polished my Max and it looks amazing on house for me. I think this ball will
be seen a lot on heavier volume sport patterns. Another home run from Storm!

The new ION Pro Solid features the TX-16 Solid Reactive cover, Element Tour A.I. Core and comes with Power Edge finish. This is the newest ball in the ION line. This is a solid cover stock but is polished with Power Edge. There is a new craze going on, it appears, with polishing solid balls here recently. I will be the first to admit that I was not happy with the power edge on it. I wanted a solid ball at 2k with this core and guess what I did? Yep! I hit mine with 500/2000 to take the polish off it and let me tell you it is exactly what I was hoping for. It is cleaner through the fronts with a little pop down lane but is not too crazy. It is more of a control snap if that is how you want to look at it. I was not a huge fan of the original, just a bit too clean for me but this one is money. It is going to be a cleaner Phaze2 or Rockstar with a bit more pop down lane. Storm has put out some bangers this year and you can add the ION Pro Solid to that list. The ball is amazing and going to fit all styles!

The Storm IQ Tour Ruby features R2S Pearl Cover, C3 Centripetal Control Core, and comes with reacta gloss finish. First off, this balls looks and smells amazing. Honestly, I do not match up with the IQ line very well. I have thrown the IQTS and Emerald with both of them being so quick/sharp off the spot that I leave a million 9 pins. Throwing the Ruby, it has a more midlane reaction which smooths it out for me. This was great news for me because it allows me to get right and be able to control the lane. I compared it to the Phaze 5 and Revenant. The P5 was much earlier which made it a smoother shape but the Revenant was close in shape for me but a bit earlier. Compared to the emerald, I have it a touch stronger and reads the lane a little earlier. This ball is a home run for Storm.

The Storm Lightning Blackout comes with the ReX Pearl Reactive cover, Warp A.I. Core, and reacta gloss finish. This ball has a higher RG at 2.53 and lower diff at 0.029. This ball is clean down the lane and will need some friction. It will not be a ball thrown on the fresh as it will need some lane break down to really shine. I compared this ball to the VEBO and it is a good ball or two down from it. The LBO may be a step down but for me, I feel as if it would be two balls down as it just does not have enough core to be a ball down. The LBO looks good when the lanes break down or there is a lot of friction when you need a clean ball to get down the lane. Another great release in the Storm line!

The Storm Night Road features the ReX cover, the Inverted Fe2 core, and comes with the 4-k fast surface. The ReX cover on the Night Road was recently on the Infinite Physix and I was hoping this ball would be a step down when the Infinite is hooking too much. The NR, for me, was a smooth shape and reminded me of the Infinite. I needed some friction for the NR to shine and still give a smooth controlled shape. This ball will be used later in a tournament block or when there is a lot of friction on the lanes and you need something to get down the lane. It is a ball or two down from the Infinite with a similar shape and will be a go to when I am looking for that kind of shape when the lanes break down. Another home run in the Road series!

The Storm Nova features the R2X hybrid cover stock and the Ignition core. Out of the box this ball was strong and has no issue with handling oil. After a few games and some shine on the Nova, I found it to be even more versatile. I could take some handout of the ball and play straighter or move inside and wheel it. For me the Nova sits right under the 900 Global Reality. When the Nova is going a bit too long or too much oil I can switch to the Reality. The same goes when the Reality is picking up too early, I can move into the Nova to get it down the lane further before reading the friction. This ball is good and is going to be seen everywhere!

The Phaze 4 features the trusted R2S Pearl cover and Velocity core. With the R2S Pearl cover being clean it allows the ball to clear the heads getting down the lane and with the strong Velocity core, it creates a sharp reaction off the friction. This ball is a great transition ball when the Phaze 2 is starting up to soon and you need something to get down the lane. I have found that if you are on a THS and there is friction down lane, this ball is what you are looking for. I have been throwing the Phaze 4 and Spectre a lot since they came out and for me, they complement each other very well. When there is a not enough friction down lane for the Phaze 4 and you need something to pick up a bit earlier, then I switch to the Spectre. And the same is true when the Spectre is picking up earlier than I want I can switch the Phaze 4 which allows me to get it further down lane before it reads the friction.

The Storm Phaze AI comes with TX-16 Pearl Reactive, the Velocity A.I. Core, and the new Power Edge finish. This is the newest ball in the Phaze line from Storm. The cover is the pearl version of the P2 and introduces Storm’s newest finish Power Edge. This ball was much cleaner than I was expecting but has plenty of shape down lane and is going to be a house shot monster. I compared my Phaze AI to the Summit Peak and for me the Peak was stronger overall. The Peak read the lane earlier but is more forward off the spot. The Phaze AI would be a ball down from the Peak once the Peak becomes too much ball. I can also see going from the P2 to the Phaze AI making them a good one-two combo. The Phaze AI is another home run from Storm.

The Storm Phaze 5 features R2S Pearl Reactive, Velocity Core, and comes with the new Reacta Gloss finish. The Phaze 5 is the newest ball in the Phaze line and a remake of the Phaze 4. If you were missing the polish on Storm’s balls recently, it is back with the new Reacta Gloss finish. The Phaze 5 was surprisingly clean and round/controlled shape. The Phaze 5 shapes very similar to the Phaze 2 except it is much longer. Compared to the Phaze 4, it is a bit longer and rounder. The Phaze 4 seemed to stand up earlier and sharper off the end of the pattern. For me, the Phaze 5 allows me to move right and play straighter angles. A lot of the houses where I bowl have a ton of friction in the front part of the lane and I have had no issues getting the Phaze 5 through that friction. If you are needing a ball when there is a lot of friction, game two or three in league, or later in tournament blocks then the Phaze 5 will be a perfect fit. Another home run for the Phaze line!

The Storm Physix Blackout features the NeX Pearl Reactive cover, Atomic A.I. Core, and Sanded at 2000 Grit Abralon. This is the newest ball in the Blackout line from storm and using NeX cover on a ball that we have not seen in a while. This ball is strong and wants to read really early out of the box with a fresh cover. As it lane shined up it did not read so early as it gave me more of that down lane pop. But with a fresh cover at 2000-grit or lower, this ball could be one of the biggest balls in the bag sitting just below the big sanded solids. Right now during the winter months the oil seems to be a little heavier or more volume so the Blackout is first out of the bag ball. I have not shined it up but the few I have seen seem like an earlier and stronger VEBO, if you went that route. This is going to be a great ball for higher volume and another great release from Storm

The Storm Revenant features the R3S Pearl Reactive, Vector Core, and comes with Reacta Gloss finish. The Revenant is the replacement for the Spectre that was banned last year with the factory finish and color being the only differences in the balls. First thing I noticed with this ball is it is really clean through the fronts and has some down lane motion. It seemed a touch cleaner and more down lane shape than the Spectre. For me, this ball will sit in my bag when the lanes start to transition, and I am needing something that will handle the burn. I compared it to the Fate in the current line and when the Fate is starting to read the lanes early and I am looking for a ball that will get down the lanes, I can switch to the Revenant. It is going to be a great combo with the Fate. One of the releases everyone has been waiting for and another great addition to the catalog!

The Spectre features the R3S pearl cover and the Vector core. R3S pearl cover reads the midlane giving it a smooth controllable shape. I find myself using the Spectre when my balls are getting down the lane a little too far before they see friction. This is when I would switch to the Spectre when I need a ball to pick up a bit earlier or I am needing a controllable shape to play the lanes. This ball has been overlooked with the release of the Phaze 4, but I use the Spectre when the Phaze 4 is getting down the lane to far and I need a ball to pick up sooner. Don’t sleep on the Spectre!

The new Storm Summit comes with TX-23 Hybrid Reactive cover, Centripetal HD -A.I. Core, and comes at 3000-grit surface. The Summit is going to be a great benchmark ball. The Summit reads the lane early, is round, and continuous going down the lane. I got Axiom vibes from the motion of the ball. It was not as early as the original Axiom but they shaped similar. Compared to the Phaze2, the Summit is earlier and smoother. The Phaze2 was similar in strength but was a bit longer and more shape down lane. I heard a couple people say it is a stronger Zen from how it shapes on the lane and I can also see that. The Summit also shined when the lanes were over/under and was able to help blend the lanes out. This ball will be a step down from your big solids when they are reading the lanes too early. Another home run from Storm!

The Storm Summit Ascent comes with the R2S Solid Reactive, Centripetal™ HD -A.I. Core, and 4000-grit surface. This is the newest ball in the Summit line. This Summit is the cleanest of the three so far and gets down the lane with plenty of pop. This ball reminds me of a symmetrical Absolute Power or in that area as I see it. I think this is the weakest of the 3 summits as the original summit and peak are a bit stronger. I compared it to both the Power and Peak and felt like a ball just below the Power/Peak. The Ascent seems to be a stronger IO Tour Solid due to the core being stronger with a bit more midlane. I am already liking this ball and it's going to be another home run from Storm!

The Summit Peak is one of the new balls in the Storm line. The Peak features the TX-23 pearl cover and the Centripetal HD inside the A.I. core. This is the second ball in the Summit line with the original Summit being the first. This ball was stronger than expected, clean through the fronts, and plenty of pop down lane. It gives you the skid flip motion from a Storm ball. I compared it to the original Summit and the peak is much cleaner/longer down lane and quick off the spot. The original Summit reads the middle part of the lane earlier and controls the lane front to back. The Peak will be a great option for when the Summit is reading the lanes earlier and you are needing a ball to get down the lanes. Another great addition to the Storm lineup!

The Storm Super Nova features the NeX Solid cover, Ignition core, and comes at 2000-grit out of box. Out of box this ball was a bit too strong for our house pattern and would burn up too quickly. I reset the surface to 3k and let it lane shine for a couple games. This is where the ball really looks the best for me. I compared this ball to the original Nova and it is earlier and a bit smoother down lane. It forces me left about 3-5 boards compared to the Nova on our house shot. I had a chance to throw the Super Nova on a 44ft/28mL sport pattern and it looked really great. I was able to move right or move in and get to the pocket with no issues. I threw the Nova on there as well but it was just a bit too sharp off the spot or had some issues getting back to the pocket.. The Super Nova is really going to shine on higher volume sport or house shots.

The Storm The Road features the ReX Hybrid Reactive cover, Inverted Fe² A.I. Core , and reacta gloss finish. The Road is the newest ball in the Hyroad line from Storm. It is also the first time we are seeing ReX Hybrid cover. After throwing the ball, it was much stronger than I was thinking. The cover lets it get through the front but picks up in the mid lane earlier than the original Hyroads. I compared the road to the IQ Ruby and the road is a ball above the ruby. The Ruby is cleaner and sharper down lane compared to the road. I think they will compliment each other when the road is picking up too early and you need something to get down the lane further, the ruby will be a good ball down. This is another great addition to the Hyroad line!

The new Storm Typhoon features the Reactor Pearl Reactive cover, Atmos A.I. Core, and Power Edge finish. This is the newest ball in the hot line and it's been a minute since we have seen a ball in the hot line. This ball has a RG of 2.53 and diff of 0.042 which we have not seen these numbers on a ball in a while. This ball will sit towards the bottom of the bag but is also going to be stronger than expected being in the hot line. This ball will be in the IQ Ruby and Road Warrior range strength wise but a touch cleaner with more backend than both of them. This will be a good ball when the lanes break down and you need the cleaner option to get down the lane but still have enough to get back. This is another fantastic release from Storm!

The Blackout is much stronger than expected or what I was thinking it would be. It clears the fronts well but when it sees the friction it goes left. I compared the Blackout to the Absolute and the Zen Gold Label. For the Absolute, I have it longer and much sharper off the spot. I see the Absolute being earlier and a bit smoother on the lanes. For the Zen GL, I have the Zen GL as a ball down and it felt overall weaker on the lanes. Unfortunately, I did not have a Dark Code to compare to but from throwing the Dark Code, the Blackout is a little longer and sharper off the spot. I have the Dark Code a touch earlier and not as angular off the spot.
