The Sublime by 900 Global has the reserve blend 802 hybrid cover stock, finished with Reacta Gloss. This is a symmetrical ball, with a medium/high flare potential in the 900 global, 800 line of bowling balls. The box finish is Reacta gloss, but, as always, the surface can be altered to suit a variety of lane conditions. It is a very attractive neon purple/amber/black color combo.

I have used the Sublime on a 40 ft. kegel house pattern, and a variety of modified house patterns in different houses.

I’ve thrown the Sublime at the Reacta Gloss box finish, and have made some surface changes along the way. I’ve found, for me, changing the surface to 1000/2000 grit abralon really smooths out the reaction, which is what I was looking for in my arsenal. I’ve found this to be a good benchmark, “go to” ball when I start to see the transition. The Sublime is strong through the pins, when the lanes starts to dry up. This ball continues through the pins really well, again, when the lanes start to dry out.
The Sublime definitely has a spot in my arsenal. It gets through the heads cleanly and makes a nice smooth turn down lane. I highly recommend the Sublime if you’re looking for a nice mid range ball in your bag. The Sublime fits in between the Magic Gem and the Exotic Gem in my arsenal. I highly recommend this ball if you’re looking for a nice mid range ball .

The ASYLUM is a hybrid version of the DISTURBED.

I used the ASYLUM on our 39 ft. house pattern at box finish (3000 grit)

The ASYLUM, at box finish, hooked a bit too early for me on our house pattern. I brought the surface up to 4000 grit, no polish, and found i could use it on our house shot. It’s a great complement to the DISTURBED, as it gets down lane a bit further, but makes a stronger move on the back end.

I also used the ASYLUM on our modified house/tournament shot. I found the ASYLUM gave me great reaction on the modified house pattern, which has more volume than our THS. I brought the ASYLUM back to box finish for this pattern and was able to use it throughout the qualifying block. As the lanes transitioned, I was able to move in and still carry the corner pins, which is a great quality in this ball. Later in the day, I can then throw the DERANGED, and get that extra length for the final games of the tournament.

This is a great ball that fits right in between the DISTURBED, and the DERANGED. Very smooth through the heads with a big turn to the pocket and a nice heavy roll through the pins.

The Attention Star has the original Momentous Core, previously only available in the international releases. It’s wrapped in the proven eTrax PLUS Pearl Reactive cover stock. This is an Asymmetrical ball in the Roto Grip HP4 line of balls. The box finish is reacta gloss. As always, the surface can be altered to suit a variety of lane conditions. It is an attractive Berry/Silver/Iron color.

I have used the Attention Star on a 41 ft. kegel house pattern, and a modified House tournament pattern.

I’ve thrown the Attention Star at the reacta gloss box finish, and haven’t made any surface changes. I’ve found this to be a very good ball on fresh back ends. Once the carry down comes into play, I can move out a couple boards and keep the ball playing well. As the lanes broke down, I was able to move back in and did not lose my carry. The Attention Star is very strong through the pins, even for a lower rev player. I am able to use this ball for all 3 games on league. My first set out of the box was 781 and i didn’t put it down at all during the evening.
The Attention Star has earned a spot in my bag every time I shoe up. It gets through the heads extremely clean and goes into a nice roll down lane. I highly recommend the Attention Star, and add a star if you’re a lower rev player like myself. Don’t miss out on this ball. You won’t regret buying it.

The CRITICAL has the Triliptic Core surrounded by a hybrid reactive 67MH coverstock, with a 6” flare potential, and an asymmetrical core. This ball comes out of the box at 3000-grit. The cover can be changed by sanding to a lower grit, or polishing, to suit a variety of lane conditions.

The CRITICAL is the newest release in Roto Grips popular HP3 line, which included the popular Disturbed, Hysteria, and Haywire.

I have used the CRITICAL on our local house patterns.

I’ve used the CRITICAL at the box 3000 grit finish, 1000 grit finish, and 4000 grit, polished, and found it to be much stronger reacting than I’d expected. It reacted for me, more like a high performance ball, but in the mid performance price range. I found it to be very even rolling and arcing, and continuous through the pins. At box finish, it was a good starting ball for me. It got through the heads, and had a strong, even finish. With the 4000 grit polished, I was able to go to the CRITICAL later in the set, with more length, and snap on the back end. At 1000 grit finish, it started up earlier, and would be great on a little heavier oil pattern. If you were a fan of the Critical Theory, you will be a fan of the CRITICAL.

The Dare Devil Danger has the Madcap Core wrapped in the Psyched Hybrid reactive coverstock. It has a very attractive Red/Orange/Blue shell. This ball comes out of the box at 1500-grit polished, with a medium to high flare potential. The cover can be sanded for earlier hook and roll, or left at box if you’re looking to complete your arsenal with a ball to give you more length and good snap off the pattern.

I have used the Dare Devil Danger on house patterns and on a modified tournament shot of 41’.

For our 39 ft. house pattern,I used the Dare Devil Danger at the 1500-grit polished, box finish. It got through the heads better than I expected, and finishes much stronger off the pattern than i anticipated, continuing through the pins. As the pattern transitioned, I was able to move in and still carry the corner pins.

On our 40 ft. house pattern, I, again used the Dare Devil Danger at box finish and it was still strong enough for the shot. I was able to play a little further out, more in my comfort zone, on the longer pattern. This ball saves it’s energy for when you need it most. Right through the pin deck.

On the 41 ft. modified pattern, i hit it with 2000, no polish. This smoothed out my reaction, gave me an earlier roll and set up nicely for me. When the lanes transitioned, I went to the pearl Dare Devil and was able to stay in the same zone.

The Dare Devil Danger is a great ball in the popular Dare Devil line. It is a great complement to the Dare Devil and Dare Devil Trick, filling that spot right between the two in my bag. The Dare Devil Danger is a fixture in my arsenal these days.

I tested the Defiant Soul on our 40 ft. house pattern, at box finish (4000 abralon), and on Kegel “middle of the road” navigation pattern (39 ft.)

On the Kegel nav. pattern, I found the Soul to be my best piece. It came off the pattern with a strong motion to the pocket without overreacting. If I missed a board or two right, it still made a strong recovery and carried. It smoothed out the pattern for me, where others gave me more of an over/under reaction.

This ball is great on our 40 ft house pattern as well. It’s a great compliment to the original Defiant. This ball gets down lane and makes a slightly later, stronger turn to the pocket. When the Defiant starts to read the mid lane too soon, I use this piece and it’s like having a fresh shot again! The Soul has a very strong back end motion to the pocket. It is always in my bag, for THS or tournament patterns. I will not be leaving this ball home. It is a must have for your arsenal!

I tested the DERANGED on our 40 ft. THS, at box finish of 1500 grit polished.

This ball is a great complement to the DISTURBED, as it gets further down lane, but makes a stronger move to the pocket coming off the pattern. When the DISTURBED starts making it’s move too early, i go to the DERANGED for the little extra length and more angular move to the pocket. This is a very hard hitting ball. I had no trouble getting the corners out when using this ball.

I also used this ball on the senior womens US open pattern in Columbus OH. It gave me just the right entry angle to carry, later in the day, as the pattern started to break down.

This ball is a must have! Add a star if you are a fan of the DISTURBED.

I tested this ball on our THS and it worked best with the surface at 4000 grit polished.
I used box finish (2000 grit) for Kegel middle of the road navigation pattern.

Likes: I like the predictability of this ball. It rolls nicely through the heads, while making a strong, yet even, turn to the pocket. With the 4000 grit polished surface, it did not overreact coming off the house pattern. As the house pattern dried up, I was able to move in and still carry the corners. This ball continues right through the pin deck, taking out everything in its path.
On the Kegel nav. pattern, with the box finish, it still gave me a nice even rolling look, and again, came off the pattern very smooth and made a nice, strong turn to the pocket. A must have for any arsenal in today's game!

The ETERNAL CELL has the proven Nucleus Core from the popular CELL line, wrapped in a solid reactive 75M coverstock. This ball comes out of the box at 1500-grit polished, with a 6” + flare potential. The cover can be sanded for earlier hook and roll, as opposed to skid/flip.

I have used the ETERNAL CELL on house patterns.

For our 39 ft. house pattern,I used the ETERNAL CELL at the 1500-grit polished, box finish. It got through the heads better than I expected, and finished very strong off the pattern, continuing through the pins. As the pattern transitioned, I was able to migrate in and still get the corners out.

On our 40 ft. house pattern, I, again used the ETERNAL CELL at box finish and it was still strong enough for the shot. I was able to play a couple boards further right on the 40 ft. pattern, than on the 39 ft. pattern and I had no trouble getting out the corners. It holds tremendous energy coming off the pattern and continues through the pins.

The ETERNAL CELL is a great ball for fans of the CELL line. It is very strong off the pattern, yet I was able to play a couple boards further out than I would with the HYPER CELL. I don’t head for the lanes without this ball in my bag.

The HALO has the MicroTrax-S18, solid cover stock, first introduced on the popular Roto Grip Idol ball, wrapped around the asymmetrical Centrum Core. The box finish is 2000 grit, but can be polished or sanded to give several different looks. The color is a mix of coal, fuchsia, and sky blue.

I have used the HALO on a 39 ft., and 40 ft. house/tournament pattern. I found it to be a little early starting up on the 39 ft. pattern, but still continued strong through the pins when i migrated in to 3rd arrow and picked up more head oil. Box finish gave me a good look starting out on the 40 ft, medium volume tournament pattern for a couple games. I was then able to ball down to the IDOL during transition.
I changed the surface to 4000 grit and polished it. This gave me a great look on the 39 ft. medium volume house pattern. It got down the lane better for me, and really faced up strong to the pocket, with very little deflection. It saved so much energy with the polish, it gave me a backend angle that, as a lower rev player, i cannot usually create myself, translating to better carry.

This is an awesome piece of equipment that hits very hard, and can give you earlier or later roll by experimenting with surface changes. It is a good replacement for my Sure Lock, with a little earlier startup. It’s earned a regular spot in my arsenal these days.

The HALO PEARL has the eTrax-P18 pearl cover stock, first introduced on the popular Roto Grip Idol Pearl ball, wrapped around the asymmetrical Centrum Core. The box finish is 1500 grit polished, but can be sanded for more versatility. The color is a mix of coal, fuchsia, and sky blue. The 14 lb. version has a 2.54 RG, with a differential of 0.050

I have used the HALO PEARL on a variety of house conditions, 39 to 44 ft. with moderate volume, and modified house patterns in area tournaments. I found it to be very strong out of the box, which allowed me to play between 12 and 15 on the fresh. Once the lanes started to transition, I was then able to ball up to the Halo and move in to catch more head oil, or ball down to the Idol Pearl and stay in the same area.
I have kept the surface at the 1500 grit polished box finish. This gave me a great look on the medium volume house patterns. It got down the lane for me, and really faced up strong to the pocket, with very little deflection. It gives me a great entry angle for maximum carry, which, as a lower rev player, i can’t always create.

This is an great piece that hits very hard, and can give you earlier or later roll by experimenting with surface changes. It gives me a similar look to the old Cell Pearl of years ago. I believe this ball will suit many different styles and rev rates. It is rapidly becoming the favorite piece in my arsenal, and first ball out of my bag.

The HALO VISION has the eTrax-H-19 Hybrid Reactive cover stock, wrapped around the asymmetrical Centrum Core weight block. The box finish is 4000 grit, but can be polished or sanded for different desired reactions. The color is a mix of Gold & Sky Blue Pearl/Purple Solid. The 14 lb. version has a 2.54 RG, with a differential of 0.050, and PSA differential of 0.015. I drilled the Halo Vision for maximum back end reaction.

I have used the HALO VISION on a THS of 39 ft. with moderate volume, and modified house patterns in area tournaments and our home house scratch league. I found it to be pretty strong on the back end, for a good fit between my Halo Solid and Halo Pearl. I use it as my benchmark ball to get a read on the lanes.
I have kept the surface at the 4000 grit box finish. This gave me a great look on the medium volume house patterns, and the modified house patterns I’ve tried it on. I haven’t tried any surface changes as of yet, as it’s had a perfect place in my arsenal as is. It got down the lane for me, longer than the Halo Solid, and faced up a little stronger to the pocket. When the corner pins start to show up, I go to my Halo Pearl, or even the Idol Pearl for more down lane energy. Bye bye corners pins.

This is a nice fit in my arsenal, in between the Halo Solid and Halo Pearl. It gives me a similar look to the old Defiant Soul, which is the look Roto Grip was going for in this piece. Mission accomplished. You won’t be disappointed in the reaction, and continuation through the pins that you’ll see with the Halo Vision.
Thanks for listening.

The HAYWIRE has the symmetrical Middle Roll 70 weight block from the popular HP3 line, wrapped with the proven 80H Microbite Solid reactive cover stock. The box finish is 2000 grit, but as always, can be polished or changed to suit a wide variety of lane conditions.

I have used the HAYWIRE on a 39 ft. light volume house pattern, and a 40 ft. medium volume house pattern.

For the 39 ft. light volume THS, I tried the HAYWIRE at the 2000 grit box finish, but had better success changing the surface to 4000 grit and adding a bit of polish. This allowed me to get the ball through the heads easily and save plenty of energy for the back end. I was able to move in with it, but found that by game 3, I struggled a bit with corner pins. At this time, the UNHINGED became my “go to” ball.
Although the HAYWIRE has the same Middle Roll 70 core as the DISTURBED, I find the HAYWIRE to have more overall hook than I anticipated.

On the medium volume 40 ft. pattern, the HAYWIRE performed best for me at the 2000 grit box finish. As the pattern broke down, I was able to move further in without losing my carry. It is more aggressive coming off the pattern than I originally thought.
If you are looking to possibly replace the DISTURBED in your arsenal, the HAYWIRE may be just what you’re looking for. The HAYWIRE is very versatile with different surface changes, and even works well with a little polish for drier lanes.

The HECTIC is the latest addition to Roto Grip’s HP2 line. The Hectic is equipped with the Late Roll 56 Core, pearl reactive coverstock, 4” flare potential, and comes out of the box at 1500-grit polished.

I used the HECTIC on our 39 ft. house pattern, at box finish (1500 grit polished).

I found the HECTIC to be extremely clean through the heads, with a very strong flip coming off the pattern. The HECTIC is stronger than I anticipated. I was able to start with the HECTIC, playing between 5 and 10 boards and got a very good back end reaction. I got the length that I needed, with great pin carry. The corners weren’t an issue, even as the set progressed and I had to migrate in a bit.
This is a great piece for Light/Medium oil patterns. It is a great mid priced ball for bowlers of all skill levels. If you love the Devour, you won’t be disappointed in the HECTIC, as it has the same core, with a pearl reactive coverstock for more length and stronger flip.

The HYPER CELL has the proven Nucleus Core from the popular CELL line, and the also proven, MicroBite Coverstock, from the DEFIANT line.
What a combination ROTOGRIP has put together in this ball!

I have used the HYPER CELL on house patterns, modified house patterns, and sport patterns. Just by changing the surface of the HYPER CELL, I was able to use this ball on a variety of different patterns.

For our 39 ft. THS, I’ve had much success using the HYPER CELL at 4000 grit, no polish. It gets through the heads very smooth, and still has a strong turn to the pocket, continuing through the pins. As the pattern broke down, I was able to move in with the HYPER CELL and did not lose carry on the corner pins.

On our modified house/tournament shot, I brought the cover back to the 2000 grit box finish and it was plenty of ball for the shot. I had no trouble getting the corners out. It had plenty of energy on the back end, even with the extra surface on it.

On sport pattern, I took the cover down to 1000 grit. Once again, very smooth through the heads, and made a nice even roll to the pocket and right through the pins.

This is a very versatile piece, that can be used on a variety of oil patterns with just some slight surface changes. If you were a fan of the CELL line years ago, and/or the more recent DEFIANT line, then don’t let this ball pass you by. It is a “must have” in MY arsenal, and should be in yours too.

The Hyper Cell Fused has the proven Nucleus Core from the popular Cell line, wrapped in the newly created eTrax-H18 coverstock, for enhanced traction. This is a hybrid cover stock. This ball comes out of the box at 1500-grit polished, with a high flare potential. The color is a very attractive Jet Black/Silver/Violet, which can be sanded for earlier grab.

I have used the Hyper Cell Fused on house patterns, and a modified house pattern.

For our 39 ft. house pattern, I used the Hyper Cell Fused at the 1500-grit polished box finish. It got through the heads with ease, and was very angular exiting the pattern, continuing through the pins. This ball hits hard! It allows me to open up the lane more than I’m usually able to.

On the 40 ft. modified house pattern, I again used the Hyper Cell Fused at box finish and it was plenty strong enough for the shot. I was able to play a couple boards further right on the 40 ft. pattern, than on the 39 ft. house pattern and I had no trouble getting out the corners. It has lots of energy coming off the pattern and continues through the pin deck

The Hyper Cell Fused is a great ball for fans of the CELL line. It is very strong off the pattern, yet I was able to play a couple boards further out than I would with the No Rules. The Dare Devil Danger is my “go to” ball when the Fused becomes too much for the breakdown. The Fused has earned a permanent spot in my bag.

The HYPER CELL SKID has the proven Nucleus Core from the popular CELL line, and the 73 MH pearl reactive cover stock. This is a great combination and packs a lot of punch on the back end.

I have used the HYPER CELL SKID on house patterns, and modified house patterns. With a minor surface change, I was able to use this ball on different patterns.

For our 39 ft. THS, I’ve had much success using the HYPER CELL SKID at 2000 grit, no polish. It gets through the heads very smooth, and has a strong turn to the pocket, continuing through the pins. As the pattern broke down, I was able to make a lateral move in with the HYPER CELL SKID and did not lose carry on the corner pins.

On our modified house/tournament shot, I brought the cover back to the 1500 grit box finish with no polish, and it was plenty of ball for the shot. I had no trouble getting the corners out. It had plenty of energy on the back end, even with the little extra surface on it.

This is a very versatile piece, that can be used on a variety of oil patterns with just some slight surface changes. If you were a fan of the CELL line years ago, and/or the newer HYPER CELL, you should consider this ball. It is a good ball to switch to when the HYPER CELL becomes too strong for the breakdown.

The HYSTERIA is a solid reactive ball, with a late roll 69 weight block, and a medium/high flare potential. Box finish is 1500 grit, polished. The color is green/purple.

I used the HYSTERIA on our 39 ft. house pattern, at box finish.

I found, for me, the HYSTERIA got through the heads and down lane very smooth, with a nice turn, and heavy roll to the pocket. The HYSTERIA is similar to the Nomad solid, which was one of my favorites in it’s time. This will be a perfect benchmark ball for me.

I brought the surface to 2000 with no polish, and was able to get this ball to read a little earlier, but surprisingly, it still got through the pins great. I was still able to carry the corners. I added a little polish. The polish, combined with the higher RG in this ball, makes it great for drier patterns as well.

This is a great piece for light/medium and even a bit heavier oil patterns. It is a great ball for all levels of bowlers. If you love the Nomad, and HyRoad, you will definitely be a fan of the HYSTERIA. No arsenal should be without this ball!

The IDOL has the symmetrical Ikon core weight block in the popular HP3 line, wrapped in the Micro Trax-S18 cover stock, which is a solid reactive core. The box finish is 2000 grit, but as always, can be polished or changed to suit a variety of lane conditions. It is an attractive Magenta color.

I have used the IDOL on a 40 ft. kegel house pattern, and The Orleans modified House pattern in Las Vegas.

I tried the IDOL at the 2000 grit box finish, and haven’t done any surface changes, as I’ve found this to be my go-to ball when i need to move inside and deal with the pattern trasitioning. I find it to be a little too strong on the fresh house pattern I’ve played on, but was a good starting ball on The Orleans modified house pattern. This ball is more aggressive than i expected it to be. I find it to have a similar motion shape to the Haywire, with a slightly earlier hook, and a stronger finish down lane. Being a lower rev player with ball speed around 14 mph, I could migrate in, left of center with the IDOL and still have it face up to the pocket with proper angle for me to carry.

If you’re looking for a replacement for the Haywire, and perhaps a bit stronger, this is a great ball to have in your arsenal. For a mid priced ball, you’re getting the look and hook of a high end ball. It’s a win, win for me!

The Idol Pearl has the symmetrical Ikon core weight block in the popular HP3 line, wrapped in the eTrax P 18 pearl cover stock.. The box finish is 1500 grit, polished, but as always, can be changed to suit a variety of lane conditions. It is an attractive Royal Blue color.

I have used the Idol Pearl on a 40 ft. kegel house pattern, and several modified house patterns in area tournaments.

I tried the Idol Pearl at the box finish and haven’t done any surface changes as of yet. I’ve found it to have a perfect mid range spot in my arsenal. I find it to be a good starting ball on our fresh house pattern before the carry down begins. I can go from the Idol Pearl, right to the Idol once the pattern starts to carry down. The Idol Solid will give me a little earlier start up once the Idol Pearl starts going too long and leaving corners. Being a lower rev player with 14 mph ball speed, I need the stronger motion on the back end to help with carry. I get this motion with the Idol Pearl. I can also go to it once the pattern starts to break down, as I then get the length i need to hold the pocket.

The Idol Pearl is part of my every day arsenal right now. For a mid range ball, the Idol Pearl will give you a lot of bang for your buck. Don’t leave home without it!

The IDOL SYNERGY has the proven, symmetrical Ikon core weight block in the popular HP3 line, wrapped in the eTrax cover stock, which is a Hybrid reactive core. The box finish is 1500 grit polished, but as always, can be altered to suit a variety of lane conditions. It is an attractive Magenta/Blue swirl color.

I have used the IDOL SYNERGY on a 40 ft. kegel house pattern, and a modified House tournament pattern.

I’ve thrown the IDOL SYNERGY at the 1500 grit, polished box finish, and haven’t made any surface changes. I’ve found this to be a very good starting ball on fresh back ends. Once the carry down comes into play, I can migrate outside a bit more and keep the ball playing well, or I pick up my Rubicon, for the earlier roll, and still good finish.
This is a high end ball at a medium price point. It has earned a spot in my bag every time I shoe up. It gets through the heads extremely clean and flips pretty hard off the break point. I highly recommend the SYNERGY, and add a star if you were a fan of the original IDOL ball.

The Magic Gem has the Micro Trax hybrid cover stock. A combo of the proven Micro Trax solid and Micro Trax pearl cover stocks. This is an Asymmetrical ball in the Roto Grip HP4 line of balls. The box finish is 2000 grit abralon . As always, the surface can be altered to suit a variety of lane conditions. It is an eye catching Citrine/Rhodonite/Jet color.

I have used the Magic Gem on a 41 ft. kegel house pattern, and a variety of patterns in different houses.

I’ve thrown the Magic Gem at the 2000 grit box finish, and have made some surface changes along the way. On heavier, or longer patterns, I’ve used 500/1500, and also 360/1000. I’ve found this to be a very good ball on fresh back ends. Once the transition comes into play, I can move in and still carry corners with some speed control. The Magic Gem is very strong through the pins, even for a lower rev player, like myself. This ball hits hard.
The Magic Gem is a fixture in my bag every time I shoe up. It gets through the heads extremely clean and makes a nice smooth turn down lane. I highly recommend the Magic Gem, and add a star if you’re a lower rev player like myself. The Exotic Gem is a good step down later in the set. It’ll get down the lane further and make a sharper turn. A good one two punch. I highly recommend this ball if you’re looking for something strong to add to your arsenal. You won’t regret buying it.

The MENACE has the asymmetrical Cage Core from the popular HP4 line, wrapped with the 74H Solid reactive cover stock. The box finish is 3000 grit, but as always, can be polished and/or changed to suit a variety of lane conditions.

I have used the MENACE on a 39 ft. light volume house pattern, and a 40 ft. medium volume house pattern.

For the 39 ft. light volume THS, I needed to bring the surface to 4000 grit and add a touch of polish. This allowed me to get the ball through the heads easily and have a strong backend finish. As the pattern broke down, I needed to move further in to pick up more head oil, and still save energy for the back end.

On the medium volume 40 ft. pattern, the MENACE performed better for me. It is very aggressive coming off the pattern and I had no trouble carrying the corners. As I had to migrate inside, I was still able to get the corners out. I compared the MENACE to the hybrid Sinister and found the MENACE to face up a bit sooner for me, helping me to get the corners out on the fresh.

If you’re looking for a ball for heavy oil, this ball would be a perfect addition to your arsenal. With a little surface changing, it can be used on most league shots as well.

The No Rules has the new Micro DNA Solid coverstock which gives 5% more traction than the proven Micro Bite cover stock from the Defiant line. This new coverstock is wrapped around the new Chaotic Core and comes out of the box at 2000 grit sanded, but can be polished. The flare potential on this ball is high.

I have used the No Rules on house patterns and a sport pattern.

For our 40 ft. house pattern, I was able to play further left and still have the ball continue through the pins, without leaving corners. This ball doesn’t stop as it goes through the pins. This ball opens up the lane for me, which is something I was lacking in my arsenal.

I also used the No Rules on a 44 ft. sport pattern. I was very happy to say it did not disappoint on either pattern. It hit very well for me on the longer sport pattern, and the house pattern alike.

If you’re looking for a strong, versatile, continuous hooking ball, you’ll not be disappointed with the No Rules. I’ve also experimented with surface changes, bringing it up to 3000, with light polish, and got a bit more of a skid flip motion. This ball is a great fit in my bag in the HP4 line. When it does become too much for the shot, the Wreck-it is the other half of my 1-2 punch.

The No Rules Pearl has the new Micro DNA Pearl Reactive coverstock which gives 5% more traction than the proven Micro Bite cover stock from the Defiant line. This new coverstock is wrapped around the new Chaotic Core and comes out of the box at 1500 grit polished, but can be sanded. The flare potential on this ball is high.

I have used the No Rules Pearl on house patterns in 3 different houses.

For our 40 ft. house pattern, I was able to stay in the playable area once the No Rules starting to be too much, as the lanes transitioned. This ball gets through the heads so clean and stores a ton of energy on the back end. It gives me a very strong angular motion, which helps with the corner pins.

I also used the No Rules Pearl on a 39 ft pattern. I’m happy to say it did not disappoint on either pattern. It hit very well for me on the both patterns.

If you’re looking for a strong, pearl ball to go to when your No Rules starts burning up, the No Rules Pearl is a must in your arsenal.
I’ve also experimented with surface changes, bringing it to 1000, with light polish. This tamed down the snappiness, which allowed me to start with it on the 39 ft. pattern. It gave me more of a roll arch motion. I highly recommend the No Rules Pearl, as either a starting ball on house pattern, or a go to ball from your No Rules.

The has the Reacta Gloss box finish, but as always, can be altered to suit a variety of lane conditions. This, like the previous balls in the Idol line, has a Symmetrical weight block, with a high flare potential. It is a gorgeous hot pink swirl color.

I have used the Optimum Idol Pearl on a 44 ft. kegel house pattern, and a variety of other house patterns.

I’ve thrown the Optimum Idol Pearl at the Reacta Gloss box finish, and haven’t made any surface changes. I’ve found this to be a very good transition game ball. Once the transition comes into play, I can pretty much stay where I am, play the same line, and keep the ball in play.

I tested the RUMBLE on 40 ft. THS, at 2000 grit abralon box finish.

I was surprised at how well this ball got through the heads. It’s very smooth down lane and makes a nice even, although strong, turn to the pocket. It has a very strong even motion overall. Very hard hitting, continuing right through the pin deck. This ball is a great complement to the WRECKER. I have been starting with the RUMBLE, and when the heads start to burn and I need more length, I can pull out the WRECKER. I find the RUMBLE and the WRECKER make a good One Two punch for me on our house pattern.

A great addition to any arsenal!

The SINISTER has a 76H Hybrid Reactive Coverstock, with an asymmetrical Cage Core Weight Block. Factory finish is 4000 grit Abralon. The SINISTER is in the HP4 hook potential line, has a 7” flare potential, and is yellow/pearl/navy in color.

I used the SINISTER on our 39 ft. house pattern at box finish (4000 grit), but I added some polish to get some extra length. The SINISTER, at box finish, hooked a bit too early for me on our house pattern. With the added polish, I got the extra length I was looking for and a great read coming off the pattern. SINISTER made a strong turn to the pocket and continued right on through the pins. This ball will be a hook monster with the proper surface changes.

I found that even with the polish, by the end of the 2nd game, the SINISTER was a little too much ball for the house pattern. I put the SINISTER away, and switched to the HYSTERIA, and I was able to move back out a couple boards and finish out the set strong.

I think this will be a great piece for heavier oil shots at it’s 4000 grit box finish. It is versatile enough, that with a little polish, it looks great on medium oil house shot patterns as well.

I tested the TOTALLY DEFIANT on a 40 ft. house pattern, at 1500 grit polished, which is the box finish. I also used it on US open senior womens pattern in Columbus, OH.

This ball gets through the heads very smooth, with a very strong angular motion when it comes off the pattern. I found, on the house pattern, I had to move in further, but did not lose carry. This ball does not quit! It gives me more length than the DEFIANT, and the DEFIANT EDGE, with a much more angular move to the pocket. I find I leave fewer corner pins due to the stronger entry angle.

On the senior US open womens pattern, the TOTALLY DEFIANT read the pattern nicely on the fresh, even with the pearl cover stock. This ball gives me a similar look to the old Cell Pearl, which was my favorite ball at the time!

The TOTALLY DEFIANT is a great addition to your arsenal. It is very versatile as it can be used on THS and sport patterns alike.

The UFO has the new Micro Trax S20 solid reactive coverstock wrapped around the E.T.(equalizer technology) Core and comes out of the box at 2000 grit, but can be polished. The flare potential on this ball is high. It is a nice Deep Purple/Baby Blue/Neon Green color.

I have used the UFO on house patterns and modified house patterns in a variety of houses in local tournaments and league.

I drilled my UFO with the pin down, for a different look than my Halo Vision. This ball hooks! It retains plenty of energy coming off the patterns I used it on. It gives me a very strong, but smooth motion with the pin down drilling. Nothing skid/flippy here.

This is a great starting ball on heavier oil patterns, or a great ball to go to when experiencing carry down. I also find it gives me help when i need to move in to a fresh part of the lane, when experiencing burn.

If you’re looking for a strong, starting ball on heavier patterns, or a carry down transitional ball, the UFO will not disappoint. I’ve also tried hitting it with a little polish and was able to use it on the lighter, league house pattern. Great versatility for such a strong ball!

The UNHINGED has the Late Roll 69 Core from the popular HP3 line, and the 60 M pearl reactive cover stock. The box finish is 1500 grit polished, but as always, can be changed to suit a variety of lane conditions.

I have used the UNHINGED on a 39 ft. light volume house pattern, and a 40 ft. medium volume house pattern.

For the 39 ft. THS, I consider the UNHINGED to be my new benchmark ball. At box finish, it gets through the heads with ease, and has a very strong backend motion, continuing through the pins. As the pattern broke down, I was able to make a move in and swing this ball, still with great recovery.

On the medium volume 40 ft. pattern, the UNHINGED is still plenty of ball, as it is very aggressive coming off the pattern. I had no trouble carrying the corners.

If you are looking for a longer and stronger motion than the HYSTERIA, the UNHINGED should fill that spot in your arsenal. #OWNIT

The UPROAR is a pearl version of the WRECKER.

I used the UPROAR on our 39 ft. THS, at box finish (1500 grit polished).

I found, for me, the UPROAR got through the heads and down lane very smooth, with a nice turn, and heavy roll to the pocket. The UPROAR is stronger than I originally thought it would be. I brought the surface up to 2000 grit, polished and found I got the little extra length i was looking for to make this ball a perfect complement to the WRECKER. I was able to start the set with my WRECKER. As the lanes transitioned, I was able to pick up the UPROAR, and stay in the same part of the lane.

This is a great piece for Light/Medium oil patterns. It is a great mid priced ball for all levels of bowlers. If you love the WRECKER, you will definitely be a fan of the UPROAR.

The Wild Streak has the symmetrical Sure Trax-S19 cover stock, surrounding the new Mutated Rotary, symmetrical weight block, which is a solid reactive core. The box finish is 3000 grit, but as always, can be polished or sanded to suit a variety of lane conditions. It is an eye catching Purple, Grey, and Black color.

The new Mutated Rotary weight block does not have outer wrap core material, which makes this the thickest coverstock Roto Grip has produced in many, many years.

I have used the Wild Streak on a 40 ft. house pattern, and a modified house pattern in local tournaments.

I tried the Wild Streak, initially at the 3000 grit box finish, and haven’t done any surface changes, as I’ve found this to be my new benchmark ball. Once it picked up some lane shine, it was just enough to tame down the reaction, with no surface changes. I find it to be a good starting ball on both patterns that I’ve used it on. This ball is a bit more aggressive than i expected it to be. I find it to have a similar motion shape to the MVP, with a slightly earlier hook, and a stronger finish down lane. Being a lower rev player with ball speed around 14-14.3 mph, I could migrate in, with the Wild Streak, and still have it knock out the corners.

If you’re looking for a replacement for the Idol, or a new benchmark ball, this is a great ball to have in your arsenal. For the price point, you’re getting a good bang for your buck. It’s a win, win for me!

I tested the Wrecker on our 40 ft. house pattern, at box finish (1500 grit polished).

This ball gets through the heads smoothly. It gets down lane, but is no weakling on the backend. This ball makes a strong skid/flip motion to the pocket coming off the pattern, and continues right on through the pins. This has become my favorite piece for the 40’ house pattern. I’m finding that even as the pattern dries up and I need to move in, the Wrecker still does not quit!

I also found it to work well on Kegel middle of the road pattern later in the day, when Defiant Soul became too much.

The Wreck-It has the new Solid Neutron Core inside the Psyched Hybrid Reactive Coverstock. This ball has a similar look to the ever popular, and proven Wrecker, with a little stronger motion coming off the pattern. It is in the HP2 hook line, but hooks more like an HP3 ball.

I have used the Wreck_It on 39 and 40 ft.house patterns and a 44 ft. sport pattern.

For our 40 ft. house pattern, the Wreck-It is plenty of ball to start with, or a great go to ball from the No Rules. For the price point, you cannot beat what you are getting with the Wreck-It. It comes off the pattern a lot stronger than i expected, and continues through the pins very strong.

I also used the Wreck-It on a 44 ft. sport pattern. When the lanes went into transition, the Wreck-It took over where the No Rules left off.

I’ve drilled a 2nd Wreck-It with the pin down. This ball fits in perfectly when my other Wreck-it is going a little too long.

If you’re looking for an aggressive ball without breaking your wallet, the Wreck-It will not disappoint. It’s a fixture in my arsenal. The No Rules, both Wreck-Its and the Hustle P/R/O are a complete arsenal for me.

The Code X has the asymmetrical RAD4 Core, wrapped in the R2S Solid reactive cover stock, with a 6” plus flare potential. The box finish is 3000 grit, but as always, can be polished and/or changed to suit different lane conditions. The Code X is blue/black/purple scented with orange zest.

I have used the Code X on a 39 ft. medium volume house pattern, and a 40 ft. medium volume house pattern.

For the 39 ft. THS, I needed to add some polish. This allowed me to get the ball through the heads easily and have a strong backend finish. As the pattern broke down, I moved further in to pick up more head oil, and The Code X saved lots of energy. The polish allowed me to use the Code X on our THS and not burn up before arrival.

On the medium volume 40 ft. pattern, the Code X gave me a better look at the box finish of 3000 grit. The Code X is a heavy rolling ball and comes off the pattern very strong. As I had to move with the pattern transition, I was still able to get the corners out. I compared the Code X to the Roto Grip Idol. I found the Idol to start up a bit earlier in the mid lane. The Code X was a good starting ball for me on fresh, with polish on the shorter pattern, and at box finish on the longer pattern.

If you’re looking for a ball for heavy oil, this ball would be a perfect addition to your arsenal. With a little surface changing, it can be used on league shots as well.

The HyRoad X has the symmetrical, proven, Inverted Fe2 weight block from theHyRoad series, wrapped in the R2X Solid reactive cover stock, similar to the CodeX. The box finish is 1500 grit, polished. It is a Solid Midnight Black color with a 5-6” flare potential. The 14 lb. has an RG of 2.58, and a differential of 0.037.

I have used the HyRoadX on a 40 ft., and a 39 ft.house pattern, each on a different lane surface. I’ve also used it at different houses in State tournaments. I used the HyRoadX at box finish and haven’t needed to try any surface changes to date. This ball gets through the heads and mid lane and makes a super strong turn coming off the pattern. It is very angular on the back ends and continues right through the pin deck.

This ball is more aggressive down lane than I expected it to be, and hits much harder than I expected. Being a lower rev player, I’ve been able to use the HyRoadX on a variety of conditions in different houses. For a first game ball, I have used speed control to help my carry, and just get firmer with it as the lanes break down. It’s a perfect mid range ball for any arsenal. For the price point, you are getting A LOT of ball. You will see very angular motions from the HyRoadX coming off the oil pattern. This is in my bag, right beside the Halo and Idol, wherever I’m headed.

The Phaze III has a light weight velocity core, symmetrical weight block, and is surrounded by an R3S Hybrid Reactive Coverstock. It has a low RG and high differential. The box finish is 1500 grit, polished, but, as always, can be sanded to suit a variety of lane conditions. It is a beautiful Obsidian/Jade/Orchid color, with a nice Grapevine scent.

I have used the Phase III on a 40 ft. house pattern, and a modified house pattern in local tournaments.

I tried the Phaze III, at the 1500 grit, polished box finish, and haven’t done any surface changes. This is a great “go-to” ball when the Phaze II starts to burn up. It evens out the transition with a smooth back end finish. The Phaze III gives me a very clean mid lane reaction. I find it to have a similar motion shape to the IQ Tour, with a stronger finish down lane. Being a lower rev player with ball speed around 14-14.5 mph, I could go right to the Phaze III when i started to see transition, and not have to move in, where I’d normally struggle to get the corners out.

If you’re looking for a great starting ball, or a ball for the transition on heavier oil, this is a great ball to have in your bag. This is a great followup to the Phaze II in the proven Master Line of Storm bowling balls. It’s a real beauty!

The Summit Ascent has the R2S Solid cover stock. This is a very smooth, even rolling ball. This is a Symmetrical ball in the Storm higher end line of balls. The box finish is 4000 grit abralon, which contributes to the even, smooth transition. As always, the surface can be altered to suit a variety of lane conditions and pattern lengths. It is Aqua/Smoke/Shadow in color.

I have used the Ascent on a 44 ft. kegel house pattern, and a variety of house patterns in different centers.

I’ve thrown the Ascent at the 4000 grit box finish, and have made some surface changes along the way. I’ve found this to be a very good ball on a variety of conditions. Once the transition comes into play, I can move in and still carry corners with some speed control. The Ascent is a hard hitting ball, even for a lower rev player, like myself.
The Ascent is always in my bag. It gets through the heads extremely clean and makes a nice smooth turn down lane. I highly recommend the Ascent, and add a star if you’re a lower rev player like myself. The Phaze II is a good step down later in the set. It’ll get down the lane a little further and make a nice turn to the pocket. A good one two punch. I highly recommend this ball if you’re looking for something stronger to add to your arsenal. Its a winner!
