The Ebonite/Columbia 300 people came to a local house today and let us try some balls. I bowled a 289 my 3rd game with this ball, which is my best game ever. I tried the other 6 balls they brought with them, but this one just worked the best for me. It did not matter how I hit the pocket it would carry almost every time.

All I can tell you is the ball was drilled straight up.

I use this ball mostly when the lanes dry up, it is my backup ball for league when my one of my primary balls (RotoGrip Wrecker, or Bunswick Loaded Revolver) is over reacting. For me it is a little straighter shot, and it is predictable.

What puzzles me is this ball does not seem to soak up oil, I have put it in an oven a few times @120°F and I never get anything from it. Hammer states they prefer to use a submersion technique that uses a high frequency to pull out the oil. These machines are about $1000+, and my local pro shop does not have one either yet.

I have used the ball on occasion from start to finish for league and I score very well with it. I also notice that there are about 4 or 5 other people on my league that have the Viral and have success with it.

Great Ball

One day last week I was waiting for my local ally pro and the distributor came in to deliver some balls. I told him the ball I was going to order for my son and he said to try the Wrecker. He said he had two and he thinks they were one of the best balls out there. I ordered my son's ball, and then did a little research on the Wrecker..

I had this gap between my Brunswick Loaded Revolver and my Hammer Viral that I wanted to fill...

Friday I talked again with the Pro and asked him to order me a Wrecker and get it drilled up for me.

Monday I took delivery of both my ball and my son's ball. I had league that night and did not have a chance to throw it before league so I left it in my car.

About half way through the first game I was realizing that my gap had returned and I mentioned the new ball in my trunk to a team mate. He said, what the heck it cannot hurt, So between games I went out and grabbed my new unused Wrecker..

The start of the second game I looked at my team and said "wish me luck" then the very first ball I threw was a Strike! with my new Wrecker... The second ball I thought I pulled so I was left with a spare... At the end of the game on the one lane I only had strikes with the new Wrecker. I quickly realized that the Right Lane was much more dry. So the following game I used one of my old balls on Lane 12, but the Wrecker on lane 11. I had 10 strikes on the one lane by the end of the night. Every ball with the exception of 2 were strikes on lane 11.

I am a believer

I might report back in the following days or weeks with more updates as I exercise my new muscle. If out of the box is any indication of what is to come, I am quite excited.

Ave - 183-187

I really like this ball! After taking 20 years off of bowling, getting back into the game around 2014. This is my second Phase III, the first one is drilled LH and after having great success with it I decided to get one drilled for my Right hand. I bowled my first 300 on 6-20-22. This ball is incredibly forgiving and it seems to find a way into the pocket. Good back end, Hits the pins like a ton of bricks.
