Bowler Specs

Description - The Avalanche Pearl is back with a new color (Black/Green) and coverstock that is sure to turn some heads. This year's version features PowerKoil 18 along with the ultra reliable light bulb that produces a stronger, consistent ball reaction.

Drilling - This ball is drilled 4 x 5 with no weight hole. This ball will give the look of a basic "over the label" drill.

Reaction - The reaction is definitely stronger that the previous avalanche pearl. I am sure that is due to the change in coverstock. This ball picks up earlier and is more aggressive off the spot. It hits the pins with force and power. This ball can be used first out of the bag without fear and even can handle a tad more oil also.

Overall - The changes with this ball have put it in a class by itself (among mid-priced balls). If you want big bang for little bucks, chose the new Avalanche pearl Black/Green.

- 15 lbs
- Drilled 4 x 4 stacked with small weight hole on PAP
- Ball is high gloss finish
- PAP is 6 over and 1/2 up

I cannot begin to tell you how much I love this ball...it has been my "go to" ball ever since I got it...This ball's control and hitting power is unmatched...the light bulb core is proven and XD cover pushes it over the top...I mean even with the corners burnt, you will glide thru with ease to the break point and then hard arc to the pocket...Some of my recent series had 2 or more open frames and I still posted 220 or better avg...This ball has a permanent space in my bag for sure....Definitely a winner....

Thanks to Chuck Gardner and all of the good folks at Brunswick...

Ball Name - C System 4.5

Bowler Specs

Tweener
15 MPH
Out of the Box Surface
Axis 5 3/4 over, 3/16 up

Description - The C System 4.5 combines a symmetrical weight block with Chemical Friction Technology to produces a quick response and improved back end reaction.

Drilling - Pin 5 inches and below the fingers with weight hole on VAL.

Reaction - This ball is just as clean thru the front as the 2.5 but definitely quicker off the spot. FOR ME, if I played the gutter the ball stood up and rolled or if I played the whole lane, the ball consistently made it back to the pocket with authority. If you run into a condition where the 2.5 is going by the break and 3.5 is checking up, this is the ball to pick up for sure.

Overall - The C System 4.5 will be a welcome addition to your C System Collection.

Bowler Specs

Description - The Diamondback replaces and upgrades the Copperhead. By adding Activator coverstock along with the proven Rocket core, this combination will provide a stronger, earlier rolling addition to this line.

Drilling - I drilled this ball 4 x 2 with a small weight hole on the axis.

Reaction - FOR ME, this is the earliest rolling ball that I have in my bag. This ball rolls earlier than my Siege and C System 3.5. Even when smoothed out, I just cant keep it on the lane. I will be using this ball only while playing on longer patterns or on heavy carrydown.

Overall - If you want a very early rolling ball, you would be wise to take a long look at the Diamondback. I will drill another one weaker with the pin over the fingers to take advantage of the stronger coverstock in the near future.

Drilling - This ball is drilled 4 x 5 with not weight hold. This drilling will give the look of a basic "over the label" drilling.

Reaction - The ball is exactly what I expected. Clean thru the fronts, easy pick up in the midlane, and a smooth continuous arc on the backend. This ball's reaction helps me keep control of the pocket and does not over react at any time.

Overall - I like this ball and will drill another with a stronger drill and different coverstock.

Drilling - I drilled this ball using the dual angle layout technique 60 x 5 x 45 with a small weight hole on the axis.

Reaction - This ball was very easy to control. Since I polished the cover, it was simply a breeze. Recovery was never an issue as this ball came off the spot quickly and consistently every time. The hits kept the pins low with very little deflection.

Overall - The Evil Siege will be a very controllable and consistently reacting ball time after time. Another winner from Brunswick.

Brunswick Fanatic Review.

The Brunswick Fanatic uses the I-Block Symmetrical core with the Relativity V cover, which provides outstanding length with angular ball motion.

My Specs...17mph off the hand, PAP 4 13/16 over 1/2 up...Rev Rate 350...Tilt 11 degrees

For this ball, I chose the Rico Drill, which I had used previously in the Melee Jab. This layout places the pin near the center of the grip, CG at 45 degrees relative to the pin, with a weight hole 6 3/4in from the pin. I found good success with it in that ball and with the Fanatic being similar I thought it was a good choice.

The first week I used it with the OOB surface, I found that the ball picked up a little quick in the midlane and my reaction was not the best. I still managed to avg 205 first time out which is below my norm. I decided to change the surface to 4000 and add factory finish polish. 2nd week....what a difference. I played the lanes tight in the fronts and with the change in surface the look I got was fantastic. The length was unreal and off the spot the ball just carried the world. Almost like I could not miss. July 7th bowled 231, 279, 288 for a 798 series. At one point, had 17 strikes in row. I cannot say enough good things about this ball. Thank you to Brunswick for allowing me to be a part of the family.

I drilled this ball 45 x 4 1/4 x 35 with no weight hole.

I have drilled all of the Brunswick releases over the past 2 yrs, EXCEPT THIS ONE. All I can say is I do not know why it took my this long to drill this ball. IT IS AMAZING!!!!!. Easy length is an understatement and the move on the back is smooth and strong and the carry is just ridiculous. This ball paid for itself the first night I used it and has a permanent space in my bag, whether or not I used it. This is the perfect ball to complete your arsenal hands down.

The newest addition to the Brunswick line is the MasterMind Brainiac. This ball pairs a low RG core with Relativity Flip reactive coverstock. This combination produces extra length through the heads with exceptional bite on the backend to achieve maximum flip and power thru the pins

For this drilling, I used 70 x 3 3/8 x 30 with no weight hole. The PSA ended up inside the thumb which was an added bonus. Having listened to conference call, the new coverstock has easy length like the Vintage LT48 with a quicker and much stronger move off the spot. You may want to play a little straighter thru the front and take advantage of the stored energy downlane. You could drill one stronger to use on the fresh and it would be spectacular.

This ball is a surefire winner from the Brunswick family. Thank you for the chance to represent the brand.

The Brunswick MasterMind Intellect features the same weight block as the previous releases along with the new Honor Roll A+ solid reactive cover.

45 x 4 1/2 x 70...pin under ring finger with low WH on VAL line

Honestly speaking, when I first threw this release, I did not like it with the OOB finish. I am a 15 MPH bowler and that just did not work for me. After about a month of subpar performances, I decided to take the cover all the way up to 4000 grit and add slip agent polish---similar to my MasterMind Genius that I bowled 300 with....WHAT A DIFFERENCE....In the next 2 weeks I bowled 3 700 series, the highest being 771---WITH 3 OPEN FRAMES...

This ball is easily my go to ball when I can't get any pop on the back end or just want to see a quicker movement off the spot without loss of control. Once again another winner from Brunswick.

The Brunswick MasterMind Strategy uses a modified MasterMind Asymmetrical core with the Relativity Solid coverstock. The intended ball motion will be similar to the OG MasterMind. The cover is 500/200 Siaair pad.

My specs...17mph off the hand...PAP 4 13/16 over, 1/2 up...Rev Rate 350...Tilt 11 Degrees.

For this ball, I decided to use the same drilling used previously in the MasterMind series. 45 x 5 1/2 x 30....WH on PAP if needed. The desired ball reaction I wanted was good length with strong back end movement (Heard that before LOL)...with the OOB surface, I definitely need to stand further left and use more of the head oil to get the length I desired. Playing between 3rd and 4th arrow, I felt very comfortable sending the ball out to 5 at the break point and it would always make it back to the pocket. The solid cover bled of energy during the transition and was not jumpy off the spot, which is typical. For me, I am shocked that I was able to use the OOB surface due to my medium speed. First series out, managed to shoot 705 with a couple opens.

Overall, I am pleased with the reaction and this is another winner from Brunswick.

The Melee Hook combines a low RG symetrical core with the exciting Relativity Max reactive cover finished with 500/2000 Saair MicroPad.

To achieve the desired ball motion, I drilled this ball 35 x 4 1/4 x 30 with a small weight hole on the PAP. This drilling produces easy length with a heavy forward roll at the break point based on my unique PAP and axis tilt.

Having participated in the initial conference call, it was said that this ball was a stronger version of the very popular and successful LT-48 and that it is. This Melee gets into a deep roll and hits the pins with authority and strength, which is just what I was looking for. This ball will surely be a strong addition to your arsenal. Thank you for considering Brunswick

I wasn't sure about this ball because of the way I drilled it. I tend to have more of my equipment pin up, but I went pin down and I have to say I am truly impressed with this reaction. I throw this ball on more of a burned up pattern and I can get way left, and project it out, and it recovers nicely. It is a very smooth, controlled ball motion.....exactly what I was looking for in this ball for both leagues and tournaments. This ball is a great compliment to the Melee Cross.

The new Brunswick Nirvana features a Ultra Low RG core with ECS (Enhanced Composite Segmentation) coverstock which
allows this ball to produce more friction and a wider sweet spot to eliminates the need for a lot of adjustments.

To take advantage of the aggressive RG/core combination, I drilled my ball 85 x 2 1/4 x 30 with no weight hole. This ball is clean thru the front, revs strong in the midlane and moves from the spot with a quick and aggressive motion. This ball covers a lot of area really quick and is very forgiving. For me, this ball does not deflect much and carries even the lightest of hits. This ball would be a welcome addition to your arsenal if you are looking for strong movement on your oily house condition or sport shot.

Since this ball has the same core as the Max Zone and coverstock like the Smash Zone, I decided to drill this one just like my Max Zone and hoping I would get the same type of reaction. I was simply amazed at the way that this ball got down the lane and recover to a nice strong heavy roll. This ball consistently not just hit the pocket, but pushed the pins thru the pin deck like it was mad at the world. I am looking forward to getting another one to drill differently. I have only used this ball for a couple of pot games so far. This ball was drilled 5 x 4 with no weight hole. The ball reaction was predictable thru the heads and the backend move was strong off the breakpoint and continuous thru the pins. Though both balls use the Rocket Core, I personally like this ball over the Copperhead. I am certain the reason why is the Activator coverstock....I have another that I am going to drill up but I have no idea how yet...So far, another winner from Brunswick.

Ball drilling - Pin 6\" from axis and above fingers, mass bias at 45 degrees
small weight hole on axis

With this ball, I wanted to have a ball that I would be able to play the middle of the lane aggressively without fear of my ball not recovering. Since the house I play in is a \"medium\" house, I first changed the surface to 4000 then applied polish...(man that ball is pretty)...this ball is clean thru the front and just richochets from the break point and just tomahawks the pins. It is just ridiculous how hard this ball hits...Its like thunder claps in the sky...I am definately going to order another one of these and drill differently for the sport and tournament conditions. The Brunswick Soul series replaces the Ringers in the Affordable line...

I drilled my Soul solid 55 x 3 3/4 x 30....wh on PAP

For me, once I adjust the service, this ball will see lots of action. My first impression of the Soul Solid is clean thru the front with a quick change in direction and good hitting power at the pins. This ball will carry is really good and in my opinion better than any lower end ball on the market. My THS has a tendency to change quick so with a surface change and some polish, I look to score very well, just like I did with the Ringer series.

I have had this ball for about a month since I attended a recent Brunswick seminar held in PA...It is drilled 5 1/2 from PAP..MB 45 degrees...no weight hole...pin above ring finger...I must be honest...I have not really used it due to my using my Ultra Zone (another received via seminar)

My Ultra started to check up early so I switched to the Twisted the last ball in practice and bam....I was off to the races....This ball was just a breeze to use...All night I only moved two boards...I left one weak ten pin in the 2nd game...At one point, I had 15 strikes in a row...The results are

300---245---289---834

This is my highest set ever and the 2nd highest ever bowled in the bowling center

Thanks to Dennis Reale for the opportunity to bowl with the Brunswick Twisted Fury and the Ultra Zone...See Ya Soon...Go Brunswick

Layout.....35 x 4 4/1 x 30....wh on PAP
Ball speed.....17

I was so excited when this release came out as I bowled my first 300 with the original.

That is exactly what I got but with it has a stronger back end on the fresh that I thought. The Gold Rhino Pro gets through the fronts super clean and with a quick move off the spot. THIS BALL DOES NOT LEAVE 10 PINS.....
This ball will not disappoint. The core and cover stock combination is wonderful for my speed and rev rate.
I recommend everyone to add this ball to their arsenal.

Axis 5 3/4 over, 3/16 Up

Description: The Propel X features an enhanced pore structure to provide Xtra consistency from shot to shot and Xtra versatility on a wider variety of lane conditions. The MACE core is a medium RG core that produces a breakpoint further down lane and a high RG differential to increase backend and high RG asymmetric differential to quicken the response time to friction.

Drilling - 60 x 5 x 45, no weight hole

Reaction - This ball is very clean thru the fronts just like the 4.5 and gives and aggressive strong arc with continuation from the breakpoint. FOR ME, the ball sometimes went a little too far and was fighting to get back to the pocket. When I settled down and let the ball do the work, it was magic. All night, I never left a 10 pin. This ball is control personified.

Overall - If you are looking for very nice and controllable ball to add to your arsenal, take a good look at the Wicked Seige.

I was excited when I heard about this ball due to the Torsion Core that was used in the Twisted Series and has given me good results ..With the new coverstock though, it is very forgiving not as aggressive. For me, it is not one of those that you can just swing and watch it come back. If you do swing, have you ten pin ball ready because you will need it. What that means is control is your friend and when properly applied, it will have bowlers running for exits. For me, jury is still out on this one as I have only bowled about 2 games with it... But at this point, things look good.

I was just floored at how the ball glided thru the fronts and transistioned quickly and roll hard to the pocket. Every ball just consistently glided and rolled shot after shot. It did not overhook or make me pay if the shot went a little wide of target. The ball would just pick up the roll and the result would be "push back" strike. Thank you Brunswick.

This ball is awesome. The Vandal uses an asymmetrical core with a composite pearl cover finished with a 500 Saair MicroPad and Royal Compound.

This ball was drilled 55 x 3 3/4 x 30 with no weight hole. My goal was to produce a sharper reaction with a more angular break point to be used on you typical house patterns.

The reaction I got from this ball was clean thru the fronts, with an aggressive but controllable transition off the spot down lane. THIS BALL HITS LIKE A TRUCK!!! If I wanted to play straighter, all I had to do is change the cover, which was really easy and the reaction I got was amazing. This ball is a definite winner and would be another great addition to an already strong arsenal.

Having bowled with the entire Brunswick line over the past few years, the Primo is my first ball under the Radical brand.

I drilled this one 45 x 4 1/2 x 35 with no weight hole. I continue to be impressed with the length, versatility and hitting power of this ball. For me, this ball rolled a little early in the midlane, burning off some energy and created forward roll into the pins. It is the ideal ball for medium-oily lanes and is a great addition to your already strong Brunswick arsenal.
