this Gold Rhino Pro is rolling well everywhere I'm hitting. Not having to move a lot to keep up with the transition which is a great thing. Square up and roll it!

The All Out Show Off reminds me alot of the Storm Freakin Frantic (one of my favorite balls). To me, this ball is the perfect mid range league ball for someone who is ready to step up to the challenge of graduating from entry level balls or maybe someone who is in their first couple years of league or THS tourneys. On a house condition, this ball seems to recover from anywhere on the lane within reason being very forgiving, unfortunately not the grey board :( This ball doesn't go too long nor hook immediately, it kinda goes with the flow of the pattern, with great hitting power.

The Dare Devil Danger is a great complimentary ball to the Hyper Cell Fused for me. It is the perfect ball for medium oil that has not only the grabbing power it needs to pick up in its roll but the holding power to not over react, holding the pocket. This ball is most definitely ideal for someone who is has "graduated" from entry level equipment and looking for their next challenge of control. Upon using this with box surface, it has that bench mark quality to it that rolls smooth but strong and would be great to use on any variety of fresh conditions. When polishing the DDD, it stored a sufficient amount of energy to get down the lane before its continuation through the pins.

This ball is something you want to have in your bag when you are looking for CONTROL. The Hustle HYB is perfect if you are looking for a ball that doesn't over or under react. I would recommend for either a fresh or scorched condition. This ball isn't gonna make that sharp kick off of the spot like some of the other balls that store their energy, but it will be the perfect "club in your bag" when you find everyone else not being able to keep the pocket and you are. By no means is this ball a dud though. It will come back from parts of the lane that urethane and plastic will not. Great tool to have in your bag for when you need it!

This has been my main bench mark ball as of late because i shot 300 with it on my second set throwing it. (normally hard to pry something outta one's hand once it starts immediately producing big scores lol) My favorite part of the Hyper Cell Fused is the continuation. The very second this ball hits the back end, every single bit of stored energy it generated completely lets loose, hitting the pocket with the perfect angle for great pin carry. I have seen a variety of style bowlers throwing the Fused and its just a perfect match for anyone to be honest. This is, in my opinion, Roto Grip's best Reactive Hybrid they have ever come out with. I am reaching around 60 games on mine and it hasn't really lost its pop as of yet. I keep my surface fresh at 4000 abralon every 9-12 games, which i have found to be my go to on this one.

I have my Idol drilled pin up and it gives me so much versatility on several conditions I play on. The shape it gives me changes depending on the part of the lane I am playing and the surface i am using. Box surface lets me get right on the fresh and have a strong controllable motion without any jerk on the back. As the lanes start carrying down, this surface does very well combatting the push. As i polished it, i could play the same part of the lane as it stored more energy to give it more jerk on the back end while keeping its hitting power. The polished surface was also a pretty good choice for after that first game transition when the carry down breaks down a little more. This will be one of my bench mark balls that I start with in league and house condition type tourneys.

This ball compared to the original Roto Grip Idol gets down the lane just a bit further and stores a bit more energy giving it great continuation. For me, on house conditions, I prefer to start out with the Idol Pearl to get the cleanest reaction down lane and switch to my original Idol with a little bit of surface to bite through the carry down as soon as I see the transition. After the carry down is broken down a bit more, I can switch right back to my Pearl and take advantage of the continuation and great carry. For the most part i would recommend this one on medium-dry conditions to start, while the original Idol would be best for a larger quantity of oil with its box surface.

This ball is perfect for beginners, low speed/low rev players, and high rev, high speed players. Great for fresh or dry lane conditions, short oil/low volume patterns. This ball would be similar to a cross between an Idol Pearl/Hustle Ink or an Idol Pearl/Tropical Storm combo if I were to describe the motion. Comes into play when you need control but continuation on the back end. Perfect gap filler for your tourney bag or perfect first ball for someone who is just learning to throw a hook. Not a huge huge as most of this balls great attributes happen on the back end of the lane!

The Nuclear Cell for me compares similar to the Hyper Cell Fused with a couple small differences. The Nuclear goes a bit longer and cleaner with the same back end reaction as the Fused. This being a pearl assym, it would seem like a cross between the Hyper Cell Fused and a Halo Pearl.  I'd venture to say that this ball would be best on fresh house shot playing more of the track area or on a drier transitioned condition where there is more friction. It definitely would have its place in your tourney bag in between a Halo Vision and a Halo Pearl.
( Hyper Cell Fused> Halo Vision > Nuclear Cell > Halo Pearl )

This ball is SUPER STRONG! Probably the strongest ball I have ever thrown. Before this one, my Crux Prime was the top of the line as far as overall strength and hook go. The shape this ball gives is similar to the Gravity Evolve but with more continuation. With the scoop taken out of the weight block on the UFO, it allows so much more energy to be stored as it is revving up, that when it goes left (or right for leftys), it does and hard! The box cover will need a handful of shots thrown on it (just like most grittier balls) before you can see it's full potential in my opinion. Once a small amount of lane oil soaked in, the consistency and control become more evident. This ball is definitely something special! HOOK IN A BOX times a million! :)

The Wild Streak for me is one of those balls that is best on a fresh or a dry house shot or a short length/low volume tourney shot. Out of the box surface is sufficient for lane play in either of these instances. If I were to compare it to something, it would be a Storm All Road or maybe a Hustle type of reaction. Not jerky or a monster hook, but a more smooth, controllable motions for either high rev players, or slow speed players to get the ball further down the lane before it makes its move. The hitting power is strong for both. A little polish on this one and you will store a little more energy for the back end reaction. A good gap filler in ones tourney bag.

This ball is perfect for the upcoming entry level player that wants to dab a little into something more than just throwing it straight or a higher rev player who needs something more tame on a drier condition. This is Roto Grip's best ball at this price point (and frankly best ball of all the brands at this price point) The symmetric core along with 3k box coverstock, gives the ultimate smooth but strong reaction. While the original Winner gives you a little more length and skid snap reaction, the Winner Solid has the teeth to grab the lane a little sooner but maintain a continuously smooth roll through the pins. I have a rico layout on mine which allows me, the way i throw the ball, to get it down the lane whether im playing in or out, and get nothing but continuation on the back.

This ball is a great one for a fresh or completely transitioned/dry house condition, or a tourney pattern of short length and volume. The Storm All Road is overly smooth getting to the back of the lane but holds it motion as it goes left but continues through the pins. This ball would be a great one for people with lower ball speeds who may have problems getting the ball down the lane before it makes its move. I would also recommend it for players with obscenely high rev rates as it will allow them to have more control of the lane without the jerky, off the spot motion that higher end balls tend to do. Definitely a gap filler in one's arsenal!

The Storm Axiom is like a Phaze II on steroids! This ball picks up much sooner and sharper than any other ball i've seen on the market to date. The unique quality I like about this ball is from the point of grab until is rolls off of the back of the pin deck, it is all 100% continuation! This ball is ideal for medium to heavy oil. Anything less than medium would not be a good fit for this piece because it is too strong. The Axiom allows you to show up on league night and move in with quite a bit of confidence because you know this ball is gonna clear some area and making it back. This ball is definitely a game changer for Storm!

This ball is something that kinda gives you the teeth to chew into a pattern more than the Code Black or Code Red. Starting with it, you can square up pretty far right on a fresh pattern and gradually break it down without losing its continuous motion. If you end up starting in, it really takes away any leakage to the right if you miss a few boards. On tougher patterns, this ball is extremely controllable and I have used it when its time to move in and need more hold and less jumpiness. This ball hasn't worn down at all from when I first got it and I have a ton of games on it.

The Drive, being a "prequel" of the Storm Timeless is a great ball for lower speed or higher rev rate players. Ideally to get the full effect of this ball I would pin it down to get a strong, early reaction from its 3000 boxed surface on a variety of patterns that are medium-heavy oil. With the nano additive, this ball blends patterns very well letting you hold the pocket throughout transition. During transition, this is a very speed sensitive ball so you must maintain squaring up at all times and not letting up on the amount of hand you put in the ball. If you are starting with this ball and the lanes dry out to the point it is burning up too much energy, it is ideal to switch to the Timeless and you more than likely wont skip a beat.

Out of the box, like other SPEC cover stocks I've had, I added a little polish and this ball just came to life. (generally the places I bowl don't usually need surface) On a house pattern, this ASSYM is best for me when I'm playing the track area more direct and up the lane. As the transition occurs and I migrate left, this ball blends everything and keeps up with the breakdown of the lanes very well for smaller moves as I go. I haven't really found myself in a situation where this one ever hooks too much. It's a great combination of control and continuation. If I were to give an example of the reaction of the Gravity Evolve, it would be a combination of a RotoGrip Hyper Cell Fused, crossed with a Storm Phaze 2.

This ball, for me, is very unique to blending patterns during and after transition. When I start with my SonIQ and the pattern starts to go, leaving everything hooking a tad too much, (instead of fighting and trying to over power the condition) this ball comes into play by blending the reaction so there is no over or under reaction among the ball switch. Perfect for transition in league and tourneys before making that switch to the weaker piece that you have in your bag. This ball also seems to get better and better as it gets a little lane oil in it. Definitely a great piece to anyone's arsenal!

The Hyroad X, for me, fits right in between my Roto Grip Hustle Ink and my Storm IQ Tour. This is definitely one of those balls that should be in your bag if you are a tournament player. Between this and the other 2 balls mentioned, you literally have all grounds covered on nearly every condition. My favorite thing about this ball is the continuation. It makes that sharp move once it hits the dry and doesn't stop going. Pin up, Pin down, you cannot go wrong. On house condition, you can literally pick which part of the lane you wanna play and its a go. The ball carry with this thing is so phenomenal!

This ball is pretty smooth and controllable. It does not over react so much. I would recommend it for medium to dry conditions of all variety. Compared to the original Storm Intense, its pretty similar with stronger continuation overall. With a stronger, earlier layout and 1000 grit abralon, this ball reacts and recovers pretty well on a tighter condition and can give you a unique look that you probably wont see in your playing environment from others using different equipment.

This ball has been great for me on a variety of conditions. Definitely a must have in your bag for both tourneys and league. Fits in the genre of the Hustle Ink and IQ Tour type for my game with this one being the most tame. Fresh house shot allows me to play right and stay right with minimal big moves. In tourney play I can pull this out when they start drying up and gradually move left, not giving up the pocket with a tame back end motion while everyone else without one is battling the friction. A very special ball indeed!

The Omega Crux is one of the strongest balls I've thrown to date. I drilled mine with a traditional pin up layout for league and it allows the ball to get through the fronts pretty clean and when it picks up in motion, it rolls pretty heavy and strong to the pocket. The hitting power on this thing stands out among other balls. When it hits the pins, its one of the few I've thrown that it just seems like an explosion on most of my pocket hits. STRONG is just an understatement with the Omega. I would project that putting a stronger, and maybe earlier layout on it would send this piece to the front of your arsenal for heavy oil for league or tournament play. If you're looking for an even sharper reaction on the back end, throw a smudge of polish on it!

This ball is going to be BY FAR the best ball of the year unless Storm pulls something else out of their box of tricks! Where do I start? Probably one of the best bench mark balls I have ever thrown. The Phaze 2 was my favorite ball before this one came out and that one was REALLY hard to top. This hybrid version of the Phaze is just perfect for a variety of conditions and will have you covered no matter what, I think whether they are tight or dry. This ball is a bit cleaner than the Phaze 2 to get to your spot down lane and has that kick left we all look for that crushes the pins. This one would be good for fresh or transitioned/dry lanes while throwing the Phaze 2 in between. Layouts for the Phaze III, sky is the limit. I really think one could come to league or a tourney with a few different variations of this ball and just be covered in all aspects of lane play. VERY GREAT BALL!

The Storm Physix has been a my go to ball since it came out! I have drilled 2 of them now with different layouts that have given me pretty great versatility playing in and out on the lane. My first was pin over the center of the bridge, cg kicked a little and MB to the right of my thumb. This layout let me comfortably play anywhere within 12 while having enough power to make the corner and drive through the pins with great carry. My second one i drilled with the pin to the right of the ring finger (right handed), MB underneath my thumb while having the CG split the difference in between both. This layout in which i had never tried before has just been phenomenal. I can get right and get a smidgen of extra length and once it hits the back end, i have a motion i have never had with any other ball ever. The angle that is created has been a game changer for my pin carry. (I cannot wait to try it on a Hyper Cell Fused!) This ball has been pretty special in my arsenal covering most grounds between the 2 balls and layouts. It is definitely one of those "fine wine" types of balls that gets better the more you used it. My best recommendation would be to take it back to 3000 abralon when taking it to your shop for a resurface. GREAT BALL!

The Pitch Purple is just a step up from the Pitch Black in the urethane options available from Storm. The main difference I've noticed is that the Pitch Purple picks up a bit sooner than the Pitch Black, has the same motion in the middle of the lane, but drives harder on the back end. The Purple gives you the same control as the Black but more of a predictable motion on the back end as it continues through the pins. These balls are perfect for a variety of PBA and Sport patterns that have either low volume or short length in oil application or older houses with wood that is very high friction. A very specific tool for your arsenal!

This ball is just flat out great! The power and hooking potential it has oversees nearly anything on the market right now. If the lanes are extremely tight and you have one of these in your bag, you have an extreme advantage over anyone in your field. I have mine drilled pin under center with the cg kicked and it is just perfect for fresh THS condition or med-tight tourney conditions. When my second one comes in I will be pinning it up so i can get that smidgen of extra length on it so I can throw it longer before its too much as the lanes break down. I currently have about 40 games on mine and it has yet to lose any of its hook or show any signs of slowing down. This is up in my top 3 favorite balls of all time already and it hasn't been available for very long at all. I will definitely be picking up a few of these to put away for a rainy day!
