About the Bowler
League Average:
175
Ball Speed:
Medium
Style:
Stroker
Bowling Hand:
Right Handed
Experience:
Advanced (I have bowled in a league)
I tried my Storm Invasion out today. It is my first reactive resin ball that I have owned. I was using an old technology Columbia 300 which really had little hook. I have a stroker style and my average has always been around the low 170's. I used to bowl primarily from around the 35-36th board (way right) and targeted the 1st arrow; pretty much Earl Anthony style. I would leave an inordinate amount of splits. I now am able to move to 3 boards right of the middle dot and release the ball on the 2nd arrow. I opted to lighten the ball from 16# to 15# and use finger inserts as I never tried them before. I am glad I did. I get a bit more rotation on the ball, and boy does it carry! About 5-10 feet from the head pin the ball grabs the lanes and tears into the pocket. I bowled a 4 game average of 196 today: 180, 208, 200 and 208 respectively. I am very impressed. I had it drilled for maximum hook and it does just that. I have relegated my Columbia 300 to spare ball status. If you are a stroker, this may be the ball for you.

Sorry. Typo on the 4 game scores. I bowled 180, 208, 200 and 197. I am sure after experimenting with my lane position and release point I will be able to improve on that.
