So I'm not a great bowler. This is only my third year in a league and first year actually hooking a ball the right way. I got this ball over summer so I could finally get rubber finger tips, and a set up made for real hooking.
But I love this ball - and I think it's done everything I need and then some. Mine is drilled in a pin up layout. And for the way I bowl, the hook is sufficient that I can hit the pocket if my form is set up right. The hook for me is a a nice gradual one that I can easily predict. It's not a ball to hook sharply, at least the way I bowl with it.
The cover on this is nice and keeps a grip on the lane in the way I need. When the oil breaks down I can still generally get it where I need to go. This is currently the only ball I bowl with - but it does everything I need! (Although let's be real, now I'm hooked and will get another ball at some point.)
