Zen U – Control, control, control! This ball is very smooth off spot and very controllable. When the lanes are a bit too jumpy for reactive, I can pull this out and control that down lane motion. Great piece to have in the bag for tournament season!

The Exotic Gem is the newest high end pearl asym ball from Roto Grip. While the cover is exceptionally clean, this ball is on the slower side when it comes to friction response. This provides a really nice balance of length and control. This ball was very useable on the fresh with a slightly slower speed, and as the lanes opened up it was able to come back from larger angles and still continue through the pins.

Idol Cosmos – I have not previously been a fan of the Idol balls, but this one is awesome! It’s nice and clean through the front of the lane, but it doesn’t over hook on the back part of the lane. I have used it as my benchmark ball since I drilled it, and I have used it on many different conditions. It is very versatile, which is a big thing I look for in a new ball. I recommend getting one for your bag for sure!

I love the colors of this ball! They really catch your eye going down the lane. Compared to my phase 5, this ball hooks just a little bit less and gets down the lane just a bit further before it hooks. It’s a great addition to my arsenal as a benchmark type of ball.

Storm Night Road –
I have been a long time lover of the Hyroad and Hyroad Pearl. So, when the Night Road came out, I had to try it right away! I was NOT disappointed. I felt it rolled a bit too early for me at box finish, so I put a splash of polish on it. Even with the polish, it does not miss the mid lane at all. It shapes very well and goes through the pins great. It’s very versatile, and it can be used on many different patterns. Get one today, and you won’t be disappointed!

Not much to say except this ball is exactly what I was looking for! This ball gets through the front of the lane with ease, but it doesn’t overreact on the back end. I drilled mine pin down, and I’m thinking about drilling another one pin up. I won a tournament with this ball shortly after drilling it up. I have bowled some of my best games in league this year with it as well. It definitely deserves a spot in the bag.
