Review:
900 Global really set out a beautiful set of pearl balls. We saw the zen, then burner pearl, then wolverine to fill that gap. Now we have the Altered Reality sitting atop all of those. This ball is a monster pearl, yet still holds the predictability and versatility like we see in the popular original Zen. This ball really holds a lot of energy and continuation through the pins. This core simplistic yet beefy and we love it for that reason. We have seen a lot of success with some cover changes on this ball. 2000-3000 grit pads really change the design and shape for some of our tournament players and compliments their solid original Reality well. We look forward to drilling several of these bowling balls.

Review:
This line definitely fills a void in our 900 Global line of balls similar to what the hustle line does for Roto Grip. This bowling ball would be a great starter piece for bowlers looking for something more than entry level. The Burner Pearl also works well in the transition for seasoned veterans needing something to keep them playing that down and in long into a block. Compared to the After Burner this ball is much more predictable and stable down lane and overall hooks more. This is a great step down from the Zen and a must have toned down Pearl cover in your bag.

Review:
Finally, a suitable spec replacement to the Altered Reality which got taken from us way too soon! For those of you who were fortunate enough to throw the Altered Reality, you will expect much of the same with this core and cover combination. We drilled this ball with our normal layout: tweener, 350-375 revs, 16.5mph, layout of choice is 4x4x2 (pin is above bridge). For us the Eternity fits right in between our Exotic Gem and out Absolute. The Exotic Gem is a touch earlier and a little more overall. The Eternity is ever so slightly sooner than the absolute and just a tad more overall. We tried some different cover combinations to see how this ball would react without the reacta gloss and we were very surprised. Taking off the shine really opened up the lane for us, almost infinitely. If you like to move left this ball will work for you too. With its versatility we see this ball being in many bags, league bowlers and tournament players too!

Review:
The long awaited cover variation of the Epoch core is here! We thought the Eternity was a huge sleeper and this is just as good, if not better. We love strong bowling ball covers and this is definitely one of them. We drilled this ball with our normal layout: tweener, 350-375 revs, 16.5mph, layout of choice is 4x4x2 (pin is above bridge). You will see a lot of similarities of this ball to the DNA and Reality. We feel this ball is just a touch earlier and smoother than both out of box. As with all three of those options, they all love oil and if you like to play a lot of lane this is another great piece to add to your strong bag. If you have a DNA or Reality and don’t want an overlapping pieces then it is important to keep in mind this ball is very responsive to cover changes. We took a 4000 abralon to this ball to give us a slight more variation from the DNA. Shifting us slightly right gives us a bit better look with both bowling balls coming into play without overlap.

Review:
900 Global is really hitting the mark with their releases and we are excited for them to add another BIG and STRONG asymmetrical bowling ball. The original Reality which in our opinion is probably the best 900 Global ball every made and will look even better with the A.I. core technology. We drilled this ball with our normal layout: tweener, 350-375 revs, 16.5mph, layout of choice is 4x4x2 (pin is above bridge). This ball is a monster pearl, yet still holds the predictability and versatility like we see in the SPI brands. This ball really holds a lot of energy and continuation through the pins even for burning up so much energy so quickly. This core is simplistic yet beefy and we love it for that reason. 2000-3000 grit pads really change the design and shape for some of our tournament players and compliments this cover very well. Review:
The Honey Badger Intensity really lives up to the popularity of the Honey Badger Line. Looking like a baby 900 Global Reality, the HB Intensity is a great ball down choice after starting a block with a strong solid before moving to a hybrid or pearl cover. This ball is very smooth and packs a lot of hook potential if you are a HB line lover. Compared to my HB Revival, the Intensity is stronger and a hooks a little sooner. This ball will fit well between my Proton Physix/Reality and my other HB line pieces.

First off, this ball looks very nice on the shelf… Secondly, it hooks A LOT! Be prepared to move left and open up the lane with this beauty. This ball can be compared to the Proton Physix by Storm. If you are experiencing a long oil pattern or just like to send the ball out and watch it come roaring back, then this is the piece to put in your bag. Tournament players with high ball speed will also love the look this ball gives them on the lanes. There is not many bad things to say about this ball. It is very smooth throughout the lane and really packs a punch!

Review:
Benchmark ball alert! The sublime features the all new A.I. core with a predictable ball motion that falls under the likes of the Hy-Road and Phaze lines. We really hope you don’t sleep on this release. We drilled this ball with our normal layout: tweener, 350-375 revs, 16.5mph, layout of choice is 4x4x2 (pin is above bridge). We have been patiently waiting for a symmetrical hybrid to come out of the lineup to ball down from our Summit (also featuring A.I. core). We are loving this new core technology and can attest to those lighter or off hits carrying better. Whether its your first, second, third, or sixth ball in the bag, the predictability and consistency of this piece is what everyone hopes for. The Sublime is very versatile. It could be that first out of the bag or a ball down from a higher sym or asym piece. For us it would be an immediate ball down from the Summit but for many it could be a ball down from an asym piece such as a Magic Gem, Absolute, or Clone.

Review:
900 Global really set the mark for symmetric pearls with the popularity of the original Zen. This ball really fills the gap between the Zen and Burner Pearl, almost mimicking hy-road pearl vibes. We are hoping no one overlooks this ball as it really packs a similar punch to the Zen, and yes it is that good. The Wolverine is great late in blocks if your Asym pearl is too much, or if you need to step down from a solid or hybrid cover and want to keep your feet in a similar position. One thing that really stands out and why we compare it to the hy-road pearl is the continuation is incredible and does really seem like it is on a higher level than other bowling balls.

The Xponent combines a new cover blend with a core last seen in the Ordinance C4. We drilled this ball with our normal layout: tweener, 350-375 revs, 16.5mph, layout of choice is 4x4x2 (pin is above bridge). The first thing that we noticed was how smooth this cover/core combination is. This ball easily fits in to that ‘benchmark’ ball category. Predictability that is like the Phaze II and original Hy-Road to give an example. This is probably the most consistent mid-high performance (below the Zen line) ball that the 900 Global has produced to date. One thing to note is we did not change the out of box surface on this piece (Often we will blend the covers a bit to be a slight bit more predictable on our house pattern). With its versatility we see this ball being in many bags, league bowlers and tournament players too!

Review:
The Zen line is quickly becoming a staple line similar to the Hy-Road or Phaze lines. We were happy to see another successful Zen release after we thought it hit a bit of a plateau with the ‘Master’ and ‘Soul’ just kind being okay pieces. Going back to a more similar shape to the original, the Gold Label picks up just a touch later and a touch more overall. We drilled this ball with our normal layout: tweener, 350-375 revs, 16.5mph, layout of choice is 4x4x2 (pin is above bridge). Although the SPI market is a bit flooded with pearls, this is our current favorite of the entire collection. The Meditate weight block really creates some continuous power through the pins that is not comparable. Pair that with an incredible cover and its game over for the competition.

Review:
Can you say ball of the year? There were very high expectations for this ball due to the high demand of the Original Zen. This piece did not disappoint AT ALL! We love strong symmetrical solids. For high speed and high rev players like ourselves, this piece works great, giving us continued motion and contained energy all the way through the pins. The Zen Master has similar ball motion to the reality, playing a few boards to the right. If you are starting out with a strong Asymmetrical piece this ball would work well as a transition in between that and something similar to the Burner or in the HP2 or HP1 lines by Roto. We anticipate keeping this ball on our shelf in the shop for a while.

Review:
The Zen line is quickly becoming a staple line similar to the Hy-Road or Phaze lines. This is a great addition to the original Zen if you want something that revs up a little quicker with smoother shape down lane. This is our current favorite hybrid out of the SPI collection It is incredibly smooth and the Meditate weight block really creates some continuous power through the pins. When comparing it to the original Hy-Road you can expect the Zen Soul to be slightly more forgiving if you miss left. Being slightly smoother down lane, it creates a bit more hold for us. With the shortage of Hybrid covers in the SPI line this is definitely a must have in your bag.

Review:
The Zen line has already become a GOAT line similar to the Hy-Road and Phaze lines. It is awesome that SPI decided to wrap urethane around this great core. Fitting in almost perfectly between the UC3 and the Pitch Black, the Zen U really is something special. It is hard to say anything could be smoother than the Pitch Black, but this ball is right there with it. Definitely less angular off the spot than the UC3 by quite a bit, but stronger through the beginning and middle parts of the lane. This ball will be in most seasoned league veteran and tournament players bags. It is a must have for competitive play for that added edge over the competition.

Roto Grip Attention Star
Coverstock: Reacta Gloss eTrax™ Pearl Reactive
Weight Block: Momentous™ AV + A.I. Core (Asymmetrical)
Color: Berry/Silver/Iron

Review:
This is a ball that is getting a lot of air time on BowlTV on the PBA. It is a pearl that isn’t too clean to not be useful first of out bag but also doesn’t transition off the pattern too quickly. It is unique in ways of versatility. It can blend patterns well and not see too much but also not see too little if that makes sense. Our style: tweener, 350-375 revs, 16.5mph, layout of choice is 4x4x2 (pin is above bridge). This is one of those bowling balls that is going to be hard to get out of because it looks so good on so many patterns. On patterns with a lot of volume this would be your go to ball after starting the block with say a Harsh Reality or another big solid. It fits perfectly in between those big asymmetrical solids and a lower symmetrical ball such as zen gold label or HyRoad pearl. If you need a ball that fills that gap or are looking for a replacement asymmetrical pearl this is a great option for any style of bowler!

Roto Grip Clone
Cover: OptiTrax™ Solid Reactive Reacta Gloss
Weight Block: Cloned E.T.™ Core (Asymmetrical)
Color: Alien/Deep Mist/Cyber Grape

Review:
First off, the colors on this ball and logo are awesome and look SOOOO good in person with the reacta gloss (major shelf appeal). We drilled this ball with our normal layout: tweener, 350-375 revs, 16.5mph, layout of choice is 4x4x2 (pin is above bridge). This ball is pretty comparable to the UFO line if you had one of those pieces. If you didn’t, you can expect a clean ball motion through the front and mid parts of the lane. The reacta gloss finish is perfect for an immediate ball down from a strong Asym piece when starting out on a fresh block. If we were using this on the fresh we would probably knock the reacta gloss off and go with a slight bit more surface to blend the lane a bit. Overall this ball looks great on the lane and on the shelf. Go pick up your Clone today!

Color: Black/Electric Green
Review:
Purchasing this ball means you will be supporting a great cause (Big brothers, Big Sisters) along with having a very unique piece of equipment in your bag. Wrapped in the same cover as the Exotic Gem, the new Mentor Core provides a much smoother and easily controllable shape. Our style: tweener, 350-375 revs, 16.5mph, layout of choice is 4x4x2 (pin is above bridge). This ball pairs well in our strong pearls along with our Zen and Exotic Gem. Although shaping much different, it is probably the most unique we have seen from Roto Grip in quite some time. This weight block really does pick up and continue through the pins while also providing max control. Other stronger pearls may require a bit more speed control while the Duo holds the line a bit longer. The shelf appeal is there and so is the technology behind this ball. Go out and support a great cause today!

Review:
The Exotic Gem truly speaks to its name. It is incredibly clean down the lane with very strong and continuous backend motion. The Defiant core paired with the MicroTrax pearl cover makes this ball probably the strongest pearl on the market in our opinion. Our style: tweener, 350-375 revs, 16.5mph, layout of choice is 4x4x2 (pin is above bridge). It has been a while since we have seen such a strong and powerful 1-2 punch with the Gem and Exotic Gem. Although they are both very strong, the pair is very versatile on fresh. The Exotic Gem provides a step down or if you are seeing a slightly shorter pattern in which the solid Gem is a bit too strong or too early.

Review:
The Gem is a very vibrant, very strong, very early rolling ball. This ball reminds us of the Reality and the Proton Physix. This ball will be a monster on a fresh house shot. It seems to recover very well if you push the ball to the right so we really can move our feet left and open up the lanes. This ball is also a gem when it comes to continuous motion, and is very noticeable right off the bat. If you are looking for a first out of the bag asymmetrical ball that is very strong and very continuous look no further.

Review:
This ball has been a very good complimentary seller to the Halo Pearl in our shop. The Hybrid eTrax-H19 hybrid offers a smoother and stronger arc than that of the Halo Pearl. If you love the Halo series then this will fit perfectly in your bag for higher volume house shots or sport conditions. If you currently own the Halo Pearl and are looking for something to take over early in a set then this is the perfect fit. The confidence to swing a ball out and know it will come back with ease is something this ball accomplishes very well. The continuation through the pins is also worth noting for a ball with a lot of mid lane motion. Overall we feel that this ball lives up to the reputation brought up by the other balls in the Halo series and is a must have for RG and Halo lovers!

There is NO reason to not love this line of bowling balls. They cater to literally every bowler in the world, regardless of skill level and is priced so reasonably that its worth its weight in gold. Our style: tweener, 350-375 revs, 16.5mph, layout of choice is 4x4x2 (pin is above bridge). For the seasoned veterans you can expect an extremely versatile lower end solid, something to keep transition to late in a block if you are needing to move right (even if the conditions are drying up). For the novice bowler you can expect great value in your purchase, getting a great piece of equipment for pennies over an entry level reactive bowling ball. The color options also appeal to novice bowlers who may care more about color than performance. The trusted Hustle core is in many bowling record books for a reason, it’s just that good. This ball has major shelf appeal and will look great in your bag!

Review:
The Hustle line sells through very well in our shop. There are not many bowling balls made by great companies that are affordable for the beginner and reliable and trusted by tournament veterans. This ball can be altered in many fashions to fit your game. It can be polished if you want to delay the reaction a bit down lane. It also comes out of the box at 3000, so altering this to 1500 would be an option if you play on some oil and use this ball as your first out of the bag. The one thing this ball will not use is continuation through the pins. A lot of times you would expect similar balls in this price point to not finish quite as hard as this guy does here. Whether you are looking for a great starter ball or needing a “step down” solid late in a block, this ball lives up to the Hustle name.

Review:
Another hit from the Hustle line. The bang for your buck is outstanding for any of the Roto Grip Hustle bowling balls. The RAP reads tremendously, and that Hustle core really carries through the pins with force. This ball not only looks amazing but would be a great fit for the down and in style of play for the beginning bowler. The tournament players who are used to the Hustle line can expect predictability late in a block, or a trusted starter piece for those very dry conditions. The RAP would also be a good complimentary piece to the PBR, allowing to stay to the right part of the lane. Overall, we feel the RAP, along with the PBR are great pieces to the Hustle line and can really work for any budget or style of play.

We were sad to see the MVP line fade away but are so glad that they have replaced it with such an amazing line in the Hyped. No matter your talent level you should have a mid level ball in your bag and this piece fits anyone with its versatility. If you are bowling late in block then this shape will benefit you greatly. We feel this ball has the perfect amount of length down lane without that overpowering snap effect some pearl or hybrid balls today have. The continuation is also amazing for a mid level piece.

The Idol line continues to pump out bangers! We loved the Xtreme cover found in the Idol Helios and so did many of our customers. Having a pearl version of this cover feels like cheating! We threw some polish on the cover to push that reaction further down lane and we are loving the shape We hope the timing of this release doesn’t keep people from trying our this ball because it really is something special. If you have purchased any of the Idol line of bowling balls then this is a must have. This is also a unique shape to put into your tournament bag. Great job SPI!

This ball is getting a lot of hype with many honor scores, and a 900 coming even before the release date. We are expecting a lot of sales on this ball due to many factors, and yes, coloring being one of them. This ball looks amazing going down the lane with its vibrant orange. The idol line has been very successful and if you have not tried one yet this ball will definitely be a good starting point. The Idol line has produced some great all around pieces that really fit any style of bowler and they come out at a great price point too! This ball reminds be most of the original pink Idol for its shape and even solid color.

Review:
Settle the confusion early. This is not the same as the original Idol nor should it be considered a “step child”. RG took the original Idol core and tweaked the solid cover with a 3000 sheen to give this is completely different look and down lane motion. Basically what they created was a smarter and safer play down lane with the same monster amount of continuation through the pins as the original Idol. If you miss a little inside this ball will have more hold than the Idol. This ball has some characteristics of the original Hyroad with the versatility factor. Early or late in a set, the Idol Pro is predictable and seems like the “pro” move to make if you currently do not have it in your bag.

Review:
Roto did a great job of creating an overall representation of the Idol line with the Idol Synergy Hybrid. Blending the color of the OG Idol and the Idol Pearl (two “TV ball” staples) kind of tells you what this ball is… a perfect fit between the two pieces in a phenomenal and great selling line. If you have not had the privilege of throwing any ball in this line then this is a great starting point, as it is a blend of the two Idol balls. If you are thinking about adding this piece to your Idol arsenal then you can assure yourself you’re getting another quality, predictable, and versatile piece. Fitting in between, the Synergy provides the smoothest shape from beginning to end of lane. Because of this it is best fitted for a first out of bag for a house shot, or a good second look in a tournament as the set goes on or for when your OG Idol starts to dip a little too soon on the back end of the lane. Another winner from the ever popular Idol line!

Review:
The Gem series has been a home run for that first out of bag bowling ball and not to mention the awesome shelf appeal! If you love those bowling balls that like to move this will not disappoint. Our style: tweener, 350-375 revs, 16.5mph, layout of choice is 4x4x2 (pin is above bridge). We really like this ball for fresh tournament and house patterns. We often find ourselves beginning with this piece in game 1 and transitioning to something a little smoother down lane in the later part of game 2 and game 3. This ball may not be as versatile as some of the other SPI asym bowling balls but it must not be overlooked for its power on the fresh. It really is a true Gem. This may be more of a niche piece but it is definitely worth checking out at a local matchmaker to see if it fills that Magic gap in your arsenal!

Review:
What a home run RG hit here… the bang for your buck on this one is incredible, maybe the best “value ball” ever. The thing that works so well here is virtually anyone can throw it. We have had people in our shop purchasing this as their first ball and seeing their game drastically improve in a short amount of time as well as seasoned veterans adding this to their arsenal who see a completely different look from what they have in their bag. Many are comparing this ball to the Wrecker. We see a lot more people adding this to their bag then any other ball in the HP2 line in quite some time. If you need a ball late in a set or for very dry conditions but do not want to give up any carry by stepping down to a “lower end” core then this is definitely the perfect fit. Very smooth through the fronts and very powerful at the pins, the MVP is exactly that… “most valuable”.

Review:
Wow… this ball is way stronger than we were anticipating… and its out of the box at 3000. Seems crazy! You will find a LOT of mid lane traction and a lot of response to friction. This has to be the most bang for your buck if you have someone in the shop looking for hook on a budget. This ball is engineered for medium oil but we could see this working easily on very oily conditions with lower ball speed or moving your feet slightly to the right. Another option for oily lanes would be to alter the cover to 1500. If you purchase this ball and want to cut a little bit of overall aggression you could consider polishing it and not loose any continuation through the pins. Basically, this ball is very versatile and can be changed to fit your game. This ball has a lot of shock effect so do some research into a matchmaker near you and take it for a whirl!

We were so happy to see them continue the MVP line. This ball follows suit as a ball that fits in a variety of bags, no matter the level of talent. It’s always nice to see seasoned veterans throwing this rock. This ball really allows someone who typically swings it out to move right and play down and in. We feel this ball has the perfect amount of length down lane without that overpowering snap effect some balls today have. The continuation and hitting power is legit! Don’t feel like you can’t add this ball as your “go to” because of it being in the HP2 lineup… this ball brings some serious heat and is a real MVP in our books!

Review:
Another ball in the cell line and another instant hit! There is a reason why certain lines stick around for a long time… they are top notch pieces. The Cell line is to Roto Grip as the Hy-Road line is to Storm. One thing that stuck out with the Hyper Cell Fused was the level of comfort the line gave to the player and that is why you saw so many Hyper Cells at tournaments. You will find similar characteristics in this piece. This is a tiny step down from the Hyper Cell but with similar entry angle and motion. The Nuclear will give you a little more length down lane and a little more hold before having to ball down. Overall this is a great complimentary piece to the fleet of Cell bowling balls and a great ball for tournament or league bowlers alike!

Roto Grip Optimum Idol
Coverstock: 2000 Grit MicroTrax™ Solid Reactive
Weight Block: Ikon™ + A.I. Core (Symmetrical)
Color: Heliotrope Purple

Review:
This ball is the one everyone has been waiting for. The remake of the original Idol is finally here, in a slightly more purplish look. Out of box this ball is very early and very smooth, that first out of bag ball for most conditions. Our style: tweener, 350-375 revs, 16.5mph, layout of choice is 4x4x2 (pin is above bridge). Everyone loves a strong benchmark piece, and that’s exactly what the Optimum Idol brings. This ball looks best playing the middle to right part of the lane for us. Because it is a ball that reads so early you won’t be able to shape the entire lane if you like to play way left. Comparing the Optimum Idol to the Phaze 2 you can expect the Idol to be a little earlier, a little stronger, and smoother shape. There is enough difference between these two similar pieces that they could compliment each other very well in a long block. Starting with the Idol and balling down should give lots of hold room for the Phaze 2 which will read slightly farther down lane in game 2 and on. Overall this ball is a huge home run and we look forward to seeing a lot of these roll down the lanes.

Review:
Do not let the name confuse or distract you. We have had a few customers think the name is “too technical” and therefore overlook this piece. Because of this, and the awesome color, we have nicknamed this ball the dark horse. You will find similar characteristics in the RST X-1 to the Physix. This ball has great continuous motion down lane and maintains tons of energy to the pins. One thing that really stands out with this ball is the response to cover changes! We have had a lot of customers fine tune their covers. Everything from taking it to 1000, to putting some shine on the cover… all seem to work great which proves the versatility and hold this ball has for many conditions. Compared to a new asymmetrical release with no out of box changes you could expect this ball to be a step down from the Proton Physix with much more length down the lane. Overall, this ball will be great for house conditions and spectacular for tournament players who need a versatile cover in their bag for changes during sets.

We had several customers overlook the original RST at first simply because of the name seeming too technical. We had a demo event a few weeks after the release and I think a lot of our league bowlers were surprised at how it stood out from the rest of the bowling balls at the event. Fast forward to the X-2 release and we were not surprised at the immediate excitement and all the talk amongst the bowling community. This ball is special and stands out, especially being similar colors to the Hy-Road Pearl. The reaction is unlike any other, kind of in a league of its own. You can expect this ball to have exponential versatility, kind of like a consistent symmetrical ball that isn’t. This is a must have for seasoned veterans and tournament bowlers.

Review:
The Rubicon is a perfect ball to roll out in the era of no balance holes. The all new Rondure core provides the shape down lane that you would typically find in a ball with a balance hole, which is now illegal in sanctioned play/competition. You may also notice that this ball is asymmetrical yet in the HP3 line. This means more bang for your buck and more versatility in your bag. Usually people associate asymmetrical bowling balls with high rev and/or high speed players. The thing that makes this ball stand out, like all “benchmark” bowling balls, is how it suits any bowler. For a high speed and high rev rate player, this ball works perfectly where the lanes start to break down but your strong asymmetrical solid is too much. For the low speed or low rev rate player this ball fits perfectly as their first out of bag or allows them to throw an asymmetrical ball longer in a set. Simply put, we love the price point and the versatility this ball provides for ANY bowler.

The Rubicon UC2 continues the greatness of the Rubicon line giving you a ball to transition to as the lanes change. Because of this, you see a lot of seasoned veterans and tournament bowlers transitioning to this piece deep in a block. For the average league bowler or someone looking to expand their bag, the price point offers a look into strong backend motion with incredible continuation. Overall, this ball is a very versatile piece of equipment and there is no doubt you will be seeing a lot of purple and black on TV.

This is a special ball for so many reasons. Not often do you see a pearl urethane asymmetric ball drop and be so successful and talked about. This ball seems to react well on all different kind of lane surfaces and patterns. Even when you need a ball to hook, freshening up the surface with an abralon pad will make all the difference in the world. The continuation and carry down on this ball is also amazing. Overall, the combination of core and cover is really special and looks great with that matte grey finish.

Review:
This is a great release from Roto Grip. The technical data has benchmark ball written all over it. We drilled this ball with our normal layout: tweener, 350-375 revs, 16.5mph, layout of choice is 4x4x2 (pin is above bridge). This ball compares closely to the Phaze 2, so those of you who love Roto and are looking for that GOAT sort of ball, this fits in perfectly. This ball does like oil, and speed, or a good combination of both to be honest. Slower ball speeds may want to take the cover up to 3000 or 4k to see a little more length. This ball is incredibly continuous and it really does speak to its name when it hits the pins because they do seem to fly different. We see this ball easily being that next ‘house shot killer’ and we expect this bowling ball in a lot of customers hands. Visit your local Pro Shop Operator and ask about the TNT today!

Review:
This is a great release from Roto Grip. The initial TNT technical data has benchmark ball written all over it, and now you have your benchmark hybrid. We drilled this ball with our normal layout: tweener, 350-375 revs, 16.5mph, layout of choice is 4x4x2 (pin is above bridge). With the out of box finish this ball took a couple of games to wear the cover down to a point where we felt there was a bit more hold or miss room. It seemed a bit picky the first 2/3 of the lane if you weren’t perfect, and our house shot isn’t too difficult. Although it did burn in a little bit after some cover wear we took a 2k abralon pad and on the fresh saw a much more predictable and consistent reaction that you would except out of box from a benchmark like the OG Hyroad, Xponent, etc. Overall this is a great piece for someone starting out with the first high performance piece or someone adding that benchmark Hybrid to their bag.

Review:
This is a great release from Roto Grip. The technical data has benchmark sport and house pattern ball written all over it. We drilled this ball with our normal layout: tweener, 350-375 revs, 16.5mph, layout of choice is 4x4x2 (pin is above bridge). This ball is the lowest Diff and RG every created by Roto and for that reason really stands out not only in SPI but the entire bowling ball market. Pair that with the modified core seen in the Rubicon series and the TourTrax cover and you have a guaranteed winner. Comparing this ball to IQ Tour you will find it a touch later and more shape down lane, obviously created by the asymmetry of the core. On a fresh house pattern you will want to tighten up your line a bit but this in turn will still allow for some miss room. For all of these reasons this ball will fit into just about anyone’s bag whether you are a tournament player or just a fall & winter league bowler.

The UFO is definitely out of this world on hook potential. We feel this ball has the strongest and most continuous motion down lane we have seen from Roto Grip in some time. You could compare this ball to an earlier and overall more aggressive Storm Gravity Evolve. This ball is going to be great for a lot of different players… Those who have a lower rev rate and are looking for something that doesn’t have a problem getting to the pocket and seasoned veterans and tournament bowlers who run into a long or heavy pattern or are just looking to move left and create some area.

The UFO line contains a very underrated core in our opinion. The continuous motion that is created is incredible. This line favors those with higher ball speeds or lower rev rates looking for something that is going to keep energy down lane and really pack a punch. If you are seeing heavier volumes or love to move left and create some area then this ball will also suit you perfectly. This ball is pretty comparable to the Storm Phase 3 as a first out of bag and will also serve as a perfect step down to the UFO or Gravity Evolve. P.S. if you have not seen a picture of this core please do so ASAP it is an eye catcher and the technology behind it is remarkable!

This ball fits very nicely between the Idol and MVP lines that RG has to offer. If you currently own an idol you will see this being the transition ball for when you need something a little less aggressive down lane. We see the ball reaction comparable to a less aggressive version of the Phaze 2, a very popular ball on the circuit currently. If you are looking for something to fill the gap between your “go to” and your “light oil” then this is definitely the ball. A consistent and confident shape down lane with significant power through the pins.

Review:
The cell line returns! If you were waiting to see if this ball was going to be like one of those bad sequel movies that totally flopped then sorry but you’re wrong and very late to the party. This ball with AI core looks even better than the original. Very smooth, very predictable, and does not need to see dry parts of the lane to hook. Our style: tweener, 350-375 revs, 16.5mph, layout of choice is 4x4x2 (pin is above bridge). The cell line is a staple that really put Roto Grip on the map and they hit a home run with this release. This ball looks good on fresh house shots but better and more versatile playing multiple lines on longer sport patterns where you have more volume. Some houses with built in friction may not have enough hold on a house shot for this hook monster. If you are looking for that big solid piece, or a replacement for say a Gem or DNA, this is the one.

Review:
There was a ton of hype early on with this ball. It not only has a great name, logo, and colorway, but we have been long awaiting a Hybrid Asymmetrical ball from Storm, not to mention the intriguing new DEEP Hybrid cover. We drilled this ball with our normal layout: tweener, 350-375 revs, 16.5mph, layout of choice is 4x4x2 (pin is above bridge). This ball gives off Intense Fire vibes in the shape and ball motion for us. The first main difference between the two is CLEANliness! Yes, this ball is probably the cleanest BIG ball from SPI we’ve ever thrown. It also has a very dynamic turn off the spot created with the Sentinel core. The Absolute fits perfectly in between a Super Nova or Gem and the IQ line. Storm has been long overdue for an asymmetrical hybrid cover so this will fit in just about anyone’s bag. It could be that first out of bag or that in between ball when the lanes start to transition away from needing a big asymmetrical solid.

Review:
SPI really pushed this piece heavily on social media. We didn’t really match up well with the original Absolute. We felt it was a little too clean and never really had that back-end reaction we felt it needed with box surface to help the cleanliness of the ball shape. Taking that ball and adding a solid cover and knocking the finish down really helped give the Absolute Power the shape we were looking for in the original. We drilled this ball with our normal layout: tweener, 350-375 revs, 16.5mph, layout of choice is 4x4x2 (pin is above bridge). This ball is smooth on the fresh with that down and in motion, surprisingly smooth for an asymmetrical ball. It also blends the lane nicely in that game 2 and game 3 scneario where you need to move a little left. We can see this ball being one of those pieces that you stay with for several games making small adjustments before having to ball down or go to something slightly cleaner. For these reasons, this is a special piece. It is a ball for league bowlers, tournament players, and everyone in between. Make sure you grab an Absolute Power today!

This ball has been a very good complimentary seller to the original Physix in our shop. The pearl R2S cover along with this strong core allows players to move to this piece if their high end solid, hybrid, or Physix for example is a bit too much. Many players have compared this ball to an IQ emerald or Code Red. To us this ball reacts more like the IQ emerald but with a sharper and stronger finish through the pins. We feel this ball is an excellent choice to start out on or transition to when you are experiencing medium to oily lanes. This ball has fit into many bags of players of different styles in our facility. Overall it has proven to be a trusted go to ball early or late in a set.

Color: Sky Blue/Navy/Slate

Review:
This is a monster symmetrical ball… for sure the strongest symmetrical ball currently from Storm or Roto Grip. A lot of people are calling this the baby UFO. The shape is almost identical with the Axiom playing a couple of boards on the approach to the right. If you own a UFO you will see similar response to friction and identical hitting power. This thing destroys the pins if you find the pocket. This is a great transition ball from a solid asymmetrical piece allowing you to play a similar line without switching to an asymmetrical pearl and changing your entry angle. Overall this ball is very smooth from front to end of lane, hits like a ton of bricks, and loves oil! If you love to move left and create some area this is a must have in your bag!

Review:
The Axiom Pearl is SUCH a good piece for several reasons. It lives up to the success of the original Axiom. It is in our opinion one of the best complimentary balls that has come out in a long time. Rarely do you see another ball in a line sell BETTER than the original. It is just as predictable (especially predictable for a pearl cover), just as smooth off the spot, and just if not more powerful than the OG Axiom. The thing we love about this line is that there is a large yet still incredible complimentary difference between the two. Often in a line you may experience that when the solid becomes too much that the pearl counterpart is still either too much or just is not fitting with the pattern. The ability to be comfortable moving to pieces in your bag is important and this is exactly what this line provides. We think that is what people are loving with this 1-2 punch.

Review:
The dark code has been a hot seller in our shop. The name is great, the color is great, and the motion that the ReX cover and RAD4 core bring is even better. The cover is a blend of the NeX and R2s. What this means is that you will see a strong midlane and angular backend motion (that you would expect from a Storm pearl cover. Overall, this ball handles the lane in a very predictable way and is our current first out of bag on most patterns). The versatility is amazing and therefore can be used playing multiple parts of the lane with various speeds and rotation. The code series has never disappointed, and this is just more proof that this line is for real!!

Review:
An all-new core and cover combo is here… Storm’s DNA. Before drilling we expected this ball to be different. Looking at the numbers you can see this big asymmetrical solid has an unconventional low RG and high differential. We drilled this ball with our normal layout: tweener, 350-375 revs, 16.5mph, layout of choice is 4x4x2 (pin is above bridge). We were surprised at how different this big solid is compared to that of a Super Nova, Gem, or Reality. The DNA really stands out compared to these and is much more versatile due to its ability to get through the lane a little cleaner and less flare. This ball will be best used for medium to oily conditions when the Super Nova or Gem is a little too much too early. This ball is suitable for all skill levels and overall we are really happy with the gap that this fills in the Storm line of products.

Review:
We were very big fans of the original DNA. Sometimes with new cover and core combos you never really know what to expect but it worked very well for our games. Putting a pearl cover around that core really made the DNA line that much sweeter. We drilled this ball with our normal layout: tweener, 350-375 revs, 16.5mph, layout of choice is 4x4x2 (pin is above bridge). This ball is clean, not quite as clean as a summit peak for example but in our eyes that is a good for that first out of bag asymmetrical piece where you don’t really want that extremely long snappy shape. This ball is a carry monster with the angular shape it creates. It is probably our favorite release of 2024 so far. We see this as our first out of bag bowling ball for multiple patterns for that game 1 to game 2 scenario before balling down to a symmetrical piece.

This is one of those staple balls we look forward coming into our shop for many reasons. The color and fragrance are great (yes this matters to a novice bowler looking to step up from a Tropical Surge or a first ball purchase of something a bit more than “entry level”). This ball also serves many purposes for the traditional league bowler as well as seasoned tournament veteran. The Electrify B-S-Y could be used to fill the gap for a traditional league bowler who either does not have a symmetrical piece of equipment or has not yet experienced a pearl coverstock to help stay to the right part of the lane on those nights where you may run into some dry conditions. This ball is also a must have for the seasoned tournament veteran who needs a ball to get through the dry conditions late in a block without having to move against the ball return. We drilled this ball with our normal layout: tweener, 350-375 revs, 16.5mph, layout of choice is 4x4x2 (pin is above bridge). For us it provides us with all the above. In times where a thunder line ball is too much, look no further than an Electrify.

Review:
Our shop sells a ton of SPI bowling balls in this price range for the casual bowlers who want a step up from a Tropical Surge but aren’t quite ready for a strong symmetrical or asymmetrical piece. Overall it is a great value as these bowling balls tend to be very versatile for their ability to work well with players of all rev rates and speeds. For the rev dominant players, this ball will not overpower the fronts and will read very clean throughout the lane. For the medium rev players this ball will be a great first out of bag and don’t be afraid to knock the polish off if you want a little bit different reaction down lane. For the tournament players this range is necessary in low volume sets or long tournament blocks where you need the ball to get cleaner through the front parts of the lanes without jumping too early. This piece is the definition of power and control.

Everyone loves a good mid level solid ball. This is a ball that is in play for a long period of time because of its versatility. Changing covers on mid level balls is also very popular for that reason. From what we have seen many people are experiencing great success with taking the polish off if you experience more of a traditional house shot, or a house shot that puts a lot of volume down. If you loved the Electrify Pearl but need something a bit stronger this is a great compliment and the 3-tone red color looks amazing.

Review:
This ball looked incredibly good in the demo we held at our facility. For us, this ball fits perfectly between the Pitch Black and Pitch Purple. You will find that the Fast Pitch goes further down lane than the Pitch Black, yet turns off the spot and hits harder than the Pitch Purple. If you are a tournament player that needs versatility in the bag or a high speed and high rev player that sees some short patterns, this is your ball. You continually see the Pitch Black on TV because it has been the staple urethane ball since its release. We fell this ball will live up to that hype and compliment it well as it has predictability and power, two things you really need from a urethane piece.

We have been big fans of all the signature releases from Storm. They should be liked well beyond just the Belmo name being slapped on the ball for many reasons. These bowling balls really pack a punch and a unique shape that is not replicated in any other pieces. The all new F-8 Core not only looks great, but also has the highest differential of any signature release meaning more bang for you buck. We recently held a demo at our shop and this was the hottest ball (next to the Zen U of course). Because of the high differential and mediocre RG, this ball is a good mix for any bowler and really fits any type of lane surface. With all of the hype and Belmo really pushing this ball, we are excited for release day!

WOW! That is the reaction after you throw your first shot with this ball. The motion and power this ball brings to the pocket is incredible. Wrapping the SPEC cover with the Shape-Lock™ HD Core brings much more movement than the Crux Prime. The ability to move left, swing the ball, and create this much room is remarkable. Lose focus and miss your mark to the right and this ball will find its way to the pocket no problem. Make sure to wipe your ball with a Storm Shammy after each shot to ensure a clean SPEC coverstock and this ball is an absolute MONSTER! Great for oily conditions and sport shots where you are trying to create some area. Great job Storm!

Review:
This eye-catching addition to the Road line is the most aggressive yet. Taking this famous weight block and wrapping it with the NeX cover allows this ball to turn early and continue through the pins with ease. If you have thrown the Axiom then you will find that this ball is a little more aggressive overall, with a sharper turn from breakpoint. For solid cover stock lovers, this will be a great fit as it is versatile enough to open up the lane by moving left, or being that first out of bag before balling down to a less aggressive solid or hybrid cover. So far this ball has been very popular in the shop, possibly because of shelf appeal, but more importantly living up the ‘Road’ name.

We are really loving this new “lesser asymmetric” ball to the Storm line for several reasons. It takes on surface changes remarkably well, making it blend into any bag because of its versatility. Out of box the Incite also seems to be a different shape than what you are used to from a Storm asymmetrical ball. It meshes well between the traditional symmetrical and asymmetrical that you may be used to. During a long block I find myself turning to this ball between my Proton Physix and my OG Hy-Road.

Review:
There is a unique shape coming from this bowling ball that we love. The new 4k Fast finish is really looking good on these SPI bowling balls. The Atomic core is very center heavy which drives the RG down and smoothes the ball out while still creating huge continuous power through the pins. This ball also has an intriguing scent which you can currently take a guess in Storm’s ‘guess the scent contest’. Compared to the dark code, this ball is smoother mid lane with a similar entry angle. If you love smooth big asyms then this is your ball!

Review:
Game changer! This ball shape and reaction is best described as all the GOATs combined. We are seeing OG Hyroad, Phaze 2, IQ Solid vibes but in an asymmetrical piece. We drilled this ball with our normal layout: tweener, 350-375 revs, 16.5mph, layout of choice is 4x4x2 (pin is above bridge). It is hard, and also very early, to say this could take the Phaze 2 to its grave but it may do so. The versatility of this ball and the way it reacts to surface changes makes it very dynamic, and backs up the slightly high “benchmark” price tag. You can expect to use this ball pretty much the way you find yourself using a Phaze 2. It looks good on the fresh, it looks great moving left, and it looks even better on sport patterns. This is a ball that you keep multiples drilled with maybe two different coverstock variations to use in a tournament. It is that good.

Review:
The long awaited answer to the rule change on urethane for tour players. This ball features the same cover as the Pitch Black updated to 78 hardness wrapped around the famous IQ core. I would be careful before drilling this piece as pointed out in some of the reviews and videos produced by Storm. With the new rule changes one might think to drill this ball as strong as possible because of hardness rules on urethane. With the IQ core already wanting to start up early you may not want to add fuel to the fire or the ball may die before reaching the pins. We drilled this ball differently that most of our other pieces with this in mind and were able to combat this issue. The shape is very consistent with that of a Pitch Black even staying within the rules so kudos to the SPI R&D. This is a great core and cover pairing for Tour players. For anyone looking to experience the new era of urethane or if you are a tour player needing to stay within the rules visit your local PSO and talk about layout options on the new IQ 78U.

This ball is an awesome addition to the IQ line that Storm has put out over the years. The R2S pearl reactive cover allows this ball to read the lane very well. You won’t find a lot of unwanted jump out of the gate. The IQ proves to be incredibly smooth down lane and very predictable from front to end of lane. If you are fortunate enough to have an IQ tour solid in your arsenal and you find that the lanes are transitioning in your set, then this is definitely the ball to turn to. Another great addition to the IQ line. The lightweight core and nano pearl coverstock work incredibly well together to make this ball predictable and smooth from beginning to end of lane. Because this ball is so versatile you will see many players altering covers to get the reaction they want on a given lane condition. This piece fits best in our shop for tournament veterans and seasoned league bowlers. The IQ Tour Nano Pearl will most likely be the first IQ ball out of the bag for those who have several IQ pieces simply because of the versatility and predictability factor. From there they move to a different IQ piece rather than ball down. For league bowlers looking for a pearl piece to add to their arsenal, this may be the direction you want to steer them simply because it is so easy to alter the cover and still work for multiple styles of play. Overall a very solid piece from Storm and yes, it smells great as always!

The Journey is wrapped with the same core as the Fate but what really excites us is the new cover. The TX-16, as seen in solid form on the Phaze 2, is a benchmark shape that really suites many bowlers and styles very well. Compared to the Fate, you can expect the Journey to be cleaner in the front and store more energy towards the back. To us the Fate was more rounded and much earlier. There seems to be a bit more continuation in the Journey for that reason. The Journey is that first out of bag benchmark shape that most people look for. It also smells incredible and the colors really pop on the wall. Check out your local pro shop today and don’t forget to bowl up a Storm!

Review:
The all new Lightning Blackout is an interesting release. We have not really seen anything like this in a while and the reason for that is it is essentially a “specialty” addition to an arsenal. In golf terms it is one of those rescue sort of clubs that you need in certain situations. You may not use it in a tournament, and it may sit in the bag at times for a while, but it sure is a lifesaver when the lanes are burnt up and you need something that gets down the lane and still retains a large amount of energy into the pins. We drilled this ball with our normal layout: tweener, 350-375 revs, 16.5mph, layout of choice is 4x4x2 (pin is above bridge). Again it is hard to completely compare this ball to another current ball in the lineup because it is kind of niche but it does give off Hustle or IQ ruby vibes in a sense that it looks best after the transition. If you are looking for a benchmark or bigger ball to start the block or a new ball on a typical house shot for league this probably isn’t the best option. But if you often find yourself searching through your bag to find that right ball reaction on lanes that are a bit burnt and challenging then this is the piece to pick up.

Review:
This was a much anticipated release for us with the successful ReX cover (found on the Dark Code and Infinite Physix) wrapped around the fame of the Fe2 weightblock in the HyRoad line. It was to no surprise that the Night Road hooks more and earlier than the HyRoad OG and Pearl. This ball seemed to read better and be more forgiving once the lanes broke down a bit. This will be a great addition to tournament players who love the strong pearl ReX cover and want a step down from the Infinite or Dark Code. For the house or league players that love the HyRoad line, this would be a great addition if you want an earlier reading ball than the HyRoad OG. Overall this ball has great shelf appeal with the sparkling purple logos with the midnight black 4K Fast finish and definitely lives up to the Road line hype!

Review:
This ball had a lot of hype with Storm’s youtube teaser and giveaways and we think it definitely lives up to it. First thing is this ball is very strong and really likes the oil. It reads early, similarly to the RST-X1 or the newer Reality, but still creates a lot of shape down lane. As you move left this ball seems to look better and better. We like that the ball gets into a roll early but doesn’t give up down lane. This is a ball that can give you a lot of confidence with its versatility. Playing with steeper angles or also playing straight down the lane allows this ball to look equally as good. Don’t be afraid of this BIG asymmetrical ball.

Review:
We are loving this addition to the Crux line. Usually sanded pearls don’t hold well for either of us on a typical house shot but this new addition is very surprising. Compared to the Alpha Crux this ball goes a little longer (as you would expect from a pearl cover) with a slightly sharper entry angle into pocket. It is important to note that the entry angle differs from your typical pearl in that it is not too “hockey stick” like in shape. We feel this is a perfect mix for people who like pearl and hybrid covers and need something to fit that gap. We hosted a matchmaker a few weeks ago and people were loving the shape down lane. It is a unique shape out of box and one ball in particular that stands out as a monster pearl. This is one pearl that you will not be afraid to use if there is some oil out there.

Review:
This ball was super fun to throw for the first time as it is an all new cover stock by Storm. The TractionX7 is basically the best of the best. They took bits and pieces of 7 of the most epic covers Storm has come out with and formed a “super cover”. This hybrid brings a little bit of both worlds… strong, but not too strong like a solid cover asymmetrical, and not too snappy on the backend that you would find with most asymmetrical pearls. Inside you find the coolest looking core out there that packs a huge punch with its lightweight, high RG, and high diff while taking the new USBC balance hole rules into effect. The Parallax is a real treat to throw and I am sure you will find a lot of these in a variety of bags. We encourage Storm fans to find a Matchmaker event and try it out!

Strong pearl covers are a must for players with multiple pieces of equipment. Fitting in between the Parallax and my Axiom, this ball gets through the fronts much smoother, yet still continues through the pins like you would expect. This ball really stands out on the shelf in our shop and it is hard to find something negative to say about it. At a recent demo we held it was by far the most popular ball people wanted to try, and we sold a lot of them! If you are looking to create more down lane motion then this is the ball for you.

We love the Phaze line. All of the bowling balls in this line have been perfectly executed with unique and important benchmark shapes. After throwing this ball we really notice it is core dominant and wants to start up rather quickly. This ball really likes to get down the lane and create some room for you to move your feet left. The Phaze 4 would be a great ball on the burn or in the transitional period in a block where you need something a little weaker than a Spectre or something along those spec lines. Overall this ball will pair perfectly with the Phaze 2 and 3 in our bags.

Review:
This is the kind of ball people come into the shop asking for 2… one for now, and one for later! Without seeing or feeling the coverstock one would think this ball is reactive and not urethane based on ball reaction. Compared to the Pitch Black this ball is stronger (about 5 boards on the approach for us) with a later and stronger entry angle into the pocket. The Pitch Purple is one of those rare bowling balls that comes around every so often that EVERYONE must have… similar to the original Hy-Road. After throwing the Pitch Purple for a few games you really notice how well this ball holds the pattern. It is strong enough to come back if you miss a little to the right and does not jump in the dry boards if you pull it left. If you have not thrown urethane before or have tried it in the past and have not been impressed then you need to find a matchmaker and try this out… it does not disappoint. If you are a urethane lover and need something that reacts more like a reactive bowling ball when the lanes have some oil then this is a must have in your bag. There is no doubt you will see this ball being used A LOT in tournament play.

WOW! We feel this is by far the best of the Belmo signature line balls. This ball is comparable in wow factor to the legendary and original Hy-Road. You can compare the ball reaction to that of the Phaze II. Storm did an incredible job on R&D for this product. This ball is incredibly smooth and predictable. The cover and core work very well together to showcase what many call a “benchmark” bowling ball. Versatile on many different parts of the lane on very different conditions, this ball can virtually be thrown by any type of bowler. Those of you who may think you need to use 2 hands to throw the Belmo signature line, please think again… you may be missing out on something SPECtacular!

Review:
Dang this thing hooks… and hooks… and hooks. No question the most aggressive ball currently out by Storm. This was a necessary edition to the Physix line that only lacked a ball suited for heavy oil conditions. This ball is going to be a great seller… awesome color, smell, name, and a part of a phenomenal line of Physix pieces. Low rev players that need a little extra help will love this ball on a traditional house shot. Seasoned veterans who love to play the entire lane will love this ball. Tournament players and pros who see a variety of heavy oil conditions will love this ball if they need to open up the lane a little bit and create a little area. This is just one of those bowling balls that is fun to have in the bag. You will see this in a lot of bags and on a lot of televised events. Review:
We were so glad to see the remake of the Spectre with a new look and amazing smell. This ball really has some shelf appeal. The only real difference between the Spectre and the Revenant is the polish. With the Revenant having the Reacta Gloss finish you will probably notice just a touch more length if you got the chance to throw the Spectre. Our style: tweener, 350-375 revs, 16.5mph, layout of choice is 4x4x2 (pin is above bridge). This is one of those pearls that really fits well as your first out of bag. Most times for us pearl covers work a little better later in a block. The R3S is so clean through the fronts that we really see some potential coming earlier or being that first out of bag bowling ball. Due to it being so clean through the fronts that will also create some versatility. After a few initial games we knocked the polish off the cover to see its full potential and it really impressed us. This will be a great ball for many players with its shelf appeal and ability to play different parts of the lane.

The Spectre is Storm’s latest symmetrical bowling ball. If you love the Wolverine but are looking for something with a little stronger motion, this fills that gap perfectly. On the flip side, if you are looking for similar motion to the altered reality but want something slightly weaker, this is the perfect fit. This ball tends to look really good on the fresh and in our opinion is the perfect benchmark ball for a house shot, similar to the famous OG hy-road.

Review:
If you get to know the background regarding the specifications and technology involved in this bowling ball, then you will understand it has a lot to live up to. The Summit takes a little bit of technology from both the Phaze II and the IQ tour and adds a new cover blend to complete everything. The creation gives one of the strongest shaping symmetrical balls I have personally thrown from SPI. We drilled this ball with our normal layout: tweener, 350-375 revs, 16.5mph, layout of choice is 4x4x2 (pin is above bridge). For us it was everything we thought it would be in that it picks up sooner and more overall than the Phaze 2 while still maintaining that smooth shape of both the Phaze and IQ lines. This ball will be perfect for those wanting a ball to hook off the lane but not spend the money of an asymmetrical piece or those that prefer the way symmetrical pieces shape the lane but also want the ball to hook early. Another ball that this shape reminds us of is the Axiom from a few years ago. Especially because of the logo and blue coloring, this ball could be considered a step up in overall hook and shape. We are looking forward to drilling up a ton of these. Who will be next in line to reach the summit?

Review:
The pearl version of the summit was the one we were waiting for. We love the tech and cover SPI blended with the original summit bowling ball. For us it was one of the strongest symmetrical bowling balls we have thrown. Before drilling we really expected this ball was going to be very clean and hook a lot off the spot. We drilled this ball with our normal layout: tweener, 350-375 revs, 16.5mph, layout of choice is 4x4x2 (pin is above bridge). As we expected this ball is very angular. On the fresh this ball is probably too clean for us. If we had to make it work we would probably need to knock the polish off with some surface, probably 2-3k. Because we want this type of shape later in the block we will leave the cover out of box. This ball is a perfect ball down from the original summit, or maybe a solid asymmetrical piece of equipment. We see it blending perfectly in that late game 2 to games 3-4 range. Something in between a first out of bag to say a hustle. Overall we love the look, smell, and logo. This ball has great shelf appeal and if you love to see that clean look down lane with a big snap you will not be disappointed in this piece.

Boasting the Ignition Core, the Nova lineup really speaks versatility. The original Nova wrapped in the R2X allowed players to keep this ball in their hand even when the lanes broke down without balling down too quickly. Wrapped in the NeX solid cover, the Super Nova is a perfect first out of bag that will allow you to move even further left with confidence on higher oil patterns before balling down to the Nova or moving to a symmetrical piece. Don’t be afraid to play with the out of box finish as we have seen a lot of success with some league bowlers adding polish to be able to hold their line a little longer into a league set or tournament block for those players who don’t have an entire arsenal. This ball has great shelf appeal and looks beautiful rolling down the lane.

Review:
This was a much anticipated release for multiple reasons. First, it is a part of the Road line, one of the GOAT lines in all of bowling. Second, it is the first in the line to feature the new A.I. core technology, and yes the technology actually DOES hit different! Third, this Road features the ReX cover, which is a banger! All of these blend together to form one of the premier benchmark balls in all of bowling in our opinion. We drilled this ball with our normal layout: tweener, 350-375 revs, 16.5mph, layout of choice is 4x4x2 (pin is above bridge). For us this ball is like an original HyRoad on steroids. It is a touch more responsive, a touch stronger, and probably a touch earlier. The Road series looks great on house patterns which is why we think you will see a lot of these going down the lane. It really is a new age house shot killer. This can be the first out of bag, second, even third in some cases. It is versatile, responds great to surface changes, and you truly cannot get this in your bag stronger.

We have been big fans of all the signature releases from Storm. The pro motion was a HUGE hit for our shop so we are glad to see a piece come out that compliments it so well. Similar to the long selling Hy-road Pearl, the Trend is predictable with quite the bite at the end. Expect to stand slightly more right than the Pro Motion with more length and backend motion. If you experienced some conditions where the Pro Motion could not carry those corner pins, then this would be the ball to go to without changing the line completely. Furthermore if you are a tournament bowler and you go deep in a set where carry down starts to become an issue then this ball will fill that gap without having to ball down or up and cross over lines that could be less forgiving and unpredictable. Oh, and it is a BELMO ball so why not try it out!?

If you didn’t get a chance to try out the original Trend, many did due to the release date and COVID shutdowns, you can jump right into the action with the Trend 2. Out of box this thing gets down the lane and HOOKS. It is a similar shape to the original Hy-Road, which as you know has been around for a long time because it is simply that good. This ball is a good mix of both bowlers and really fits any type of lane condition with some surface adjustments. If you get a chance to try this ball out it is a must, and it smells nice!

Cover: ReX™ Pearl Reacta Gloss Reactive
Weight Block: Shape-Lock™ HD Core (Asymmetrical)
Color: Blackout

Review:
The long awaited return of the Shape-Lock HD Core wrapped in the popular ReX cover (blackout version) has arrived! This ball has some serious shelf appeal with the old school all black look and really does smell delicious. We drilled this ball with our normal layout: tweener, 350-375 revs, 16.5mph, layout of choice is 4x4x2 (pin is above bridge). This ball is the ultimate move infinite left, throw right, watch it come back and strike kind of movement. Compared to the Dark Code this ball is cleaner through the fronts and more responsive on the backend. For this reason we see this ball being a bit more versatile for the ability to play further left longer if needed without leaving those flat 10s. Tournament bowlers will like this Pearl cover deep in sets and anyone who just likes to see the ball move will appreciate this piece. Another banger asym pearl from Storm!
