This was one of the best purchases I have ever made. I was at the point where any pins left to the right of the headpin were frustrating me. My 10 pin success rate went from just over 70% to between 93-96%. My score couldn't help but go up. The ball looks great doing it's job as well. The navy blue, gold and pearl look awesome going down the lane to pick up the spare. Thank you Brunswick for a GREAT spare ball

I love this ball. I was out of bowling for over 20 years. Rheumatoid arthritis and a spinal fusion I figured meant an end to my bowling days. As i got older my back was getting worse and my other joints were also starting to suffer. Spine surgeon and Arthritis Dr. agreed that something like bowling could lead to increased flexibility, decrease in joint stiffness and lower baseline pain levels. I was told to start with a 12 pound ball and work slowly up to 3 games twice a week. When it came time to purchase a ball for the first time in over 20 years I immediately looked at the Hammer line of balls, I was always a Hammerhead. When I saw This ball it was like seeing an old friend staring back at me. I purchased a 12 pound version and went to work. The ball is awesome. For a 12 pound ball it hits like a truck. The action is awesome and it moved like I remember only better. Even with a 12 pound ball I was quick to get my average up close to where it was back in the day. This ball started my road to recovery. I have since moved on to 14 pound balls (The highest docs are going to allow for me) but this ball stays in the bag. I bring it out when I am either struggling to control the hook on my more reactive ball or if my back is a little sore. This ball is still an important part of my league arsenal despite the light weight. The entry angle is perfect and despite that lower weight when I am in the pocket the pins scatter. I recommend this ball to bowlers of all levels who need a ball that is controllable and predictable. Do not confuse those words with week. This ball can cover boards and on THS this ball can be a great ball for you. Hammer still makes great balls after all these years. I spent 2 months using just this ball and after knocking the rust off I was able to get my average back up to around 180. I am higher now with heavier balls and a spare ball but I could not have gotten to where I am without my old, faithful friend. I like to call it Mjolnir(the name of Thor's Hammer) because it brings the thunder

WOW!!!I have been a Hammer-head for most of my life but a friend convinced me to look into MOTIV. I did a lot of research on the line of balls they offered and decided to try the Venom Shock. WOW!!!! I put a 70x40 @ 4" layout on it and this ball has amazing reaction when it gets to the dry. It hits with the perfect angle and with an amazing amount of power. My first game with the ball I threw my lifetime high of a 254. For a guy who does not bowl overly competitively I could not be happier. I think my new league arsenal is going to be MOTIV based. This ball is the perfect benchmark ball for me. I highly recommend this ball to anyone.
