Roto Grip - Dare Devil TRICK

Ready for a TRICK? This ball does is a ball that fits nicely into anyones bag. With the lightbulb core and very predictable motion, this ball allows you to play many different lines. The featured RECKLESS coverstock has bite. If you like the Dare Devil than you will love the TRICK. This ball is a great compliment to the pearl dare devil. Great ball to start in the oil with and as the lanes break down switch to the pearl. I drilled 2 of them, first one was 85x5x35 which allows the ball to get down lane and respond to the friction quickly for those inside lines, and it does exactly that. The second one I drilled 75x3 3/4x45 to give me a smoother look when you need to blend out that pattern and have a consistent look to the pocket. Both balls reacted exactly to how they were drilled. This will be a stronger benchmark ball but not too strong. Love the predictable motion with it and the consitentancy of the coverstock and weight block combination. Normally I dont throw a lot of solids due to me slower ball speed and 350 rims they tend to burn out faster on me, but this ball has done a very good job of giving me a solid ball that maintains some energy down lane and gives a strong but consistent look. This is a great ball!

The Hustle PBR is a ball that compliments the other Hustles and gives you the control and smooth shape like the Hustle line has. This ball has a very strong movement to the pocket with this VTC-S20 Coverstock. I drilled mine 45 x 5 x 65 and this is my weaker smoother layout. This ball definitely gives me the control that I am looking for when I am playing up the outside. With this layout the ball doesn’t flare a lot, and this ball doesn’t flare a lot in general, which gives it the control you are looking for. As for all the Hustles consistency and control play a huge factor. I find this ball is more effective on light to medium oil patterns. If you have a rev rate over 400 you will like this ball to blend out the pattern and give you that smooth controlled look. Pretty much any layout will work in this ball and give you what you are looking for. You wont be disappointed.

Roto Grip - Hypercell Fused

The HYPERCELL FUSED is fused with power. This asymmetric ball not only looks great featuring the the silver and purple look, but this ball hits hard. I throw 14lb and have mine drilled 30 / 4 1/2 / 50 with a P2 hole in it. My revs are about 350 rpm. Guys think its a 16lb ball the way it hits. Shot many series over 930+ with it already for 4 games. With the Hybrid cover it still gets through the heads, but allows for a good mid lane read, and then has a strong backend motion to it, but controllable. When it tractions up there is very little deflection which allow for maximum pin carry. I have bowled with this on many patterns and seem to find a look on most of them, making this ball very versatile. I am going to order another one given how good this ball is. Must have in your arsenal.

Just when you thought the Idol and the Idol pearl were amazing balls, then comes the IDOL SYNERGY! The blue wrapped with burgandy colours really look good going down the lane. This ball is outright amazing. The e-Trax Hybrid reactive coverstock took me by surprise. This ball has amazing backend reaction, and is very clean through the front part of the lane. The 3 Idols are great compliments to each other and distinctively have a shape of there own. So to own all 3, you would have 3 balls to cover a huge variety of patterns. I have drilled mine 4 3/4 x 5 1/4 x 4 1/4 two handed layout. As I continue to move left, this ball always recovers, and recovers with authority. I have also seen other layouts and the ball has serious backend. When I compare this to my Axiom Pearl with the same layout, I find the Idol has a bit more length through the fronts. The Axiom Pearl has a bit more midlane with the NEX Coverstock and needs a bit more oil. Even when the lanes seem to get dry and burn out the Idol Synergy doesn’t back down or disappoint. Put your favourite layout in it and you have a ball you will love.

ROTO GRIP - No Rules Exist
The NoRules Exist in Roto Grips high performance, HP4 lineup. The Chaotic core returns, wrapped in the new Reckless solid reactive cover. Generally I struggle with solid covers getting through the fronts and retaining enough energy for the backend due to my ball speed and rev rate. I drilled mine 55 / 4.25 / 40 and this ball clears the heads very very well. When the ball makes its move left, it is a strong one. I find with this drilling it clears the fronts waiting to sniff some dry and then its gone. Most solids roll very smooth for me and don’t allow me to get left with some swing because they lose energy and roll out. This ball does the opposite, you move left it still retains energy and still goes left. Even when I knocked the cover down to 1000 grit it never rolled out, just finished harder.…this is the ball to drill. Go see your shop guy and grab it up! Great release from Roto Grip and you won’t be disappointed. #ownit

The NO Rules Pearl lives up to the hype! I drilled mine 50/4/40. This asymetric ball not only looks great with the green and silver swirl, but it hits amazing. I have used it on house shots, tournament shots and I have been able to keep my angles tight or open the lane right up depending on the condition. My RPM are about 375 and this ball goes left at the break point. It never seems to lose much energy even when the lanes dry up. With the pearl coverstock it gets through the heads no problem. The carry and power it delivers is one of the strongest asym balls I have thrown. You need the ball to set up earlier, just stay behind it a little more and watch the reaction change. Its my go to ball when I lose consistency on the pattern with other balls. I find it is a ball where hand position and what you want to do with it, the ball reacts on demand. I ordered another one of these balls because hitting power like this is hard to beat. Must have ball!

OMG, can you say HOOK! The latest addition to the Cell line, the Nuclear Cell, will not disappoint those looking for a strong asymmetrical pearl. No matter really how you drill this ball, it comes out firing on all cylinders. For a pearl this ball opens up the lane and just when you think you have lost it to the right, it helps you out by flying back to the pocket. The Nuclear Cell will be a perfect step down ball off either a solid asymmetrical or stronger symmetrical when the lanes initially transition and a strong core yet clean cover is needed. I have personally found this ball to be a perfect gap filler in my arsenal on sport patterns for many reasons. It fits in nicely between the stronger solids and weaker pearls that will be used early on in squad blocks that will give the proper shape when those stronger solids are too early and the weaker pearls are not enough to turn the corner. I have drilled mine 60 x 3.75 x 25, which is my strong drilling, and it does not disappoint. I am going to drill another one 45 x 5 x 55 to compliment it for playing more outside. This is a ball you may want more then one, its just that good!!

I was excited to throw this ball. The new Rubicon has a brand new core, the Rondure. The design intent with this core, is to allow players to have the same motion without a balance hole. This ball definitely does that and more. This ball reminds me of a Alpha Crux or Code X, but this balls doesn’t slow down. In the ROTO Grip line I find the UFO is very angular and the IDOL was a bit too smooth at times. The Rubicon is a great blend of the two balls. This ball has a nice arch motion and very controllable and easier to read the reaction. I drilled mine 50 x 4 1/4” x 45. This is my medium/benchmark layout. This ball is awesome with this layout in it for me. When it makes the corner it doesn’t seem to quit. It also doesn’t seem to burn up as easily as most solids if they encounter too much friction up front. This ball will be great for low rev players as well as high rev players looking for more control. If I want to play up the boards or get in deeper this ball allows for both. This ball will work great on a lot of different patterns, but most importantly will be very consistent. Awesome Ball!

Talk about a big asymmetrical ball! It is here! The Roto Grip UFO. The UFO features the new E.T. Core with built in cavity to mimic the benefits of a weight hole. With an RG of 2.52, a differential of 0.054 and a PSA of 0.016 this ball will have no shortage of creating motion in the mid-lane and continuation down lane. The biggest thing I notice with this ball, is that for a strong solid, this ball surprising maintains a lot of energy for the backend. As a high track low tilt player, my ball covers a lot of surface area, therefore a lot of solids have a tendency to burn up energy too early for me. This ball has a great amount of continuation for me. When it makes its move left it is on a mission. Even when the lanes start to break down and burn up, this ball still hooks for a solid. The new MicroTrax cover stock is so workable. I have changed surfaces many times with it and it responds immediately to the changes. This is a must have strong ball and possible more than one with different drillings. Mine is currently drilled 45 x 3 3/4” x 25. Look no further if you need that strong ball in your bag!

Roto Grip has really come out with a nice ball here. Looks great with the USA red, blue and white colors, and reacts very well. Being in the HP2 line up this ball far exceeds expectations. My layout is 75/4 1/2"/40 and a small P3 hole. With that pin distance this gives the ball some length for me. The 40 val angle allows the ball to read the friction faster off the spot. I put a small P3 hole in it to just give it a little more over all strength. This ball gets clean through the front part of the lane and has lots left for the backend. Stronger then one might think and definitely reads midlanes well. I drilled this to fit underneath my DAREDEVIL and it compliments it nicely. The WRECKEM I would say goes about1-2 feet longer then my DAREDEVIL. Its a great ball for when the lanes break down and you need to get it down lane and still have strong reaction. Depending on your RPMS the ball works great right around the 15-8 board area. One of the best hooking balls on the market for the price, and can be drilled to fit in between many midrange balls.

The ALLROAD in the road series a very successful hyroad core wrapped with the hybrid reactive with NRG. The All road rolls a little early and reads the lane well but is smooth with low response down the lane. I drilled mine with a 3 3/4” pin and a 25 degree val angle. This ball is great for smoothing out the pattern and maintaining the control you need when the lanes get messy. I have loved the Hyroad Series, and this is by far the strongest cover in my opinion and smoothest. If you don’t have a lot of hand you will play more up the boards with this ball. The NRG it really blends out the overall motion.
Very good addition to the Hyroad line. As the Hyroad nano was a little too early and too strong the All road is much much better.

Talk about hard hitting! This ball has it. You would think it was an Asym it hits so hard. Storm has hit the jackpot with this ball. With the NEX Pearl Coverstock, this ball gets though the front part of the lane and when it turns the corner it makes a move like no other. I have drilled two of them. 60 x 3 3/4” x 25 and another one 50 x 4 1/4” x 45. This ball has a very strong forward roll. Hooks about 3-4 boards more then the TREND ball and the colors show the skid, hook and roll phaze very easily. This is a must have in your bag. When you need to get left this ball seems to not quit. Medium to high flare ball this ball drives with power. I throw 14lb and you would never know it. The way this ball launches pins is incredible. Reminds me of the Nuclear Cell as far as hitting power. You struggle with rev rate? Not to worry, it is very versatile to any style of bowler. You wont be disappointed with this ball!!

The CODE BLACK was a ball I was waiting to throw. Stonger asymetric ball with multiple different characteristics. I wanted a bit smoother drilling than I had in the Snap Lock, so I drilled the Code Black 45 / 4.25 / 40. I am a high track player with approx 375 rpm. This ball reads the mid lane amazingly and still gives me a smooth look with a continuous motion on the backend part of the lane. The R2S coverstock one of storms signature coverstocks proves again why it is so good. I have thrown this on house shots, sport shots etc and I can always find a line for it. Not only that but with forgiveness. Had many shots where I have had 3-4 boards target room and ball still faces up to the pocket. Very readable with different layouts. Very versatile in drilling layouts and changing the coverstock finishes. This is a must ball in your bag and will compliment many other Storm balls. If you don't have this ball, go buy it and you will wonder why you never bought it sooner.

The CODE RED lives up to the hype! I drilled mine 55/4.25/35 This asymetric ball not only looks amaizing with the rich red color, but it hits amazing. I have used it on house shots, tournament shots and I have been able to keep my angles tight or open the lane right up depending on the condition. My RPM are about 375 and this ball goes is smooth and continuous off the break point with the added touch of the Hybrid Cover. It never seems to lose much energy even when the lanes dry up. The carry and power it delivers is one of the strongest, smoothest asym balls I have thrown. It is a great compliment to the Code Black. You need the ball to set up earlier, just stay behind it a little more and watch the reaction change. Its my go to ball when I lose consistency on the pattern with other balls, or need to smooth out and blend the pattern. This is a must have in your bag. I drilled another one just for tournaments because of the versatility of this ball. Try one, you wont regret it!

What a good looking ball! Love the colors and the reaction is perfect if your looking for a ball when the lanes get burned up or just light oil. I drilled min 60 x 3 3/4” x 25 which is my strong drilling. I have a high track with a pap of 5 7/8” x 1” up. Being a higher RG ball and low diff, this ball makes the turn nicely. Even when the front part of the lane is dry, the ball still clears the heads for me and leaves lots of energy for the back. This is similar in RG and Diff as the IQ Emerald except the cover isn’t as strong but gives me a similar shape. I also found if I have to get left I still get the recovery I need. When my Hyroad pearl is still too much as I have to get left, I can move a bit right and throw the Electrify Pearl. Don’t understand estimate this ball as It is one for everyone to have in there bag. The Gravity Evolve is the latest of the SPEC Coverstocks, and this ball lives up to its hype. This ball reads the lane well even when lanes are breaking down and it seems to blend those lanes so well that it gives you the control you are looking for. With the SPEC Coverstock it doesn’t absorb oil as fast therefore maintaining a more consistent reaction. This ball is definitely the most shape we’ve seen out of the SPEC coverstock, which is a strong, early, and smooth cover, but the aggression of the core helps create a nice balance of strength and control. When I compare this ball to the CRUX Prime I find much more control off the end of the pattern. I have drilled 2 of these, one with a 3 3/4” pin and one with a 5” pin and the longer pin seems to work best for me on most patterns and the ball stands up nicely but continues to hit with amazing power even on shots that are not flush in the pocket. I highly recommend this ball as a strong ball in your bag that you can trust.

Storm - Hyroad Nano

The New HyRoad Nano has the Inverted FE2 Core which is the main stay of the HyRoad series of bowling balls. This legendary core is surrounded by the super aggressive NRG Solid Reactive coverstock. The aggressive strength of the HyRoad Nano is impressive. I am not a high rev player however my rpms are 325. PAP is 6 x 1 1/8 and I am a high track player. This ball is smooth for me given the strength of the coverstock. Blends a pattern very well a lot like the IQ Tour. I find I can’t too left with this ball or it doesn’t recover for me, however if I tighten my angles more it hits great. I have polished mine a little bit to get it down lane a little easier and that definitely strengthens the backend motion. This is a ball that will stay in my bag for multiple patterns especially when they are tough to read. Must have ball for tournaments for sure.

Storm HYROAD X

As we couldn't for this release the HYROAD X has lived up to its hype. As with all the Hyroads, this ball is very predictable with its reaction, yet this one adds a little more punch. With the RG being 2.57, this ball for me gets down lane a bit more than I thought it would for a solid coverstock. But when it makes its move left it doesn't disappoint. I have drilled 2 of these balls with the following layouts. 4 1/4" x 45 and 3 1/2" x 35. The 4 1/4" ball I left the stock polished finish, and the 3 1/2" I have brought down to 2000 grit. With the 3 1/2" layout and the coverstock at 2000, this gets the ball to start up earlier to create a smoother move to the pocket in oil. My specs are 6 1/8 x 1" up, 300 rpm with 75 deg axis angle and 10 deg of tilt. I have used on multiple patterns and this is a great bench mark ball to help with getting a read on the lanes for your first couple shots, and then go up or down in strength of ball from there. This ball along with all the Hyroads is a must have in the bag. Whether you play once in a while on house shots or your tournament enthusiast, you will love this ball!

STORM - INTENSE

This ball is definitely INTENSE! This ball features a new, pearl R3S coverstock with modified RAD core known as RAD e. The R3S coverstock has a little larger “footprint” (more of the surface of the ball contacts the lane) so you will see a lot stronger motion “off the spot.” Combine this with the new RAD e core (modified RAD core) and you have a ball that has a very aggressive angle of entry into the pocket.
I drilled mine 70/4/70 and my other one 70/4/30. My PAP is 6” and up 1/8”.
This ball has a strong reaction no matter how it is drilled I have noticed. It comes off the spot strong and hits hard. My first drilling is to tame it down a bit and get it smoother off the back and it works awesome. My second drilling allows the ball to get down lane and corner hard off the spot. This ball for me keeps the pins low and explosive. It also works well with the cover being knocked down a little with a 3000 grit pad and smooths the backend out nicely. Any style of bowler can throw this, and especially bowlers that struggle with getting the ball to hook this ball helps a lot with that. This is a ball that is a must have, and everyone that watches it wants one. Strong and explosive is the best way to describe this ball! You won’t be disappointed.

When you say IQ, everyone is going to pay attention. One of the best balls in the business and been around for a long time. As most people have a IQ TOUR or more than one, now you have a great compliment. The Nano cover gives this ball a but more punch still maintaining the consistency. The IQ Tour Nano Pearl has mutiple traits of smoothness, arcing and now with the added punch at the end. There is no quit in this ball. It felt as if I could find the pocket from anywhere on the lane. I have drilled mine 50 x 4 1/4” x 45 which gives it a medium flare and great arcing motion. Storm has had some great benchmark balls and must have balls for tournaments and travel, and this is another one to add to the list. This ball allows you to keep your lines tighter if needed or open up the lane and have no quit. Regardless how you drill this ball you will like it. Awesome ball which will stay around for a long time. Order yours now, you wont be disappointed!

Couldn’t wait for this one to come out! A sanded pearl! $$$ The Omega Crux, the newest release in the Primier line. The Omega Crux uses the new GI-20 Pearl Cover wrapped around the Catalyst Core. The new GI-20 Pearl cover helps get the Omega Crux to clear the fronts well but it still has that strong and continuous arc that is known from the Catalyst Core. The layout I used in mine was 45 x 4.25 x 40. This gives the ball a chance to read the mids well and still has great backend motion. Excellent compliment to the Crux balls. I wasn’t a huge fan of the Crux Prime for myself as it was very jumpy off the spot, but the Omega is not. Strong motion but controllable. The Crux definitely wants oil on the lane to perform at its best but a must have in the bag as it blends out patterns as well. You will not be disappointed with this ball.

The Parallax is the newest ball from Storm with a unique Aero Flo weight block. Traction X7 Hybrid is the cover and compliments it nicely. ....I drilled mine 50 x 4 1/4” x 45 and I was very happy with the ball reaction. I compared it to my Astro Physix which I drilled the same. What I see is the Parallax is about 3-4 feet earlier on the lane and has more of a hook stop motion. The Astro Physix was longer down lane and smoother through the pin deck. Given the new Aero Flo weight block, it implements older style drilling’s with balance holes. This ball is fun to throw and can play so many areas of the lanes depending on your rev rate. You will love this ball, and its a great ball for tougher conditions, as when it makes the corner it doesn’t let you down. If your looking for a reliable pearl Asym this is your ball. Check it out today, you will love its reaction and versatility!

I was waiting this release and knew it was going to be a good one. As the Phase 2 has been a benchmark ball for a majority of bowlers I was very excited for the Phase 3. The Phaze III is an R3S Hybrid Reactive Coverstock wrapped around the original core found in the Phaze II. The overstock is the same as on the Intense Fire. This ball fills the gab between the Phaze II and the Hyroad line for me. When the Phaze II starts to get a little lazy down the lane and leave some corner pins; the Phaze III is the answer. It gets through the front part of the lane and continues to maintain energy when the lanes start to breakdown and force you to get farther inside and create more angle. This ball has to be one of the best benchmark hybrid pearls to ever come out on the market. I have drilled 2 of these balls and neither one has disappointed me on multiple conditions. My drillings are 45 x 3 3/4” x 25 and 45 x 5” x 55. With these 2 layouts I have a huge range of conditions I can use this ball on. Such a huge compliment to the Phaze 2 and a must have in your bag!!!

Storm PHYSIX - defines reaction!

The PHYSIX is a ball that is truly legit when it comes to motion. With the amazing core and hybrid cover stock this ball has multiple options and entry angles, and yes you have to ask yourself if its legal. That's what you think when you throw it and see the reaction along with the pins exploding. My specs are 300 rpm, PAP - 6 x 1up, 70 deg axis rotation, 10 tilt. For me with my specs I have a very high track which will cause the ball to read earlier, however my axis rotation being at 70 deg helps push balls down lane, sometimes further than I would like. I drilled mine 50 x 4 1/4 x 35. The PHYSIX is a ball that depending on what surface you use, can do whatever you like and still hit hard. I have thrown on PBA and house shots and can find a line on both that gives me forgiveness. Compared to the Code X, this ball will grab the friction a bit sooner and has a stronger motion on the backend. It does like oil, but even with less oil and a tighter line you can see a consistent reaction. You can adjust the surface without fear of losing its reaction like some balls. It truly is a great ball and can fit all styles of bowling. Drill the ball for the shape you want and then adjust the surface to what fits your style of play or lane condition and you wont be disappointed. Its a strong ball that you can trust on those tough conditions.

The Pitch Purple is AWESOME!. As a 300 rpm rev player I am never able to throw a urethane, however from what I saw after throwing the Pitch Purple I will definitely have it in my bag for those shorter length sport patterns. The biggest thing I notice is that it is continuous on the backend. Most urethanes I have thrown just roll out right away and I cant get them down lane. The Pitch Purple is like a low end reactive ball with more controllable back end. It is great on medium to dry lane conditions. For me I have to play more up the outside, but doesn’t seem to quit down lane. I have mine drilled 45 x 4.25 x 40, which gives me a lot of versatility. If you have trouble with regular urethane balls this one is for you. You wont be disappointed with this one.

Seeing the release of this ball I was excited to get this one drilled up. I drilled mine 65 / 4 1/4" / 45 - P3x Hole. This ball not only looks great going down the lane due to the dynamic colors, but this ball hooks off the spot harder than any other ball I have thrown. You get deep in oil it still finds a way to finish. You bump the dry on the outside and look out because this ball is going left (if your right handed) very hard. It has a strong and large core, but still clears the heads and gets down lane. One of the most favorite asymetrical balls out there. You want a ball that hooks and gives you mutliple playing options for different styles of releases, get the SNAP LOCK, you wont regret it!

Well what can I say.... The ball has an amazing appearance and looks great with the gold accent. I drilled 2 of these balls. 1st ball - 80/4 1/4"/35, 2nd ball - 75/3 7/8"/50. I wanted one to set up later and then one to read the lane earlier. Both balls get through the heads very easily for a hybrid cover, and maintain lots of energy for the backend. The TIMELESS has a very controllable motion through the midland and backend. My first game out of the box I shot 287 and had lots of room with Drilling #2. Even if I missed my target by a board or two, it still maintained control through the pocket. Light hits which I was sure would leave a 10 pin never did. With the DUAL weight blocks you can see how hard the ball hits and continues through the pocket. The best Hybrid I have ever thrown. Very versatile on many conditions. I have thrown it on house, and sport shots and been able to line up and create a great look. If your looking for control and lots of hitting power the TIMELESS is your ball.

The TORRENT is one of the most controllable balls I have thrown. With Storms famous R2S Cover stock and large weight block you get power and control together. I drilled mine 90 / 3 3/4" / 70. This is a pin down and to the right of the ring finger, which gives control as well. Ball is perfect to start a block with fresh oil as it is very good to blend out the reaction so its not to sharp. When lanes break down I still found the ball would maintain continuation through the pocket. Ball can be thrown on a variety of patterns and give you the power and control all in one. Works the best if you keep your angles tighter and control the pocket. Fits well between my Alpha Crux and my Phaze II. Must have in your arsenal especially on challenge and sport patterns for tournaments.

The latest Signature ball of Jason Belmonte is here and it is a really good one. Drilling some of the past Belmo equipment I have had a hard time getting them to work well for me, as my rev rate is 330. But this ball is a gem. Wrapped with the infamous R2S Pearl Reactive coverstock which is a proven success. The Piston Block core adds tremendous punch to this ball. I drilled mine 60 x 3 1/2” x 25 and it rolls amazing. If you like the Hyroad Pearl, IQ Emerald this ball compliments them perfectly being stronger. This ball turns the corner and keeps on going, having the best cover stock in the business this ball will stay around for a long time. Play up the boards or get inside the coverstock creates huge consistency and the core has all the power you need. Probably 3-4 boards less hook then the Axiom Pearl, and 5-6 boards stronger then the IQ Emerald. This ball is a must have in your bag and a great bench mark ball! You wont be disappointed in this Signature gem!
