When you think of the first ball out of your bag every time you bowl, you think of something on the stronger side of the scale, smooth enough to give you the right read and something you can count on to go through the pins the right way. I've found all of those things to be true with the Cyborg. If you have drilled any of the recent Track releases you are familiar with how aggressive the Paradox is and how smooth the Legion Solid is. If you blend those two ideas together you get the Cyborg. Strong and smooth and the perfect ball to get your tournament session or league night going.

The cleaner benchmark ball. The Cyborg, for me, is a "first ball out of the bag" type of ball. The Pearl has been really good for the transition when I need that extra length. For me, the box surface was a little too clean, I knocked it down to 4000 without polish and it came to life a little more for me. I don't see it as versatile as the Cyborg, but it definitely deserves a place in the bag, especially when bowling on more friction.

My first impression of the Mako was a amazement. I wasn't really sure what to expect coming out with it on a THS. I fed the first few shots into the friction and it stood up quick and rolled through the pins without rolling out. I moved in and kept the ball in the puddle and it gave me some extra length but still stood up the right way. I've not seen a ball consistently go through the pins in the right way and get the corners out on a regular basis as I have with the Mako. I'm very much looking forward to using this ball everywhere I go.

The 5th edition of the Paradox line stands alone. The strongest pearl cover that has been put around the iCore 2.0 makes this the easiest Paradox to open the lane up with. I've been able to throw this in my sport league and throw it to the friction and allow it to come off the spot with a ton of energy. I have struggled a bit with it on THS simply because I don't have the oil in the front part of the lane to allow the ball to get to where it needs to be with the strength it has. If you have some volume in the front and mid part of the lanes you can use the Paradox V to really get it and open up your angles.

The benchmark. I fell in love with this ball at first sight. Then I put holes in it, threw it and fell in love again. The ball just does what it is supposed to do, no thrills, no surprises, just good solid ball roll and consistent reaction. I've got a ton of games on mine already and haven't seen the slightest of difference in ball motion. I would recommend this ball to anyone that needs a bowling ball... it's that simple.
