I used the 2000 abralon and factory finish on my Brunswick Fury bowling ball, just like this site recommended but I left out the rough buff unintentionally. Didn't get a chance to practice but started league on fresh oil, pretty nice back ends.
I average in the 190's in 2 leagues, but the absolute first time using this ball I shot a 683. Should have been mid 700 but I hadn't figured out what to do with the Fury when the lanes began seriously evaporating in the third game.
Can't wait for my next chance to use the Fury this week. On first use, I can say that with the #2 pattern, throwing medium-high oil with medium revs at 16 mph estimated near the pins, standing at 25, rolling through 12 to about 8 the Fury was very consistent, more of an arc with great follow through than a skid/flip. The lack of ten pins was dramatic, though I did get two when I switched to standing at 30. I moved up six inches and the 10's disappeared. This is a very impressive ball.

No Mercy is, as an earlier poster claimed, an "interesting" ball. You can ignore the flat-out praise or condemnation of earlier posts; how the Hammer No Mercy bowling ball will affect your own personal game is not that easy to gauge.
First, the ball IS rev-sensitive. Two players in my league with high revs, one a 175 average and one a 225 average, have not bowled under 680 this last month with their No Mercy. You can tell by the movement of the ball and the carry that it perfectly fits their high rev, medium speed games. Another high speed but low revver in our league has been less consistent but he's getting an amazing amount of off-center strikes. One night I jammed my index finger and was bowling a similar high speed and slow rev sort of loopy roll and also got all those off center strikes, ending up right at 650. So, yes, the ball will function well at high speed, with or without many revs but off-center is almost better than dead-on. And, yes, the ball reaction diminishes quickly over time. I clean mine after each use, but at 50 games it definitely has lost that last 5 feet of dominating left hand shift. There are lots of bowlers in both my leagues still using the No Mercy, and looking at all of them, I can see good results, best for medium rev and high rev bowlers, less for low speed bowlers.

As usual, bowlingball.com delivered me a high performance ball in exactly the condition and weight I requested. My first game out of the box with no additional surface preparation was 278 on a fairly difficult shot, by far the best game of all the 200+ bowlers who bowl in our men's league, which is about half of the 60 bowlers.
Can't wait for my second league this week on a fresh house shot!

A friend in my league bought the Storm Storm Shift bowling ball the day it was released. Unfortunately, the drilling was a little wide in the thumb for him so he let me borrow it for my fill ball in the 10th frame of the first game. I didn't give it back, starting a string of strikes that went deep into my second game. The overall hook is not impressive, but the length IS and the last 8 feet definitely IS. Another friend borrowed the ball on Monday and bowled a 300. He's fast, high rev, while I was bowling fast, lower rev.
