Black balls always roll best...I drilled this ball with a 5" pin to PAP x 3" MB to PAP x 4" pin buffer.

So...I was excited, but skeptical about this one at the same time. I haven't LOVED Gear APG Core balls as much as others (i.e. Blue Coral Venom, Venom Recoil). They were more situational for me, but have been GREAT for many others, so I thought about changing up the layout to something I have never used.

I thought that this would be a great layout because the weaker pin and longer pin buffer would help the ball float more through the front of the lane and not be too forward too early. The lower differential and asymmetry allowed me to use a stronger MB to ensure that the ball tips over and be very controlled downlane.

WOW...this thing made the BEST impression on me of any ball I've ever thrown, regardless of any manufacture. Whatever the R&D team did with the new Leverage MFS cover around the Black Venom just made this ball magical. First game out of the box...300. It allows me to play straighter and blends the wet/dry on house nicely. On sport patterns, it's GREAT because it's something that allows me to control the pocket, and still goes through the pins.

I'll definitely be drilling multiples of this one.

Many of us have been waiting for it, and everyone in Muskegon made it happen. With the tremendous success and rave the Infusion Pearl has gotten on the balls it's already been featured on, the Fatal Venom adds to that list. The Infusion Cover is our cleanest, and most responsive cover that gets through beat up fronts with ease. The best time I've seen this ball used for me is at the end of a tournament when I need to get left and need a ball that can respond hard enough downlane and still gets through the pins. This ball has instantly become one of my favorites and has seen a ton of lane time for me because of how consistent it is and truly feels like great compliment to the Venom Shock, which is my favorite ball in the bag. Whenever I keep moving left with the Shock and it stops cornering, the Fatal Venom is the first ball I go to and is the perfect compliment to the Shock! It's cleaner, more responsive and can handle more angle when the Shock is too much.

As clean as this ball is, it's unlike most cleaner balls where it can sometimes shoot past the breakpoint. The lower RG gear core makes sure the ball picks up soon enough, but the lower diff and stable ball roll through the fronts ensures that the ball still retains enough energy to get down the lane for the perfect balance of skid, and flip down the lane.

This ball is going to go with me everywhere and will be a favorite for league bowlers bowling on house shots, as well as tournament bowlers like myself that will benefit from using this ball later in blocks. It's not a ball that is only good for one style, anyone with any style is going to love this ball!

When I first drilled my Iron Forge, I had a preconceived idea of what it might do with the core and cover combination. Infusion MVP in my opinion is our fastest responding cover formula down lane and it was featured on the Ripcord Velocity. The Velocity for me was amazing when the lanes got beat up and I needed something super clean and really angular for when I moved further left. At times, I felt I needed to make the Velocity start, which got me out of my comfort zone because I felt I needed to do too much with my hand.

This is where the Iron Forge fits PERFECTLY in our line. The Iron Forge fits perfectly between balls like the Pride, and our cleaner balls like the Velocity as an option for transition games when you need something cleaner, but still need the get the ball to start up. The stronger Detonator Core in the Forge series really helps the ball pick up earlier than a Velocity, but is a much cleaner option for when you need to shell down to get your ball through the fronts.

To start....this ball just flat out hooks. If you need a ball that'll hook on some of the slickest conditions, look no further than the Jackal Legacy. Featuring the proven Predator V2 weightblock found in the Jackal series, the Legacy has the Coercion MXC Solid cover wrapped around it that was previously featured on the Forge Flare. Coercion MXC is the strongest cover that Motiv has ever produced. Wrapping it around the proven core results in unmatched performance on heavier oil patterns.

My favorite part about the Legacy is that it's a stronger ball that you can still move left with and the ball will still go through the pins.

Hands down....PRIDE is my favorite release of 2021. It was close between this and the Purple Tank, but this ball has gone with me everywhere since it was released. When MOTIV has said that this ball is the ultimate benchmark ball, they really mean it. It's worked on a variety of patterns for me and in the short time that the ball has been released, I've already drilled 3 different ones. The difference in shapes is really different in each one and you can drill it to do whatever you want and it does anything and everything extremely well!

The new Dominion Core and the Coercion UCS Cover bridges the gap between the Jackal line and Venom line absolutely perfectly and is the definition of what a benchmark ball should be. On top of that, the logo and colors of this ball in person are absolutely stunning. Pictures online don't do the ball justice until you see it in person. Shout out to the R&D team in Michigan for their awesome work developing this ball!

The Pride line is back, and better than ever. The new Pride Dynasty features the same cover from the Black Venom, the Leverage MFS coverstock. This coverstock paired with the driller friendly Dominion core found in all of the previous Prides before it, provides a stronger benchmark option when Jackal type balls are too strong, but still need a strong option for the fresh.

Being a BIG fan since it’s release, I’ve religiously carried an original Pride with me everywhere I’ve gone. Having the Dynasty as a stronger option that can handle more oil excites me to put this in the bag!

The Pride Empire is a ball that I know will be getting a lot of time for me during garbage time. The new Propulsion Pearl Coverstock, wrapped around the proven Dominion Core that was featured on the original Pride has the perfect combination of length/backend and control.
I drilled mine with my standard 4.5 x 4.5 x 2.75 layout which puts the pin above my bridge and mass bias to just the right of the thumb. Having thrown it several times now, I’ve noticed that it reminds me of a stronger version of my original Supra which I LOVED and it made me very excited to use in the future. I don’t foresee myself using this ball much on the fresh, unless the surface has a lot of built in friction to it.
This ball is going to shine during transition and is clean enough to use deep into tournament blocks. Get yours in your local Motiv Maniac Pro Shop today!

The name says it all, it’s both of those reactions in a single ball. Wrapped around the proven Impulse V2 core from the Primal Series and some Supras is the proven cover from a ball you may have heard of….the Venom Shock. The Venom Shock has been a staple in the Motiv line for years and marrying these two components from two proven balls is what you would expect.

The difference between the Venom Shock and Primal Shock for me personally is that the Primal digs more in the oil and I’m able to use the ball to control the lane more front to back because of the higher DIFF. Despite the lower RG in the Venom Shock, I have it as a cleaner option because of how stable the ball is through the front because of the lower flaring core.

I’d say the Primal Shock is one of the most versatile balls I’ve thrown in the Motiv line in a while. I’d recommend it to anyone as a great benchmark option to fit in the middle of the bag!

With the game constantly evolving, a good urethane ball and knowing how to use it has become an essential ball in everyone's bags. I'm a huge fan of urethane and use it when I can and if you don't have a Purple Tank in your bag, you're absolutely missing out.

I've used my Purple Tank a lot on fresher patterns when there's a ton of oil up front and the back ends are flying. The Purple Tank reads a lot sooner than the reactive balls, taming the back end of the pattern down, but still packs plenty of punch for the pins. Everyone needs one of these!

I loved my original supra, but at times, I would get it into the oil and the cover wouldn't be strong enough and never pick up. The Infusion Hybrid reactive cover fits that gap perfectly for me and has become my new go to ball if I need something that gets through the fronts with ease, but still packs plenty of punch on the backend that's consistent and reacts the same every time.

If you're in need of a ball later on in the day when the lanes are toasty and you need to get left and create angle with a faster response ball, look no further than the Supra Enzo

The Trident Horizon is the newest asymmetric ball in MOTIV's line of products and it sure doesn't disappoint. What I love most about this ball is that the Coercion MXC formula is strong enough to use on the fresh of heavier patterns, but the sidewinder core used in the Trident series allows the ball to retain enough energy to corner and still get through the pins as you move left during the duration of a block. Having this ball in your 6 ball arsenal is essential because this ball can do it all and is extremely versatile and can cover a variety of ball motions.

By far one of the most versatile balls I've thrown recently. It'll be a ball that I'll be taking with me everywhere! If you would like to, please check out my review of the Horizon on YouTube. The ball still kept trucking through the pins as I kept moving left!

The invasion is a super strong ball, but after 75 games bowling with it, the ball wasn't reacting the same. I'm a stroker so I had my feet at about 18 and aiming at 10, but now I'm at 13 and still aiming at 10. It's a great ball, but the overstock just seems like it wears out much faster than other bowling balls. I would recommend this ball to any bowler because you hook it a lot, you could use it on a long pattern, and you could even use then on short patterns. Great ball!
