This ball is the latest high end asymmetric ball from 900 Global. It has a great color combination. The low RG and high differential are going to make this an incredibly strong ball. This going to a ball you can really Bank on.

The Bank Roll is a new high performance release designed for higher oil volumes. This ball features a new sanding procedure call neat with this ball finished surface being similar to 1000 abralon. The Bank Roll uses their lowRG/high differential self righting core (SRC) covered by a S76 shell that will provide a bigger footprint in the oil. This ball will provide a strong continuous down lane move with the most overall hook by 900 Global.

900 Global's Bounty Hunter Pearl is designed as a compliment the original Bounty Hunter. This ball features a lower R.G. core and new S72 pearl shell designed to produce a more skid snap ball motion than the original Bounty Hunter. This is a great choice if you want a ball to get through the front part of the lane and have strong response to the friction at the end of a oil pattern.

The Jewel from 900 Global is the first ball in a number of years designed specifically for women. This ball uses a high RG core (2.54) with a high differential (.051) and milder cover (S65) to create a long and strong ball motion. Women will love the length this ball generates and its strong revving down lane that allows the Jewel to drive through the pins with ease.

The 900 Global Link s30 is a entry level ball designed for someone who wants to try a reactive ball for the first time or a competitive bowler looking to add a piece to their arsenal. The Link s30 has asymmetric properties which help give this ball a harder back-end motion than other balls in this same category. This ball is good performance at a value price.

900 Global’s Raw Profit delivers a heavy roll with a strong continuous back end. The Profit with the S70 solid cover uses a lowered the RG and raised differential to for better traction in oil. The eye catching purple/orange ball has a distinctive look as it travels down lane. The Raw Profit and the Profit will compliment each other very well.

The Wisdom is a new mid-performance release from 900 Global. This ball uses a milder cover (S65) and a high RG (2.54) symmetric core with medium differential (.041) so that it will match up for bowlers with slower ball speeds. The Wisdom’s core and cover combination provides excellent length and a strong predictable ball motion down lane.

AMF’s new affordable performance is called the Grip. This ball has a low RG/ high differential double cross core (2.487/.051) which gives this ball a strong predictable ball motion. The F64 cover is sanded to 2000 abralon to handle higher oil volumes but can be sanded smoother and polished for lighter oil volumes.

The OMG! uses a very aggressive sanded cover to help it grip in heavy oil. This ball uses the same core that was in the AMF Shredder which is a high Rg/ low differential core. If you want to see the ball hook this is a good choice. To maximize this ball's performance make sure that you use it on higher volume oil patterns.

The new OMG! Pearl with the F73 cover is a upper mid performance ball. This ball has a high RG core (2.57) which allows this ball to get down the lane before making a strong move to the pocket. The black/yellow contrasting colors give this ball a unique look as it travels down lane towards the pins.

The Anaconda is the first ball in the Advanced Performance to use the Activator Plus cover. Activator Plus cover is more aggressive than the original Activator cover but still maintains the durability and longevity of ball reaction that is the staple of the Activator coverstock family. The pearl version of Activator Plus cover is finished with 500 siaair pad and rough-buff polish allowing the the Anaconda to create more traction in the oil, increasing the ball’s mid-lane roll and back-end hooking action, while still being cleaner through the front.The Anaconda uses an updated version of the Original Inferno core. This Ultra Low RG core revs quickly providing mid-lane traction with a strong predictable back-end.This ball matches up well to medium and medium-oily conditions for a variety of bowling styles.

I used a 45X4 3/4X70 dual angle layout so that I could create moderate length and a more controlled ball motion. I was try to compare this ball with my Wild Ride (has the same dual angles). What I saw was that the Anaconda and the Wild Ride were both very clean in the front but the Anaconda read the mid-lane stronger and had a slower response to the friction at the end of the pattern. Though the Anaconda had a smoother ball motion the continuation through the pins was very strong. The Anaconda handled the lane transitions well and I was able to stay with this ball for an entire league set with out sacrificing any carry. This is a must ball for those looking to add a strong, predictable ball motion to their arsenal.

Brunswick Avalanche Urethane

Brunswick's newest affordable performance ball is the Avalanche Urethane. The Avalanche uses a pearl retro Urethane coverstock. This cover generates extra length and a very predictable ball motion. This Avalanche is designed for lighter amounts of oil and a straighter line to the pocket. As in all the Avalanches so far this ball also uses the successful Teal Rhino Pro weight block which has a simple light bulb shape.

I was looking forward to drilling this ball ever since I heard it was being released. I decided to use one of my favorite layout 45X4 1/2X70 with a P3 hole. This drilling allowed me to move right and square up my line to the pocket. I was able to stay right up against the track area during the entire set. I will say it was a little touchy at the start (not really designed for this) but the performance only got better as the night progressed. This ball will work very well on short and light volume patterns. The Urethane Avalanche will be a fine addition to my tournament arsenal as it would be for anybody that chooses to drill one up.

Brunswick C (System) alpha-max

The newest addition to the C System line is the Alpha Max. The alpha-max cover stock uses a higher concentration of the Chemical Friction Technology additive in order to make this the strongest C System ball to date. This ball creates more traction due to the cover rather than the weight block. The cover stock allows the Alpha Max to skid through the front of the lane thus allowing for more energy on the back end. This cover stock is wrapped around the I Block asymmetric cover to allow for more versatility in drilling and strong movement through the pins.

I have had my Alpha Max For a few weeks and have tested with different finishes, but the manufacture's finish seems work best with the layout I chose to use (50X 5 1/2X70). This ball is amazing on the fresh THS giving a tremendous amount of forgiveness down lane because it recovers from just about anywhere. As the night progresses and the track area starts to open sometimes a wet/dry condition develops (depending on who I am bowling against) but with this ball I was able to move deeper and still maintain the strong recovery without over reaction to the developing friction. I have not had a ball this strong be so forgiving and maintain its down lane energy for the entire 3 game set. I truly believe that the Alpha Max will fit into any bowlers arsenal. Congratulations to Brunswick on a masterpiece of a ball.

Brunswick's new C System 2.5 uses a new Coverstock CFT 2.5. The coverstock's chemistry was uniquely designed to have shaped molecular structures that produce a high coefficient of friction. Because of the shape of the molecule, when the ball goes into rolling friction, which occurs at the back part of the lane, slippage is eliminated and the ball will give you maximum entry and carry.The C System 2.5 Core is called I-Block. The new I-Block core was engineered specifically for the CFT 2.5 coverstock to create maximum forgiveness, strong angles along with versatile drilling layouts. Ball Motion: With its 4000-grit micro pad finish, the C-(System) 2.5 will provide good length with a strong continuous backend reaction that matches up on medium to oily lane conditions for a wide range of bowling styles.

I drilled mine 45 X 5 X 65 with no hole using 4000 micro pad and factory finish polish. I was expecting the ball to be weaker than my Siege that has the same layout, but what I got was a big surprise. The C System handled the oil just as well as my Siege but gave me more angle in the back. It seemed to come back from anywhere on our THS. I have played around with this ball for a few weeks now and it seems that no matter how deep on the lane I go this ball recovers strong and drive through the pocket over powering the pins from any angle.

The latest addition to the Chemical Friction Technology balls is the C System 4.5. The C System 4.5 cover has a lower friction factor than the 3.5 which allows it to generate more length through the heads and mid-lane without giving up the quick response and strong traction on the back-end. The 4.5 is powered by the new I–Block symmetric core which is a modification of the the original asymmetric I–Block core. Brunswick created an asymmetric base with an asymmetric flip block on perpendicular axis. The two asymmetrical pieces work together making the core shape symmetric. The core was thinned down and stretched to raise the min RG but maintain a strong differential.

I drilled my 4.5 with a dual angle of 55X5X35 so that I could create good length and a strong move to the pocket. What I got was awesome. This ball was clean through the front and mid part of the lane but had a very quick response at the end of the pattern. This ball allowed me to keep my moves minimal during the night and never lost its strong backend move.. I must say this piece has a great ball motion with plenty of pop down lane and tremendous carry. Congrats to Brunswick for another great ball.

Its STRIKING APPEARANCE and DEADLY ball reaction make this is the ball for those people who think that a ball has to be a high priced ball in order to handle heavy oil.It does not tend to burn up early (like some high priced balls do), has a strong mid lane roll, and a very controllable move towards the pocket. People with high ball speeds and low rev rates will benefit by having this ball in their bag. I love to throw this ball on fresh THS and some of the longer PBA patterns and find it hard to put away some times because I feel that I can strike every time that the ball is in my hands.

The latest addition to the Advanced Performance line is the Damage. This ball uses PowrKoil 18 which is a proven cover in the bowling industry. The aggressive nature of this cover allows the Damage to work in the oil and have strong response to the dry. The Damage uses a new, larger pearl additive that creates more vivid colors and provides length and back end reaction. The Damage uses a new high RG performance core that provides easy length through the heads and mid-lane while maintaining axis rotation for a strong continuous back end motion.
After a few successful weeks with the Wicked Siege I decided to drill my Damage with a 30X5X70 dual angle layout. I was looking for this ball to read the lane a little sooner so I could compliment my Wicked Siege. This ball was a perfect fit because it read the front and mid part of the lane stronger and had a more controlled motion at the break point. I now have 2 ball that will compliment each other very well during the remainder of my league season.

Brunswick's latest addition to their Advanced Performance line is the Diamondback. The original Activator coverstock used on the Diamondback is a formula that provides proven downlane recovery, longevity of ball reaction and unprecedented durability. This ball uses the Brunswick Rocket core, providing a low RG core that when combined with the original Activator coverstock produces a ball reaction that is clean through the front with an aggressive move at the breakpoint.

I drilled my Diamondback 60x5 1/2x65 to create a smooth continuous ball motion that will even out over/under that sometimes develops in THS and some of the shorter PBA patterns. I tested the Diamondback on a THS of 39 feet. The ball performed amazing because it gave me great control in the mid lane without over hooking down lane. Even though I drilled this ball for control but it still had tremendous continuation through the pins and awesome pin carry. I give this ball a strong recommendation for anybody looking tame down over/under lane conditions.

Brunswick Evil Siege

Brunswick's newest addition to the Siege line is the Evil Siege which uses Propel Pearl coverstock developed to improve the mid-lane and backend traction of the ball on today's slicker oils and lane surfaces. The Evil Siege is also equipped with the MACE core which has some major benefits to aid in the Evil Siege's performance first a ultra-low RG core system to engage the Propel Pearl coverstock, next a high RG differential to aid in traction through heavy oil, and finally a high RG asymmetric differential to quicken the response time to friction. The MACE core is dynamically the strongest asymmetric core ever produced for a Brunswick ball.

I was looking for a ball to complement my Siege drilled 45x5x70 so I drilled the Evil Seige 45x5 1/2x70 to get more length and a similar ball motion to my original Siege. The Evil Siege performed better than expected by giving me the extra length I was looking for, but still having a quick response to the friction. This ball is not a typical skid-snap ball, although this ball has a great deal of angle on the backend it is still very predictable. I have had this ball out on our fresh house shot as well as a left over shot from the night before. On the fresh this ball was great allowing me to start closer to the track area while giving me more recovery from farther right creating a strong angle to the pocket and explosive pin carry. On the left over shot I was about 15 boards left of were I was on the fresh. The Evil Siege had tremendous recovery and drove through the pins as strong as it did on the fresher shot. This could become my next favorite Brunswick ball.

Brunswick's new high performance ball is the Loaded Revolver. This Ball uses the Propel X cover which is also on the Wicked Siege. This cover provides extra consistency from shot to shot and versatility on a variety of lane conditions. The Jack core used in this ball as well as the Revolver is a low RG symmetric core with a high differential. The combination of this cover and core delivers a ball motion that is clean in the front part, a strong mid-lane reaction, and then makes a quick continuous move in the down lane friction.

I wanted to use the Loaded Revolver as a compliment to my Wicked Siege.
I used a 45X5 1/2x35 on this ball so that the ball had a little more dynamic core angle than my Wicked. It was a perfect addition to balls I currently use during league play because when I put my Wicked away for the night this ball picked up the slack. The Loaded Revolver went longer and had strong continuous back end move creating awesome pin carry for the later part of the night. The Loaded Revolver is definitely a ball that should be in your arsenal.

Being a big fan of the Brunswick Smash Zone I was very excited to get my hands on this ball. Brunswick's MaxXX Zone core uses the same inner core shape as the Smash Zone. However, the weight distribution between the inner core and outer core has been adjusted to raise the overall RG. I Drilled mine 5" from my pap @ 45* without an extra hole and a finish of 4000 abralon and no polish. The first thing I noticed was how strong it picked up in the mid-lanes with out losing its back end punch. For me this ball is about 5 boards stronger than my Smash Zone. It gave me more area when the lanes were fresh, but as the lanes broke down I had chased the shot in and could still get the ball to recover and give strong continuous motion through the pin deck. The MaxXX Zone is a very strong yet versatile ball. When you need that little extra on tight lane conditions you should give strong consideration to this ball.

The Nexus Pearl has a different cover formula than its counterpart the Nexus Solid. The Nexus Pearl uses the Projection additive to create more up front skid allowing for better axis rotation and more desirable entry angles.
The Nexus Pearl is my go to ball for league play because it give me better recovery down lane no matter what angle I have to play. I get 2 to 3 more boards of back end hook than I get from my other equipment. The Nexus Pearl will be a great addition to any arsenal.

Brunswick has changed the bowling ball landscape again. Their new cover technology can change the ratio of chemicals in the ball's cover. The Nexus Solid uses the new Projection and Friction additives that help push the ball down the lane before creating strong traction to the pocket.
Having had a chance to throw this ball I can truly say that this is one very aggressive ball. The 1500 grit finish allows the Nexus Solid to handle high oil volumes that you might find at tournaments. I think you will be hard pressed to find a ball that will hook more than this one. The Nexus Solid is definitely a game changer for Brunswick.

Brunswick Rattler

Brunswick has raised the stakes in the mid performance ball category with its new release the Rattler.The Rattler use Brunswick's Activator coverstock (which is one best covers to ever be formulated) around their proven low RG rocket core. I drilled mine with a dual angle layout of 45 X 5 X 65 which puts the pin under my bridge, the cg shifted about 1 1/2 inches to the right, and I had to use a small weight hole down below my mid line. My Rattler had a very strong mid lane roll and a very controllable move to the pocket. On a fresh THS this ball handled the oil extremely well as I started moving left I was a little nervous because sometimes for me low rg cores make the ball lose energy a little too fast and I start leaving weak hits. This ball never seemed to lost its energy as I moved left and circled the pattern a bit more. My pin carry was just as strong at the end of game 3 as it was in game 1. How many times have you started your league with a great ball reaction only to wonder where it went in the 2nd game? This ball allowed me to follow the oil line left without sacrificing any performance or carry and to me that is a sign of a really great ball. Thanks again Brunswick for another a great bowling ball.

Brunswick Revolver

Brunswick's new high performance ball is the Revolver. This ball uses Connexion Grip coverstock an improved version of the original Connexion coverstock. Connexion Grip is a new formula that increase the ball's footprint size which allows for improved mid-lane and back-end traction. This ball is sanded to a 4000 Siaair micro pad finish which creates good length and a strong continuous move down lane. The Revolver uses a new core called the Jack core that is designed as a low RG symmetric core with a high differential. The low RG enhances the mid-lane roll and the high differential will increase track flare giving the ball more opportunity to grip the back-end.

I was looking for the Revolver to be first ball out of my bag so that I could control very clean backends such as the pattern used at the USBC national tournament. I drilled this ball with a 35x5x70 dual angle layout to help create a smoother move off of the pattern. The Revolver is perfect for fresh medium to long patterns as it allowed me to keep my angles tighter and control the fresh backend. I was really surprised that as the pattern wore down I was still able to throw this ball because it maintained great continuation to the pocket. It is a great high performance ball that will fit into the stronger part of anybody's arsenal.

Brunswick Siege

Brunswick's Siege is a new high end ball designed to combat heavier volume oil patterns. The Siege has a asymmetric core named M.A.C.E. (Mechanical Asymmetric Core Engineering) which is a very Low RG core designed work with a new coverstock call Recoil. The M.A.C.E. core's High differential will assist traction in higher volume patterns and the High RG asymmetric differential will allow the Siege to respond quicker to friction. Brunswick's Recoil cover is designed to improve mid-lane and backend reaction that allows you to combat today's oils and lane surfaces.

I smoothed the Siege down to 4000 abralon then drilled it 45x5x65 with a weight hole about one inch from the mass bias mark. On the house pattern this ball created surprising length, strong but controllable move at the break, and it went through the pins with amazing energy. I was able to use this ball for 2 out of the 3 games in league competition before it became too much ball. I then tested my Siege on the 2009 USBC pattern even though I had to play the lanes straighter the ball still gave me a really good reaction, but I wanted to see what the Siege would do if I took it back to 1000 abralon. After The quick surface adjustment the Siege really showed its teeth I had more area at the break point (a good 2 to 3 boards) with this ball than I have had with my other equipment. I found it really great that even at the 1000 abralon finish the ball still cleared the heads and maintained energy at the pins. I would have say that I have found my new favorite ball to use on high volume patterns.

Since the slingshot's release it has been the most requested entry performance ball. I am truly amazed at how good this ball performs for new bowlers as well as accomplished players. Slingshot versatility allows newer bowlers to upgrade from plastic or someone looking for a ball to roll better on drier or shorter lane patterns. Because of its mild reactive coverstock it creates length while maintaining medium response to friction on dry to medium-dry lane conditions. The slingshot introduction has once again shown why Brunswick is the number one name in bowling.

I do not think I can say enough good things about this ball. I drilled with the pin 5 @ 45* inches from my PAP with a small hole down on the VAL. I took the ball to 4000 Abralon with no polish. This Ball is a strike machine. I drilled this ball when it was first released back in June and since then my strike percentage went through the roof. I have had Countless 700 series in my leagues and my averages are up about 20 pins from last year. This is a great ball to have in your arsenal. I give it my highest recommendation.

This layout allows me to create straighter angels through the front part of the lane with a stronger move at the end of the pattern. I can usually start off playing close to the track area until the heads start to dry up, and then I am able to move left and still create really good angels to the pocket. This is one of the most versatile ball in the Brunswick line because I seem to be able to find a shot with it on just about any oil pattern THS, Megabuck tournaments, and USBC. I can not say enough good things about this ball.

Brunswick has definitely created some BUZZ with this ball. This ball comes off the end of the pattern with strong angular move. The ball just would not quit no matter how deep I moved on the lane the ball just kept turning the corner. It is one ball reaction you should have in your arsenal. People that have a hard time creating ball speed or revolutions will definitely benefit from this ball. Bowlers that have more than average ball speed and revolutions will find that this ball works well for them too.

I drilled my Twisted Fury Destruction 5 1/2 from pap @45* without a weight hole. This ball was clean through the heads, but very strong and continuous through the pin deck. Although Some pearls tend to squirt and be hard to predict on the wet/dry conditions, but this one seems to grip any friction and just keep going. On our fresh house shot this ball let me play the lanes straighter with a very strong angular move towards the pin deck, but it was when the lanes broke down that this ball came to life. The destruction got through the heads as they were breaking down, but it still had a strong continuous motion and great carry. This core/cover combination are amazing together. Just feed the ball out toward friction and watch it return.Thank you Brunswick for delivering another great piece of equipment.

I drilled this ball with the pin 5 from my PAP and smoothed the surface to 4000 abarlon. I got a chance to use this ball on the PBA Scorpion pattern and it rolled tremendous right from the start. The lanes were very tight but this ball gave me some room to play. It has been a long time since I have thrown a ball that started revving up that quickly but still had enough energy to give me some great carry.

I used the same layout as I did on my Strike Zone because I wanted something for the fresher THS. I got exactly what I was looking for out of this ball. At the start of the night I able to stay close to the track without the ball breaking to hard off the end of the pattern. When I started to move left the ball really surprised me as I was expecting to lose it move to the pocket, but it still had a very strong and continuous motion to the pocket with very good carry. I did not have to put this ball away during our 3 games of league on THS.

Brunswick Wicked Siege

The Brunswick Wicked Siege is the latest release in their Pro Performance line. This ball uses an updated version of the Propel cover called Propel X which generates a quicker response to friction than the original Propel cover. Brunswick altered the M.A.C.E. core by raising the RG to create a break point further down the lane, a high differential for enhanced back end movement, and a strong asymmetric RG to help quicken the response time to friction.
I was really excited to get mine a little early because the Evil Siege has been my go to ball for sometime now. I used a layout that would create a touch more length than my Evil(45X5X35) so I drilled the Wicked (40X5 1/2X 35). This drilling was right on the money. The Wicked was a little too clean for game 1 (210 with a 10th frame open). The 2nd and 3rd games were a different story as I struck 22 out of the last 24 shots for 268 and 279. The Wicked was way above my expectations because this ball seemed to get better as the night went on. This ball stayed very clean through the front of the lane and had strong continuation all night. I give this ball one of my highest recommendations because this is a can't miss ball from Brunswick.

Brunswick Wild Card

The Wild Card utilizes ConneXion coverstock known for its unbelievable traction response from foul line to head pin. For a ball with a solid coverstock the Wild Card gets easily through the heads, staying on line to target on medium and heavy oil conditions, but the coverstock really comes to life when the ball reaches the end of the oil pattern and moves aggressively to the pocket. The Paragon core was designed with two things in mind. First, lowering the RG to create a faster revving core that provides a strong mid-lane traction. And second, raise the RG differential to increase the track flare and generate more overall hook with standard layouts.

I drilled my Wild Card 70x5x40 and took the finish to 4000 with Siaair Micro Pads. I was looking for the Wild Card create length with a smoother motion in the back part of the lane. This ball is incredible on our 39ft THS being that it clears the front while maintaining a smooth predictable move at the end of the pattern. It also worked great from a deeper angle because it never lost its continuation through the pins. Every once in awhile you get that ball you know is going to be great before you even get on the lane and this is one of those balls. I rarely include personal accomplishments in my reviews, but during the first 10 games with the Wild Card I averaged 250, had a 300, couple of 279's and a low game of 220. The Wild Card is one ball that would definitely be a great addition to anybody's arsenal.

Brunswick Wild Ride

Brunswick's Wild Ride is definitely a new ball reaction for them. I know you have heard it before about how this ball will go long and break hard but those words describe this ball to a T. I drilled my Wild Ride using a dual angle layout 65 X 5 X 65 which puts my pin under the bridge and the locator pin about 1 1/4 right of my thumb hole. I threw this ball with its box finish (Rough Buff), and boy did it get down the lane with ease then make a really strong move to the pins. By the the way I was bowling on a burnt up THS and was able to stay about 5 boards right with this ball than any thing else I had. The Wild Ride's carry was phenomenal I carried light hits as well as trip 4s because it did not seems to matter where I hit the pocket as long as I was close.If you are wondering how this ball will handle oil. After my 3 games I moved left about 8 boards and the still had a tremendous recovery, and I still had great carry even though my angle had changed a little. Brunswick wrapped a new cover (ConneXion) around the Twisted Fury core to produce one of their most angular ball reactions to date. Two Thumbs up for this ball. Get one in your hands, hold on, and enjoy the ride.

Brunswick Wild Thing

I Finally got a chance to throw my Brunswick Wild Thing with the ConneXion coverstock and it did not disappoint. I drilled my Wild Thing with a dual angle of 45X 4 3/4x 70 with a 4000 abralon finish( have same specs on my Wild Ride). I was looking for the Wild Thing to be stronger in the mid-lane and to have more angle in the back. Even though on our fresh house shot I was 5 and 3 left of my Wild ride and because of its quick response to friction this ball was almost too angular in the backend. After a few games even with the heads starting to dry up and the backends starting to tighten up my angle to the pocket got was never better. After a 2 and 1 move left with the Wild Thing which was still very clean through the heads. The ball gave me tremendous amounts of forgiveness at my down lane target and incredible pin carry. I was a little apprehensive about this ball (for THS) because of it has a lower RG and a bigger differential(.045)than my Wild Ride and because sometimes I lose continuation to the pocket and carry power when trying to use stronger ball on THS. MY Wild Thing was absolutely amazing never once while I was throwing it did I have to worry about the ball losing its energy and hitting flat. The Wild Thing is a great addition to Brunswick's High Performance line and a definite plus to your arsenal.

Columbia 300 Burst

Columbia's newest mid level performance is the Burst. This ball is built using the Resurgence Core and wrapped the core with the original New Era coverstock. Columbia designed this ball for medium conditions by using a 4000 factory polish finish to give all bowlers a more even arc on medium to drier conditions.

The 4000 finish on this ball allows to get down lane without losing to much energy but maintains its arcing ball motion. After sanding it to a 2000 finish and moving to higher oil volume pattern this ball still performed well by reading the lane a little early and having a smooth controlled move to the pins. The Burst had awesome carry with both finishes on the ball. So depending what you are looking for the Burst should be able to fill a gap in any arsenal.

What a ball. The proven Ti Boss core under a highly aggressive cover. Columbia sure does give you some big bang for the buck because it will be hard to find this much hook at a lower price point. This ball has a tremendous move to the pocket that it is hard for the pins to stay on deck when it makes contact. It is one of columbia's best kept secerts but it will not be long before everybody hears about the NOISE.

Columbia's most recent high performance ball release is the Pure Swing. This ball features the Full Swing Core surrounded by a new coverstock called Full Tilt 5.0 Pearl. For this release Columbia smoothed out the 5.0 nodules making the shell more responsive to friction and delivering a ball that goes longer but makes a stronger move down lane on more medium conditions. This ball is stronger in the backend than any High Performance ball in Columbia's history.

This is one of the strongest pearlized balls that I have been able to put in my customers hands. It picks up a strong mid-lane roll on our fresh house shot and drives through pins with a very strong and continuous roll. My customers have only great things to say about this ball.

The Dexter Magnum is a mans shoe that is made with white soft man-made materials. Unlike most athletic looking bowling shoes this style comes with right foot has a tacky, rubber traction sole for a better push off and increased leverage at the line. This show comes with the S8 microfiber slide sole which allows for a smooth consistent slide. This is a great shoe because it gives you some of the same technology used in high performance shoes of today.

The Dexter SST 7SE is my personal favorite interchangeable shoe. The upper part of the shoe is made with a full grain leather. The push of shoe is constructed using a non-marking Goodyear Power Pivot non-marking rubber and has a reinforced Duratip traction toe. The slide shoe has a rubber blocker that help keep the slide sole from rolling back as you slide. The inner part of the shoes use Dual Density PU Footbed w/DRYZ technology that allow your feet to stay dry and comfortable. Besides the S8 slide sole and H5 tri-dex heel that come on the shoe Dexter includes the S2, S6, S10 slide soles and the H1, H2 Ultra Brakz, H7 heels. This is a great shoe and I have had know problems with mine.

This is not your daddy’s Brunswick. DV8 is a new brand from Brunswick. The Hell Raiser is a medium RG/ high differential core wrapped up by Class 5 Reactive coverstock. This ball skids through the front and mid lane with a strong response to friction creating a very angular motion on medium to high oil volume patterns. The Hell Raiser is a great choice when you want the ball create angle on the back end.

One of Ebonite's new lower mid-performance balls is the Curve Ball. This ball combines a simple light bulb weight block with the 11.7 GB cover (The Big One). The 11.7 cover allows the ball to get through the fronts clean, enhance mid lane reaction, and a good response to the friction down lane. The light bulb weight block creates a smooth but strong move at the end of the pattern and has good continuation through the pins. This ball is just a little stronger than the Hard ball mainly due to the cover differences. The two ball compliment each other very well and would be an asset to any arsenal.

One of Ebonite's new lower mid-performance balls is the Hard Ball. This ball combines a simple light bulb weight block with the 10.7 GB cover (The One). The 10.7 cover allows the ball to get through the fronts clean and react to the friction down lane. The light bulb weight block helps create a smoother move off the end of the pattern but does not hinder the ball's continuation through the pins. This ball should allow you to keep your move to a minimal during the set making it easy to follow your ball motion.

A few of my customer with arthritic pain in their wrist tried Ebonite's left handed Mag Force 9000 ( which is similar to the pro-form positioner) except for the Neodymium magnets sewen into a 2" elastic hook and loop band in the wrist area. The customers said the glove's magnetic properties help to relive swelling and discomfort in their wrist and that they were able to make shots with out any pain. They also said special gripping compound provided a tacky feel to the ball for added control, and that the Padded steel backhand support system kept their wrist in a stable position during the release. They were extremely excited to be able to bowl a number of games and not have to deal with pain after bowling like they have had to endure in the past.

About the Bowler

Ebonite's newest high performance release is the Mission. The Mission's new core design offers dynamics that all bowlers look for, Medium RG levels, Medium high differential with a strong Mass Bias potential. With their new cover, XL1200, they have worked very hard with to bring to market a cover that not only performs at a high level, but is able to maintain performance longer on the conditions that are used today. To assist with achieving these performance criteria, Ebonite is using a new finishing process, 500, 1000, 2000 Abralon Sanded. This procedure yields better performance, for a longer period of time.

Having drilled a few of these balls for customers I found that this ball has a strong continuous motion all the way through the pins. The Mission creates a strong mid lane roll and is very predictable at the break point which makes for a very good ball motion. Mission accomplished!

Are you ready for your next Mission? The Mission X is the latest ball from Ebonite. This ball uses a new medium Rg/ high differential core and the latest coverstock called XL1350 to generate a strong continuous ball motion. The Mission X shows more down lane motion than any Mission to date. A great choice for people who like to see the pins fly.

A very strong early revving ball that handles the higher volume patterns. Even though it strats to read the lane earlier than the other NV balls it still continues to drive through the pocket. Anyone in need of a heavy oil ball should try this one out.

The Pin Slasher is Ebonite's newest mid performance ball. It is going to fill the gap in between the Gamebreaker and the Playmaker. The V2 core inside of the GBV 12.7 (Angular One) cover makes this ball just a little cleaner and a touch stronger in the back. Anyone who was a Gamebreaker fan should make sure that this ball has a spot in there bag.

The new upper mid performance ball from Ebonite is the Warning Sign. This ball has a low Rg/ medium differential core under the High Traction Reactive Hybrid-2 coverstock. The Warning Sign will handle higher oil volumes by creating a strong mid lane rev and continuous back end move. The predictable motion makes this a good ball to add to your arsenal.

Hammer Backlash Red/Purple

A new series for the Hammer Brand is the Backlash series. Hammer is using the Max-Length Reactive cover finished to 2000 grit and Factory Finish polish. The new Saucer Core gives you a higher Rg and a medium differential allowing for some back end pop on dry conditions. A good ball to have on hand when the lanes get really dry.

Hammer Black Widow Nasty

The ball in the Widow Line is the Black Widow Nasty. The Nasty has a higher RG and higher differential core system, the Nasty pushes further down the lane but keeps it coming on the backend. The Big Wheel Reactive cover gets this Widow Nasty going on the backend. The Nasty uses a Cover-puck technology that helps create new ball motion that has not been available with standard Widow cores.

This ball create good length and exceptional recovery for a solid cover. My customers have had no problem playing different angles on the lane while still being able to create good continuation through the pins. What a great ball to finish the Widow series with.

Hammer Raw Hammer Jacked

The newest release in the Raw Hammer series is The Jacked. This Ball features the Assault core to give the you early revs and strong mid lane read, and the original Black Widow’s Violent Reactive Coverstock. Finished at 1000 grit Abralon makes this one strong mid priced bowling ball.

I must say that I have not seen many mid priced balls this strong. It handles med to heavy oil volumes very well and combine that with a strong mid-lane reaction and good continuation through the pins you have yourself a great ball.

The Taboo Electric Blue/ Silver is the 2nd release of the Taboo line.
This ball has a medium Rg/ High differential core covered by GTR II pearl coverstock. This Taboo is stronger than the original by a few boards. How can you go wrong with a ball that uses the Gas Mask core which was made famous by the Widow series. The Taboo Electric Blue/ Silver will show you a strong mid lane and aggressive back end move.

Lane 1's newest edition to the Curve line is the Big Curve. This ball is designed to handle the heavier volumes that the Curve struggles on. The Pure Explosion 9.6 cover gives you a stronger roll up front to allow for a smoother move at the breakpoint. I have seen this ball thrown on a higher volume pattern and its performance was awesome. The ball motion was strong up front but still went through the pins like a truck.

The Lane 1 release Dynamo is a ball designed to handle higher oil volumes. The Dynamo is Black with their new cover stock Category 5 and a new core called the Hurricane core which looks like a twisted diamond.
This ball has a low RG core with a medium to high differential which will help when the lane are playing oily. The dynamo is finished with a 4000 Abralon but can be easily adjusted to fit your style. So if you are looking for a ball to use on those higher oil volumes you should give this ball some consideration.

This ball uses a inverted diamond core wrapped up in the new Power Snap 17 Light Load particle cover. The intention of this ball is to give a aggressive ball motion on higher volume oil patterns. Even though this is a new ball company the found has worked in the bowling industry for over 20 years, and with his vast experience comes Radical Bowling’s first release called the Slant. This ball has a low RG/medium differential core inside of a pearl reactive cover. The Slant’s box finish make it an ideal ball for medium conditions, but with some minor surface tweaks this ball will handle some higher volume patterns. If you are looking for something a little different you might want to give this ball a chance.

Radical Bowling’s release called the Slant Solid. This ball uses the same a low RG/medium differential core that is in the Slant Pearl. The Slant Solid's Soaker reactive coverstock (removes oil from the surface 54% quicker than coverstocks without the SOAKER additive) make it an ideal ball for high oil volumes. This ball has a strong mid lane and continuous back end. If you are looking for something a little different you might want to give this ball a chance.

Roto Grip Infinite Theory is the latest addition to the Crown line. This ball has a 219.3 perfect scale rating and falls into the pro performance category on this site. The Infinite Theory uses the core shape called the Triliptic Core which produces a strong but predictable ball motion which translates into more mid lane revs and a continuous back end hook. This ball is designed for medium to high volume patterns or any condition that it is hard to generate a strong ball motion.

We held a Storm Open House and the Infinite Theory was one of the balls demoed. This is a very strong pearl ball and it rolled well for those who choose to throw it. This ball was clean through the front of the lane, had a strong mid lane motion, and aggressive back end charge. The Infinite Theory worked very good with all styles from the down and in players to the high rev release players. This is going to a good ball for anyone that decides to drill one.

The Realm pro CG is a overseas release in the Royal line. Roto Grip used the Cyto-X cover. This cover has a high surface texture and coefficient of friction giving it traction on higher volumes of oil. The C.A.M. core provides a medium Rg, high differential, and a mass bias differential of .012 creating a strong and continuous ball motion. This ball is slightly cleaner in the front than say a Mutant Cell but still has that strong ball motion you have come to expect from the Cell line of balls.

About the Bowler

Having drilled a few of Roto Gripâ€™s Rogue Cells for some of my customers. A ball that utilizes their latest generation of the Cytoplasmic coverstocks. The Cytoplasmic XL is a hybrid reactive cover features a unique blend of additives creating the highest friction to lane values ever produced by Roto Grip. This ball also uses the highly successful, performance proven Nucleus core. This is the same asymmetrical core that powered original Cell to 2008â€™s "Ball of the Year". The Rogue seems to be a versatile ball. You can use it on most conditions as long as you have some oil in the heads. It is driller friendly, and the cover/core combination is good. From what I have noticed the Rogue is more versatile than the other two balls in the cell series. It is not a bad ball choice if you are looking for a strong revving ball for medium conditions.

Roto Grip Shooting Star

The Shooting Star is the latest addition to the Shield line. The medium RG/ medium differential core combined with Ultimate Vision solid cover will increase mid lane roll and earlier break point. The Shooting Star will a more rounded and smoother ball motion.

Roto Grip Theory

About the Bowler

Roto Grip has a new Theory and it is the latest addition to the Crown line. This ball has a 220.0 perfect scale rating and falls into the pro performance category on this site. The Theory uses a new core shape called the Triliptic Core that produces a strong but predictable ball motion which translates into more mid lane revs and a continuous back end hook. This ball is designed for higher volume patterns or any condition that it is hard to generate a strong ball motion. If you are having trouble getting the ball to read the mid lane on tighter lane conditions the Theory is definitely a ball that you should consider adding to your arsenal.

Storm 2 Fast

Storm's new 2Fast uses proven coverstock (R2S pearl) that is clean through the heads and attacks the drier boards in the back end of the lane. The 2 Fast has a totally new core called the N.O.S. core system created an increase of flare potential by using a higher volume core. This new shape has a elevated differential creating a stronger ball motion than original Turbine core. This ball is going to a good choice for bowlers looking for something to combat lighter oil volumes.

Storm Anarchy

Storm's latest Premier Line release is the Storm Anarchy that uses next generation reactor cover stock RS3 pearl along with a new core concept called the Origin Core. Storm's concept was to create contours along the RG planes that will allow for a stronger preferred spin axis.The Invasion's technology creates a quicker revving core with a more defined breakpoint unlike any prior design found on the market.

I have found that my customers are seeing a cleaner and stronger ball motion than the Invasion on a house shot, and they can move deeper and still generate a strong entry angle. This ball will deliver strike after strike from just about any angle on the lane. The Anarchy is a solid addition to Storm's Premier Line.

The 1 ball Deluxe Tote from Storm is a good bag for those people who only carry 1 ball. It is constructed with a durable polyvinyl fabric and has reinforced stitching around the zippers. The shoes have their own compartment and will fit up to a men's size 15. The outside pocket will hold your accessories. This bag comes in 4 color combinations.

Storm has a winner. The Dimension works great on the shots with medium to heavy oil. It is one of the best high end Storm balls that I have seen in a while. It has great mid lane reaction and a strong move towards the pocket. Any body looking for a good medium to heavy oil ball should definitely consider this ball.

This second generation of pearl Reactor coverstock has amplified the hook potential and by combining this cover with the successful Turbine core has made this Performance Series a big bang for the buck.

The ball clears the front of the lane very easy. The Fast had a very strong move at the breakpoint and had great drive through the pins. For its price point this ball seems to handle medium volumes of oil with no problem. Storm did a great job with this ball.

Storm's Frantic is a new ball in the Hot line. The NOS core is covered by the R2S hybrid coverstock. The combination between core and cover creates a long and strong ball motion on medium oil volumes. The Frantic's ball motion and its bright orange and green color combo will definitely make this ball a standout on the lanes.

The latest ball in the the Master Line is the Marvel which features an all-new Centripetal core. This new core allows a variety of layouts and guarantees consistent and predictable move from break point to pocket. Storm encased the new core in the R2X solid cover and finished it with 2000-grit Abralon thus Allowing the Marvel excellent mid-lane control. This ball is not too strong for high rev players but strong enough weaker release players. The Marvel is going to be a good benchmark ball for a good many bowlers.

Storm’s Marvel Pearl is the latest addition to the Master Line. This ball uses the same core and a pearl version of the popular R2X cover that allows the ball to travel longer down the lane before making a strong move to the pocket. The Marvel Pearl will pick up when the Marvel becomes to much ball for the condition allowing you to generate the length through the front of the lane and produce a stronger move of the end of the pattern

The Natural is a conventional U2S urethane coverstock that generates less surface friction for challenging patterns combined with the Turbine core this ball is strong enough to create flare so that the ball will create a strong enough ball motion and diminish the over/under ball reaction down lane sometimes associated with reactive covers. A great choice for short or light volume patterns.

The Natural Pearl is a conventional U2S pearl urethane cover stock, made popular in the 80's, it uses less surface friction for short or light volume patterns. Storm's Rapid fire uses R2S solid cover(one of their best) and combine it with the Twin V core to create a med/high rg (2.57)/ high diff.(.050) ball that will perform well on most medium volume conditions. I like this cover because it allows the ball to clear the fronts with ease so that it has plenty of energy down lane. The Rapid Fire has the Storm's trade mark angular move at the break point so be careful with your layouts.

This a mid priced pearl reactive that uses the R2S coverstock the second generation of Storm''s popular Reactor™ shell, features a special additive which increases traction in oil. This combination provides agressive midlane revs and an angular backend reaction. The cover is enhanced by the C.A.M. core that has unique contours along the weight block with the strategically placed weighted mass blocks deliver optimum mid-lane roll.

This definitely is a ball that has one of the strongest moves to the pocket I have seen recently out of mid priced lines. My customers have have had nothing but great things to say about this ball. It is an easy recommendation to anybody looking for a ball with an aggressive backend move.

Storm's latest entry into the Thunder Line is the Reign of Fire. This a mid priced solid reactive that uses the R2S coverstock which is one of Storm's best and one of the most versatile on the market. The C.A.M. core helps deliver a strong mid lane roll even in heavier oil.

This ball has been one my shop's top seller since its release because of the ball's performance on the lanes and its mid price point. It is hard to find a ball on the market at the same price that will deliver like the Reign of Fire.

The Second Dimension is a pearl version of the original Dimension. This ball was created to be effective when the front of the lane starts to dry out. The R2x pearl cover uses enhanced mica particles for better friction down lane even if there is a carry down of the oil. The Continuum Core provides a medium to low RG and a higher differential so that you still maintain control of the mid-lane while giving you a strong move down lane. This ball is a good choice for higher friction lane surfaces and medium volume oil patterns.

Storm's Street Rod Pearl uses their "Reactor" cover wrapped around the "Turbine" core to create a very good med rg(2.55)/ med diff.(.038) ball. This ball is designed to handle lighter oil volumes, dry fronts, and shorter patterns. The Street Rod Pearl does that very well. Face it you can not use the monster hook balls all the time and this ball will keep you in the game a little longer when the other balls are too much too soon. Be sure to put one in your bag for those late shift leagues or late games at your tournaments.

The Victory Road is the newest addition to Storm's Thunder Line. The re-engineered Inverted Fe 3 core allows for a variety of layouts. The R2s pearl cover is a great match for this core and its ability to handle a wide variety of lane conditions. You will notice how easy this ball travels down lane before its strong back-end move. If you were a Hy-road fan this is a ball for you.

This ball uses a solid version of their ever popular R2s cover and the Inverted FE3 core to create a ball motion that is strong in the mid lane yet will not sacrifice anything in the back end. The Victory Road Solid will provide a more predictable roll than the original Victory Road so that you can handle tighter mid lane oil.

Being a Brunswick Guy I was pleasantly surprised with Storm's Virtual Energy. Although I did not drill one for myself I have drilled a few for customers. It's extremely clean through the front and it is a great compliment to Storm's Virtual Gravity when the lanes start to break down and there is no more head oil. The amount of area my customers had with this bowling ball was incredible. It just seemed to deliver wherever they played on the lane. For my low rev customers I used layouts with pin distances between 4 to 4 Â½ and higher rev players 5 to 5 Â½. If you like to get the ball down the lane with a strong backend reaction, then this is your ball.

First of all let me say that Stormâ€™s Virtual Gravity is a very unique looking bowling ball. The color scheme and brightness is a real head turner when it rolls down the lane. This is designed to be very aggressive and used for medium-heavy oil patterns. On a heavier oil pattern is very good, but for the average house shot this might be a little too much ball. Although the R2X cover allows for easy surface adjustments to cover most medium to heavy patterns you should avoid laying this ball out too strong. This ball has a good roll and should be recommended it for anyone looking for a ball with a lot of overall hook.

Storm Virtual Gravity NANO

One of Storm's best balls just got better. The newest addition to Storm’s Premier line is the Virtual Gravity Nano. This ball uses a medium low RG with a high differential core. The new cover stock called NRG (Nano Reactive Genesis) was designed to create more texture which generates more surface contact to the lane the end result is more hook. If the Virtual Gravity Nano follows in the footsteps of the original Virtual Gravity it is sure to be a great ball.

The Latest ball in Storm’s Premier Line is the Virtual Gravity Nano Pearl. The Nano Pearl uses a medium Rg/ high differential core wrapped up by NRG cover stock that uses mica to create a cleaner ball motion through the front of the lane but still allowing more surface contact resulting in a strong back end hook. This ball plays well on medium to higher oil volumes. The Nano Pearl should be another good ball in a very successful line.

Track 715C

Track's newest release into their upper mid performance category is the 715C. Track set out to make a more aggressive ball that maintained a continuous and controlled move at the breakpoint. The 715C has an all new coverstock, the “UMP GEN 4C” with pearl essence, which boasts a greater surface texture. The catback core is medium Rg core that has 0.015 intermediate differential, which gives this ball tremendous striking power.

Having Drilled a few of these balls for customers the one I can say is that this ball rolls just like it was designed to do. It got through the front of the lane easily but still maintained smooth controlled move at the breakpoint. Track did a great job on this ball which makes it easy to recommend it to customers.

Track Tantrum

Don't have a fit. Throw a Tantrum and everybody will take notice. Track latest mid performance ball provides length and a very strong move to the pocket. This ball comes off the break point with one of the most angular moves that I have seen in the last few years. The Tantrum exceptional length will make sure that drier heads are no problem. So don't get mad just throw a Tantrum!

I have drilled this ball for a few customers. Pin placements have been between 5 to 5 1/2 and thrown with the box finish. Everyone of them has told this is an incredible ball that has great mid lane reaction and a strong arching move to the pocket. They have also told me that it is one of the hardest hitting balls that they have in their bag.
