When I found out about the Covert Tank, I was wanting this ball to work for me more so than any other MOTIV ball within our lineup. I have never matched up well with urethane equipment and with my 19.5mph speed, urethane balls on the right side limit my ability to shape the lane because of carry down issues I get from others using urethane equipment.

This new cover stock, Micro Cell Polymer, soaks up oil at a fraction of what resin does yet still absorbs more oil than urethane. The Torx weight block allows me to shortened my Pin to Pap on this ball because the higher differential gives me the ability to have more track flare plus I get more back end motion too!! The Covert Tank has the predictability of urethane, reads the mid-lane like a traditional resin ball and gives me much better pin carry than a urethane ball does.

I highly recommend this ball for the typical house bowler, anyone facing those wet/dry conditions and for those bowing on sport patterns.

Forged from fire and built to hook!!

The Detonator core has a low radius of gyration and when it's pared with a higher differential you can get larger track flares plus a really smooth response when it reads the friction. The Coercion HFS cover grips in heavy oil and has outstanding continuation.

I decided to drill this the exact same as my Venom Shock(60x30x5). The Venom Shock has been a great benchmark ball because of it being faster through the front part of the lane for me and now with the Forge being stronger upfront and a bit slower down lane, when I open up my angles, I don't see the ball over hook when touching friction. I like the out of the box finish because it's slower through the front part of the lane and still has the energy to get back to the pocket. This ball compliments my Venom Shock and I am very pleased with its performance.

I recommend this to a friend for sure.

I drilled two Forge Fireballs because I wanted to see the reaction I’d get down lawn with my traditional 60x5.75x30 and to see how a shorter pin to pap would react(drilled 60x3.75x30).

The Forge Fire is a strong symmetrical piece and with my shorter pin to pap layout it works really well on a fresh house shot. When the heads burn up and the ball sees friction early I can stay in the same zone and use my longer pin to pap layout. I noticed that the short pin to pap layout flared a lot more and would burn its energy really early if I wasn’t playing deep enough in the oil therefore causing some carry/defection concerns. The longer pin to pap layout gave me room to play right longer and I noticed greater continuation and a higher carry percentage when the lanes broke down.

The Forge Fire is cleaner and a faster response ball compared to the Forge. When the Forge responds too quickly to friction you can move to the Fire and get the down lane reaction and the extra push through the fronts.  I like the angularity and versatility this ball provides and it can be used on a variety of patterns.

Looking for a ball that can produce a rather large track flare and a weight block that loves to rev up or better yet a ball that has the most hook potential and angular shape according to MOTIV Bowling? Well the Golden Jackal is a great choice.

The Predator V3 asymmetrical core pared with the Hexion SE cover is a perfect match on multiple conditions. The Jackal product line has always been a trusted grouping of balls within the MOTIV line up and this ball can be used on many different conditions and fits well within most people's arsenal .

With the Golden Jackal being a pearl, I really like the additional length I get when comparing it to the Trident Abyss. The Abyss focusses on the front part of the lane and is much smoother when it comes in contact with friction as opposed the Golden Jackal having the ability to get down lane and really create angularity as it responds to friction.

I really like the Golden Jackal because it's versatile and with it being so angular, I can move in and still have confidence to not miss the breakpoint.

Highly Recommend.

With this ball having the ability to carve through oil I wanted this ball to roll early and have a quick response. This ball allows me to play very angular when facing heavy oil. Being a speed dominate player(20.4mph) this ball never stops its motion and with the Predator V3 core I know this ball has the continuous motion to punish the pocket. What I really like about the Coercion HV@ Reactive Cover and core combination is how it can deal with the over under conditions when the oil pushes down. It's a TRUE FINISHER!!!

The Hexion Hybrid cover and in combination with the Oblivion core allows this ball to push through the heads and creates multiple angles of attack. This ball out of the box creates deeper angles and with the Oblivion Core you know it will come back with a vengeance. My favorite part about this ball is how it revs up quickly yet doesn't GRAB the lane causing it to burn up energy early. The backend motion is being preserved by the higher RG and when it exits the pattern the hitting power is "Lethal". Speed and revs allow me to use this ball with a longer pin to play the track even if it's blown up. Playing inside and on top of the pattern sometimes makes me nervous however the Lethal Paranoia give me confidence!! Don't think twice about it. This ball is a must and should have a home in everyone's MOTIV arsenal.

To sum it up: "This ball has the shape of a hockey stick"

The MOTIV Ripcord was created to produce angularity and continuation through the pins. Ever notice when the heads dry up and you need to move in to open up your angles? I really like this cover/ore combo because I can move in and do just that. The Ripcord is clean through the front part of the lane and rips off the friction on the back part of the lane. I struggle sometimes because my ball speed blows the ball past the break point and this core was created to create the down lane motion I need to help me overcome this struggle. Moving in and allowing the ball to see the front part of the lane and respond to friction gives me a shape I haven't seen before.

I highly recommend!!

MOTIV Bowling is at it yet again!! The Rogue Blade is packed with the Sigma core that was well received by Forza SS fans and to help it grip the lanes, MOTIV added the Hexion SE cover stock. This ball is designed to provide outstanding control through the mid-lane while having the authoritative response down lane you’d expect from the Sigma Core.

This ball is rather clean through the front part of the lane, responds quicker to friction than the Forza SS and the continuation gives me the ability to play larger angles. With me being speed dominant and having a higher rev rate, I’m able to migrate in and play larger angles when needing to get around the puddle of oil in the middle and when the track burns up for us right handers.

I was thrilled when I heard about this new release. I love the Hyrda and its angularity so knowing this ball is designed for lighter oil conditions that will give me the control I need when facing drier lanes and encountering lots of friction, I was like YES PLEASE!!

This ball has a brand new Flux weight block and with it having a higher RG to help suspend ball reaction, it will also add additional length when facing lighter oil conditions thanks to low differential and pearl shell. I started up the 8 board and was really impressed with its continuation so I gradually moved my feet and target left. I was able to play up 15 and could get the ball out to about 6 with the fresh 5500 Grit LPS finish. Being speed dominant and having 500 revs I like how this ball pushes quickly through the front part of the lane and then gives me a very predictable smooth motion when coming in contact with friction.

Highly Recommend

MOTIV Trident Abyss.
Weight Block: Turbulent
Cover Stock: Coercion HV3
Finish: 2000 Grit LSS

When you pair the Coercion HV3 reactive solid cover stock with the proven and very successful turbulent asymmetrical core, the Trident Abyss was born. This combination produced the strongest ball ever created by MOTIV. The HV3 cover was altered to excavate through heavy oil conditions with still allowing a super strong mid-lane.

Being a speed dominant player with 500 plus rev rate, I was extremely impressed when I tried the ball for the first time. Listing to other bowlers tell me I needed to literally move 5 left (right handed), I wasn’t certain this was the case for me since I roll the ball at 19mph. I made the adjustment based on feedback from others by sliding at board 40 and rolled it over the 5th arrow out to the five board. The ball cleared the front part of the lane, hooked through the mid lane and provided great energy when exiting through the pin deck. I can move further in, open up my angle even more and still see this ball get down-lane with enough energy to get through the pins.

Competitive bowlers wanting a very strong piece that provides control on heavily oiled patterns will want the Trident Abyss in their bag.

The Venom Recoil:

With the new Recoil being asymmetrical and knowing this ball will react with sharper angles as it reads friction, I was really excited to drill one and see how it responds when it reaches the break point.

Bowling leagues and seeing the heads burn up quickly, I wanted to take advantage of the this new upcoming release. With new upcoming rule changes and weight holes being eliminated this Recoil gives greater layout potential.

If and when I have some carry concerns switching to the asymmetrical Venom Recoil allows me to get though the chewed up heads and with a little help from the power gel polish I know carry isn't a concern anymore because the surface adjustments stop the ball from hooking so quickly as it reads early friction. Doing this gives me some addition skid down lane and makes it a bit faster through the front part of the lane.

To keep it simple this ball is smooth and creates a nice arcing shape. This ball works best for me when I pulled my breakpoint in and I see this ball being great on house and medium to medium light patterns.

Highly Recommend.

Motiv Villain Scorn:
Weight Block: Sinister
Cover Stock: Hexion SE Reactive
Finish: 5000 LSP

When you combine the sinister weight block and the latest innovation in angular cover technology from MOTIV Bowling, a new Villain is born. The Villain Scorn has a higher RG that gets the ball down lane and gives it the ability to store energy. The out of the box 5000 LSP finish along with the Strength Enhanced Hexion cover helps the ball get down lane however for me being speed dominant @ 19mph, I added some surface using a 3000 abralon pad to slow its response through the front part of the lane.
This ball is cleaner through the front part of the lane and quicker to respond to friction on the back part of the lane when comparing to the Rogue Blade. I can see myself using this ball on longer patterns that will need a quick response to friction towards the end of the pattern.

I highly recommend this ball. WWRD is 11/14/2018.

I really like predictable ball motion and the Orbital Core in this symmetrical solid was designed to not change direction drastically so I knew it would complement my game. The core is wrapped with Nano Extreme Solid technology and is the earliest reading cover to date. Core/Cover paired with the low RG helps this ball blend the pattern and not overreact when responding to friction. I was able to play further left to start, on a fresh house shot, with the slow response cover and the mid-lane is really predictable because of the low RG. Granted I only used this on fresh THS however I know this ball can handle heavy oil and when the lanes start to break down the Phase II would be a great ball down option when transitions began to take place.

I highly recommend this ball.

Decided on a 3x4x1 layout. Why?

The goal is to get the ball to be a bit slower through the front part of the lane therefore not overreacting when it responds to friction. Having the ball get into the roll sooner makes it easier to predict and more controllable on the back end. I liked my ability to play right longer vs. needing to jump inside sooner.

I get plenty of flare on the ball and love how it gets into the roll quicker. When the fronts blow up and there is still hold in the middle you could use the same layout but ball down.

This is a heavy rolling ball with the Shape-Lock high density core. This ball can power through heavy oil with ease!!

Fast responding and shape looks like a hockey stick to me. The 1500-grit polished surface and having higher ball speed(with low tilt) I am able to play up the boards early and then star migrating left. The R3S cover really helps blend out lane transitioning so I can continue to migrate in and open up my entry angles. The Velocity Core and the low RG with the higher differential really compliments the idea of having this as a bench mark ball. Overall this ball has a really big backend and I like starting up the boards. When I need to move in to open up my angles, I have no doubt, the R3S Hybrid cover and Velocity Core will make it to the pocket and wreak havoc on those pins!!

I highly recommend this ball.
