The United States Bowling Congress Hall of Fame recently announced that four members will be inducted into the 2020 class, this coming April 29, 2020.
The four inductees are Patrick Healey Jr. for the USBC Outstanding Performance Men’s category, Bob Learn Jr. for the Veterans category, and Andrew Cain and Jim Zebehazy for the Meritorious Service category.
Patrick Healey Jr., while retired, is a bowler who has made an impact on the sport. From participating in Team USA in ‘91, ‘92 and ‘95 to winning the Tournament of Champions in 2003, Healey Jr. is a name well recognized in the bowling world.
Bob Learn Jr. “Mr. 300”, the current head coach of bowling at Martin Methodist College in Tennessee, joined the PBA Tour in ‘81 and achieved many feats including but not limited to three PBA50 titles and the ESPY award for bowling in ‘97.
Andrew Cain is a name that many bowlers should be familiar with. Cain was president of the USBC for nearly three and a half years. He is also the Team Manager of the PBA League L.A.X. team. After Cain’s presidency, he is now a current member of the USBC Equipment Specifications Committee and the SMART board.
Jim Zebehazy is quite possibly best known for making youth bowling into what it is today. Zebehazy worked diligently on developing youth bowling and helped create Junior Gold Championships in ‘98 while he was Executive Director of YABA (Youth American Bowling Alliance)
The USBC Hall of Fame Class of 2020 will be inducted on April 29, at the USBC Convention in The Orleans Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, NV.
