Norm Duke Wins The 2008 Denny

Written By: bowlingball.com | Written On: Wednesday, February 27, 2008

This past Sunday, Norm Duke won against Ryan Shafer while battling the Flu.

The most important point to remember though, is that you should never count yourself out. This was a championship match where a 202 won. How many times have you bowled over a 202? Not to mention, an amateur made the television show. I know there is more to it, the conditions are different, you're on television, etc...

It's times like these that you have to remember that this is a game that you play against yourself. The mental game is so important, yet the easiest to disregard. I do it to myself all the time, get upset, throw one bad shot, and the next thing you know you are just throwing away pins by missing single pin spares. Try taking deep breaths and putting the bad frames behind you. I know, easier said than done.
