continues our series of Editorial articles to express opinions about the bowling industry. This article asks you is bowling your favorite sport?
Because this site provides continuous bowling articles, we thought it would be fun to hear from our friends is bowling your favorite sport of if you prefer others.
Competitive and recreational bowlers alike will claim they enjoy bowling but some will admit to having other sports as their real passion.
If you are one who participates in several sports, it may not be so easy to claim which is your favorite.
Here are some criteria to help you determine which sport is most enjoyed by you:
Do you participate in a sport other than bowling more times per week than bowling?
Are seasonal sports more enjoyable for you but you are limited when you can participate. Outdoor sports like golf and tennis are two where weather can be an issue.
Do you find yourself watching bowling on TV and practicing with family or friends between competitive sessions? If so, then your passion for the game exceeds merely bowling in one or two leagues per week if that is the scope of your involvement in the game.
Are sports you cannot or are no longer able to play still your most favorite sports?
Football, Baseball, and Basketball are three examples of sports where most people no longer play after perhaps 35 years of age but love to watch on TV.
Of course, there are exceptions where older folks play organized team games such as baseball or basketball as senior citizens.
Most bowlers claim golf as a sport they most enjoy other than bowling because it is a game which can be played at virtually any age.
Swimming is another popular pastime where good exercise is available and you do not have to be in formal competition.
We would like to hear your thoughts about your favorite sport or sports and why? Kindly place your comment in our blog section immediately below this article and let us learn how you view bowling in relation to other sports.
We thank you in advance for your participation and are anxious to read your comments.
Thank You,
