Pair of Daytona organizations to donate $10 for every strikeout by Tortugas’ pitchers at home in 2019
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - In preparation for the 2019 regular season at Jackie Robinson Ballpark, the Daytona Tortugas have announced a season-long “strikeout cancer” campaign in conjunction with their proud partner bowlingball.com.
For every strikeout recorded by Tortugas’ pitchers at “The Jack” this season, bowlingball.com and the Tortugas Care Foun- dation will make a $10 donation to “BOLD” which is a local 501c3 dedicated to the betterment of life in Volusia County.
Donations will be distributed to BOLD partners fighting cancer inside the greater Daytona Beach area.
The Tortugas are proud to partner with a fellow Daytona original. Bowlingball.com has been the internet’s #1 online bowling
pro shop since 1997. During the 2019 regular season, fans can also find the top location for bowling balls, bags, shoes,
apparel, and accessories at the area’s best location for safe, affordable, family fun in Central Florida — Jackie Robinson
Ballpark.
In addition to the Strikeout Cancer campaign, bowlingball.com will be the presenting sponsor of “Daytona Shore Night”
and the “Daytona Shore” bobble-fist giveaway. The souvenir will be distributed to the first 1,000 fans through the gates on
Saturday, May 25, when the Tortugas take on the Fort Myers Miracle, High-A affiliate of the Minnesota Twins, at 7:05 p.m.
