PWBA/PBA Women's Regional Schedule Set For 2016

In addition to a full schedule of QubicaAMF PBA Regional Tour events that provide competitive opportunities for women bowlers, the PBA will offer a dedicated PWBA/PBA Women's Regional tournament open exclusively to women bowlers as part of its 2016 program.
The 2016 PWBA-PBA Women's Regional events will be:
• June 17-19 - PWBA/PBA Secoma Lanes Northwest Open presented by Storm, Secoma Lanes, Federal Way, Wash.
• Aug. 19-21 - PWBA/PBA Emerald Bowl Southwest Open, Emerald Bowl, Houston, Texas.
Aug. 26-28 - PWBA/PBA Lafayette Lanes
South Open, LaFayette Lanes, Fayetteville, NC
• Sept. 16-18 - PWBA/PBA Maple City Dodge East Open powered by Ram, Maple City Bowl, Hornell, N.Y.
• Sept. 17-18 - PWBA/PBA Budweiser Midwest Open hosted by Diamond Jo Casino, Cherry Lanes, Dubuque, Iowa.
• Sept. 30-Oct. 2 - PWBA/PBA Parkin Bowling Supply West Open, Bowlium Lanes, Montclair, Calif.
• Oct. 8-9 - PWBA/PBA Northwest Lanes Central Open, Northway Lanes, Muskegon, Mich.
In addition to the women-only events, wo men bowlers, whether P r ofessional Women's Bowling Association members or no t, ar e inv ited to p ar ticip ate in all QubicaAMF PBA Regional Tour events where the highest placing woman (if not among the regular cashers) is guaranteed $250, and one in five women entered in each tournament is guaranteed at least a $250 prize.
In each of the PBA's regional programs, women also earn points in each tournament toward berths in the end-of-season PWBA/PBA Women's Regional Challenge special
event that will be held as part of PBA WorldSeries of Bowling VIII in Reno Nov. 27-Dec.
11. The leading women in competition points f r o m the P B A's East, South, Central, Midwest, Southwest, West, Northwest and Japan Regions will receive paid entries into WSOB VIII along with berths in the special women's challenge event. PBA Midwest Region representative Ingelimar Beasley is the defending PWBA/PBA Women's Challenge winner.
