The PBA Clash, which takes place at the Kegel Training Center in Lake Wales, FL, has come and gone and Jakob Butturff is $50,000 and one awesome trophy richer.
Butturff defeated EJ Tackett 258-244 in the championship match. While Jakob went home with the title, his game did not start out how you would expect. On his very first frame, he threw a gutter. Thankfully, he was able to convert the spare but nonetheless, it was a tough start.
It is reported that Butturff said: “If I’m executing the way I should, throwing the ball out to the gutter is my best look and where I get the best results, Obviously you don’t want to throw it (into the gutter) in a critical situation but if it’s going to happen that’s the place to do it because you have time to recover.”
Butturff received a very unique trophy for his epic win - a giant mounted bowling pin - made entirely of Legos. The show aired on FOX Sports on Sunday, November 3rd, 2019.
