Dexter Bowling recently announced that they will remain the title sponsor of the annual Dexter High School All-American Team through the 2022 season. This partnership between the International Bowling Congress Youth Development and Dexter has been established since the 2005-2006 season.
Working together, the IBC Youth and Dexter select five male and five female student-athletes based on their high school bowling accomplishments, academic achievement, recommendations, extracurricular and community involvement and their submitted essays with their applications.
It is reported that Dexter Vice President Tyler Jensen said: “Over the past 14 years, the Dexter High School All-American Team has become one of the most prestigious honors a youth bowler can receive, We are excited to continue the partnership with IBC youth to showcase high school bowlers who excel on the lanes, in the classroom and in their communities.””
Each student-athlete selected to join the Dexter High School All-American Team earns $1,000 scholarship. The one student selected as team captain also earns an extra $500 Dexter Bud Clapsaddle Scholarship. The teams are recognized each year at the Junior Gold Championships.
