bowlingball.com continues our series of Editorial articles to express opinions about the bowling industry. This article asks how do you align for the pocket when you first take the lanes?
Because this site provides editorial bowling articles, we thought it would be fun to hear from our friends where you like to line up on the lanes when you begin a competitive session.
Here is additional criteria to help you determine your response:
*Do you sight at the 2nd arrow on the lane for the pocket as a starting mark?
*Do you position your sliding shoes covering a board near the center of the approach?
*Do you walk a straight path to the foul line or allow for drift, either left or right, from your starting position on the approach?
*Do you prefer aligning to accommodate your favorite bowling ball or do you place more emphasis on using a ball which provides the best ball reaction?
*Do you vary your initial starting position on the approach based on your ball reaction or based on changing bowling balls?
*Do you line up the same as your teammates or use their alignment as a frame of reference your your alignment?
*Do you always begin using the same alignment for your feet and aim point no matter where you bowl and then adjust accordingly or do you use an alternative alignment system?
No need to answer each question but rather share your alignment technique or system with our readers as you wish to communicate.
Kindly place your comment in our blog section immediately below this article.
We thank you in advance for your participation and are anxious to read your comments.
