Heritage Lanes Wins First High School Bowling All Star Tournament

NORMAN, OK - Oklahoma High School bowling has introduced a new tournament in the 2016 – 2017 season.
The teams were made up of boys and girls from the state bowling centers that participated in the High School Bowling program. Heritage Lanes was one of the 17 conferences that sent their teams to Sooner Bowling Center in Norman OK, the host of the tournament. The format for the new tournament was an 8 game qualifying round.
After the qualifying round, the bowlers went into bracket play and had to win the best 3 out of 5 games. H eritage Lanes beat Muskogee in the first round and defeated Sooner in the semi-finals. The final match was against the team from Broken Arrow and Heritage Lanes won in 3 games. Heritage Lanes had two freshmen, one sophomore, two juniors and three seniors bowling on the team.
