The new Rapid Fire, with a highly-polished R2S coverstock, is a much hotter version than the original Fired Up. Combine that with Twin-V symmetrical weight block and you have excellent skid through the heads, midlane traction in fresh oil, and tremendous energy through the pocket. Offering outstanding versatility for different types of players and conditions, the Rapid Fire is sure to ignite your fire within.
STORM's "PRO PIN" technology is taking layouts and ball reaction to the extreme. Once only used on the Professional Tour for condition specific drilling's, these balls are now being made available in limited quantities to the general bowling public.
Why? As the requests, requirements, and styles of today's bowler changes to address new lane conditions and patterns, STORM is answering by providing and packaging these items separately from the standard first run items due to their unique nature and value.
STORM "PRO PIN" bowling balls are:
- All first quality STORM bowling balls
- Manufactured with the same high quality standards as all other STORM products
- Manufactured with the highest integrity
- Made with the same high quality materials as all other STORM products
- Great for specialized layouts and drilling options
- Potential for enhancing dynamic use of core position
- Meet all A.B.C., U.S.B.C. and P.B.A. regulations
STORM "PRO PIN" bowling balls are first quality bowling balls with pin distances over 5" from the center of gravity and top weight between 2 and 4 ounces. Through our testing, we have found that these balls lend themselves to a variety of drilling patterns outside the range of pins less than 5" which would require an extra hole to accomplish with standard pin and top weight specifications. Based on the desired reaction, some Pro Pin drilling's may require an extra hole for balance requirements.
Please visit your pro shop professional for assistance in determining the best layout for your style and lane conditions. If additional questions, please consult the "PRO PIN" Drilling instructions included in every box or call STORM Technical Services at 1-800-369-4402 or email tech@stormbowling.com

Since the breakthrough of fine tuning reaction characteristics by the use of mass bias placements in the 1990's, large pin out balls have been a staple for many STORM Pro Staffers on the professional tours. Big pin outs occur when the weight block tips to one side of the ball. The further the weight block is tipped, the more the mass is biased to one side of the ball pulling the CG away from the pin. Advantages of these balls are as follows:
-Enhanced dynamics
-Stronger preferred spin axis
-More drilling versatility
-Superior reaction characteristics
-USED ALMOST EXCLUSIVELY ON THE PROFESSIONAL BOWLING TOUR....
-Enables drillers to use larger extra holes increasing flare potential and ball reaction
The Perfect Scale™: Helping Bowlers Make Better Decisions. Because each manufacturer uses a different method for indicating a ball's hook potential, bowlingball.com developed a way for the consumer to compare bowling balls across all manufacturers.

This ball is great. Totally would recommend it to anyone.
Even though it wasn't drilled to my hand, (it was my friends ball and he has a little shorter span than I do..It is like 1/4'' off) I asked him if I could throw it in league because I had left all of my stuff at home. And man let me tell you...This ball flat out hooks. It is drilled with the pin about 3 1/2'' from the ring finger and the Cg is in the palm...So this ball is drilled for a long snappy arc....and that's what I was thrown. Hit like a train.

Really good, consistent ball. Heavy pin carry. This ball is great for league if the lanes are heavily oiled. I recommend this ball to crankers, since I'm a cranker and it works great for me. Good job Storm.

This review is on an amazing ball from Storm's Fire Line, the Rapid Fire!
The Rapid Fire features the ever proven Twin-V core that was also used in one of Storm's most successful balls ever, the Fired Up. The Rapid Fire also uses a polished solid version of the R2S coverstock that was also used on the Special Agent. By Storm combining parts of two of their greatest balls ever, they're sure to have another winner! The Rapid Fire will get through the heads well thanks to the Twin-V and the polish. And thanks to the R2S coverstock it will also make a very strong, hard move on the backend! It really is the best of the Fired Up and Special Agent all in one ball! I love the Rapid Fire, and I know you will too! Pick one up today!

This ball is great for when the lanes get a little dryer. It is a very forgiving ball and oh my god it hits hard. At any time if you are having trouble carrying pull this ball out of your bag. This is a great great ball for anyone. Why wouldn't you drill it?

Easy to control, somewhat forgivable, quite predictable, and hits like nothing I have ever seen before. I have thrown many different balls over the years but have been fairly inactive the last 3 or 4 years. My last high performance ball was the Ebonite V2 strong but I had some difficulty controlling it so I shelved it. My average is about 170ish with a Columbia Gold Dot Urethane (old faithful). I played the Rapid Fire for the first time this past Sunday in a family fun league. I shot a 223 the first game and a 289 clean the second.(I choked pulled it Brooklyn and left a 5 pin, oh well...). Enough said! This ball is the real deal and may turn out to be the best ball I have ever owned.
