COMMENTS: Big continuous angular movement here. Polished black, yellow and orange with the FatMax Core.
Likes: This ball gets through the fronts easily and gives you that "suck back" to the pocket look. Heavy rolling, big CURVE. ABSOLUT-ly!
Dislikes: I didn't like this on the heavy oil conditions. Seems to be more suited for medium conditions.

Bottom Line:Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Legendary Toughness from Hammer. The Gas Mask Core wrapped with the NBT coverstock of the First Blood? There can only be good things ahead. Already reaching all-time favorite status. Use this one out of the gate all the way through the transition period. After they break down a bit, get in and wheel it!

The BW Black/Gold quickly became one of my favorite pieces. With the legendary Gas Mask core wrapped with the Agression Hybrid coverstock gets easy length with the big back end. This one gives me about 5 more boards than the BW Gold. Another great piece by the folks at Hammer!

The Hammer Dark Legend utilizes the legendary Gas Mask core and wraps it with the Semtex hybrid cover. The 500/1000 grit polished with the Powerhouse Clean n Sheen gives this ball easy, moderate length with a solid down lane motion. Bowlers may have to take some of the polish off as it seems to lose some of it's punch as it "lane shines" quickly.

The Dark Legend Solid is a great addition to the Black Widow legendary Gas Mask Core family. If you've liked any of the Black Widows or Taboos of the past this will be one of your favorites. Wrapping arguably the greatest core in bowling history with the Semtex solid cover gives the bowler an aggressive motion with the never quitting back end reaction. Great ball when there's a bit of oil out there!

Widow Gold is my new personal favorite. I've always liked the Gas Mask Core but when it got wrapped in the Semtex Pearl with Carbon Fiber Infusion.....look out!! Angular core and angular cover stock equals HUGE backend and big carry through the pin deck.

New Cherry Vibe provides just what I remember from the classic Vibe collection. Easy length with a controllable backend. Now with the Carbon Fiber Infused cover to add better pin carry and durability.

The classic Diesel core wrapped in a carbon fiber infused hybrid cover produces a nice strong heavy roller. I love it when the fronts are flooded and the back end is fresh. The Diesel has enough traction to not over skid, and yet tame the backend with the big curve motion on the back.

Diesel Torque with the Juiced Solid cover gives this one more midlane traction than the original Diesel, yet saves enough energy for the strong continuous back end. Strong symmetric ball with a stand out color scheme. Love this one!

The Fierce Phobia uses the Semtex Hybrid cover over the Phobia core (two of my personal favorites: core and cover) creating an incredibly smooth ball with an agressive mid-lane traction. This core was designed to be a symmetrical core to align with the Gas Mask assymetric core of the Black Widow fame. Fierce Phobia is another winner from Hammer!

When Hammer says they've released their strongest ball ever, I was scratching my head a bit. After throwing this one, I was convinced early on. This one is an absolute monster. You will need some oil up-front but you will not be disappointed with the finish. I will give it a 4-5 more boards than my Scandal solids which makes it the strongest ball in my bag!!

Gauntlet Fury with the Semtex Pearl coverstock allows me to open up the lane more than with the original Gauntlet. Easier through the front but without the "squirt" you can get with some pearl covers. A great choice league night: plenty strong on the fresh and easy length with midlane pick up as you migrate in during the pattern breakdown.

Hammer has released the Phobia and is advertising it to have a symmetrical version of the famous Gas Mask core.....I couldn't agree more! Smooth, continuous rolling power through the pin deck from multiple angles. Wow! First ball out of my bag and often the last of the day too! Starting right on the fresh and migrating as the lane break down dictates. Great new, versatile ball from Hammer!!

COMMENTS: Rebel provides a controllable skid/flip with the perfect 500/1000 grit NBT Pearl cover finished off with Powerhouse Factory finish.

Likes: Love this ball on a THS because of its ease through the heads and the controllable skid/flip. Perfect ball to move in a bit and play that strong backend reaction of a THS and later games in tournaments.

Dislikes:
Heavy oil: this will not be the typical ball of choice.

The Rebel symmetric core wrapped with the NBT Solid cover, with a 500/2000 matte finish provide strong midlane traction. The back end motion is strong and continuous. This is a great benchmark ball for almost all styles and on a wide variety of conditions. A surprisingly strong piece in the mid-performance price line!

Rebel Yell with the Juiced Pearl coverstock over the Rebel core is a nice ball for Med to dry conditions. Rebel Yell gives me more length and a stronger backend than the original Rebel. I did end up scuffing the cover with a 2000 Abralon pad to smooth out the transition at the back of the pattern. Love the color scheme too!

Rhodman Pearl features a strong symmetric core with the Juiced Maxx pearl coverstock. This ball for me fits perfectly between my RIP'd and my Rebel Yell. Beautiful midlane move without the skid/snap that you get with some pearl coverstocks. Very controllable smooth power!

RIP'd combines the Scandal and Gauntlet cores, with a hybrid coverstock. I get real easy length with this one, with massive backend. I prefer going to this ball when the RIP'd solid is grabbing too early.

RIP'd solid has a core that combines two of my favorite cores: the Scandal and Gauntlet cores and wraps that with the Aggression coverstock. An assymetrical monster that doesn't burn up early. I got to throw this in Syracuse for singles and doubles, used all six games and easily just chased the lane breakdown in, never losing the reaction that I started with. Great ball from Hammer!!

The Scandal is an absolute monster! The Carbon Fiber Infused Semtex Solid cover finished with a 500/2000 out of box finish works well on heavier oiled THS as well as many of the longer sports patterns. It really blends the wet/dry oil line well. This is a strong, aggressive symmetrical piece. Great release from the Hammer folks!

Scandal Pearl with Carbon Fiber Infused Semtex Pearl cover provides good skid, mid-lane control and an unprecedented back end. Hammer's strongest pearl to date, is great for medium to heavy oil conditions. The strong symmetric Scandal core allows the bowler to get as deep on the lane as the condition calls for.

Legendary VIBE core wrapped with the CT Reactive Coverstock makes this Black Onyx a very versatile ball. Easy to read transition, with a strong midlane makes this a great piece for tougher over/under conditions with the medium volumes. Great ball for the price point!! One of my favorites!

The Viral Hybrid utilizes the long time successful Vibe Core and wraps it with the Violent Flip Reactive hybrid cover. The 500/2000 grit with Power House Factory Finish reacts more like a pearlized ball in my opinion. Not a bad option for later games and as the lane condition opens up. The cover is easily adjustable, and will sell well with the great shelf appeal of the lime green and gold pearl color scheme!

Viral Solid utilizes the very popular VIBE core wrapped in the Violent Flip Reactive Solid, finished with 1000 Abralon with Powerhouse Factory Finish polish. Nice mid-lane move without tremendous flare. Very smooth reaction giving me about 5 more boards than the silver Viral. Great ball for the price-range. A nice choice for THS for all bowling styles.
