The LT-48 is a remake of the original by name only. This ball has the newest technological advances of core and coverstock. The core of this ball is big and creates an even rolling arc type of motion. The cover is a lower friction solid black that has just enough hook. I drilled it with a 3" Pin to Pap to allow me to play further right and it works perfectly even with my higher rev rate. I bowl in a late league on wood lanes, and I am able to play about 6 boards further right than a strike king, but still have enough motion on the back to knock all 10 down. If the lanes really break down in a tournament, I can use the LT-48 in order to stay closer to the friction and not have to open up my angles. This ball is good for medium to lighter oil conditions. The LT-48 would be a good option when the Melee or Strike King is hooking too much and you need a ball to play straighter through the fronts.
