What I Was Looking For In This Ball Layout:
This was a highly anticipated release from DV8 since they had a lot to do to backup the Diva release. First of all I love a nice shiny, dark reactive piece. The name pushes this ball over the edge and I think people will like this ball based on shelf appeal alone.

Now on to the reaction. DV8 boasts this ball as the premier benchmark ball this season. The Dude offers a reactive cover wrapped around the new Dude core. I went with one of my favorite layouts and a layout that is typically first out of my bag an a house shot. I expect to see a really clean look off my hand with a strong but predictable motion off the spot.

What I Ended Up With in the Ball and Layout:
This is going to be a very special ball. This could be one of those balls that stays around for a long time based on the looks and amazing overall ball motion. In comparison to the Dive the Dude does exactly what they say it will. It offers that typical reactive ball motion without getting to jumpy or unpredictable in any one part of the lane. It was a less angular look for me compared to my Diva and I liked it.

Off my hand, just as expected it was really clean. The shiny black/purple color made the ball look like it was floating down the lane. As it started to get to some friction to the right it made a great looking move and continued on right through the deck. I think every strike I had was ten back with no deflection to be seen.

The Dude is definitely going to cause some Ruckus this season and you need to get one in your bag.
