What I Was Looking For In This Ball Layout:
For IQ fans this is the release we have all been waiting for. The IQ Tour Pearl was going to bring a controllable ball motion with an aggressive backend motion to the IQ line. Of course when we all heard it was going to be gold pearl we were even more excited.

I used a very similar layout on this ball as compared to my other IQ's except we went a little stronger with the pin and pin buffer to help keep the ball from going too long and getting behind the pocket. With this small tweak in the layout I expected to see a very smooth motion with an aggressive yet controllable move down lane.

What I Ended Up With in the Ball and Layout:
All the IQ fans will be very happy with this addition. The IQ Tour Pearl does exactly what Storm says it will do and it fits into the line very well.

Off my hand the Pearl was smooth and very controllable. It did not get jumpy when it found any friction early. The transition was the same, just very
predictable and smooth. Downlane was where this ball really shined in my opinion.

The motion off the break point was strong but not too angular. It was just enough to make it back from where ever I wanted but not so sharply that I got hung with tens. Overall I would say this ball would offer a good look when the IQ Tour was getting to early and flat downlane and when you need something to make a stronger move off the break point.
