Well, it's close but no cigar. The Rogue Cell is a HUGE step forward for Roto-Grip, but still is not the "leap" I was expecting. With all the hype around this ball, I feel it could've been improved on a little more

First off, this ball comes Out Of Box (OOB) at 4000 grit abralon... Maybe not the best choice. Personally, I feel it rolls better at a 2000 or 2000 polished finish which allows the ball to have more of an identity going down the lane. Sometimes with the 4000 you get a lot of hook-stop and ometimes you feel that it wants to read at the "first sign of contact" but keeps traveling down the lane before making a (Sometimes VERY) late move to the pocket, leaving you with a very unwanted over/under reaction.

Aside from the minor surface issues I feel the ball has, you can definitely tell that this ball wants to and will hook on the right lane condition, and when it does find the hole it's gonna carry the rack 9 times out of 10.

As stated before, I think it's a big step forward, but not quite worth all the hype that surrounded it.
