Alright so maybe a goofy name but a really cool looking ball. I was very pleased with the ball motion as soon as I threw this ball.
First, it looks awesome going down the lane. The colors come together in a really cool way and really looked great. Second, this thing rolled amazing for me. It was by far the best ball motion of the night for me.
Off my hand the Planet Earth was by far the cleanest look I had. It did not read any friction early and stayed real clean through the middle part of the lane as well. As the ball got to the break point, it went left. I was so surprised by the motion I saw down lane that I had to see it a few times before I believed it.
If you like to see a lot of direction change on the backend of the lane you have to try the Planet Earth.

About the Bowler
This ball is unbelievably good. It is one of the best balls I've ever owned actually. I bought this ball as a joke because it was only $70 bucks and I told my buddy I could beat him with even the cheapest equipment.
I'm a power tweener (15mph ball speed, 400-450 rev rate). I drilled this ball with a 4.5 inch pin (pin in ring finger, CG stacked straight down). This ball is extremely clean in the front part of the lane. The mids are also fairly clean. The backend is a ridiculously sharp left hand turn. Like we are talking this thing looks like a golf ball hitting a cement wall type of change in direction. The continuation is monstrous also. This ball reminds me of the original Roto Grip Cell for years ago, except cleaner and gets farther down the lane. This ball looks really cool too. I put orange grips and a red switch grip outer in it and it looks so sweet. I may buy another one of these balls because it performs just as good if not better than my $200+ bowling balls.

The Planet Earth by PBS is one truly fantastic bowling ball. There is no condition, no need to say a really nice ball for the price, this ball impresses period. Those bowling next to you will surely notice this great looking bowling ball as the way the colors come together it really does look like continents on a globe. This ball which is symmetric comes with a marked PSA which if nothing else, is nice for layout purposes. I drilled mine pin down (need to find my new PAP since I stopped using inserts and altered my span, pitches, and grip) but as a lefty this ball is a lot of fun. I can open the night with a straighter line and drift right throughout the night and the ball keeps carrying. I haven't had much use spare balls with the planet earth. I see myself getting another to drill pin up.
I've also messed with the surface on the ball. I like using the Global NEAT pads. I've rolled the ball with success at E (1500) A(2500) and T(4000) which is the closest to the box finish. There are very few balls that I consider buying more than one of. This ball is one of them.
I also will be trying more PBS balls. I have a Pocketability due in today (3/8/2015). It always enjoy trying balls with unique motions. It sounds like the Pocketability is just that. So Ill hopefully be writing a review for that ball late tonight after league.
These PBS balls are the real deal! At wholesale like prices, they are bowling balls you should not pass on.

the PBS planet Earth Solid symmetrical bowling ball features a higher RG Core and a 4000 grit cover stock finish which allows this ball to get very clean through the front and middle part of the lane, this ball will retain its energy as the night goes on and once it hits the friction the ball will be more angular than expected and hit the pocket.

I bought this on a whim. It is now my "GoTo" ball. I only play THS shots anymore and this works fine. 4" x 4" with pin just over ring finger. Had a weight hole but filled it up. Carries well, never over reacts except when you hit the curb on THS. Just order the hybrid...couldn't pass up $80. Trying Bowlingball.com's drilling option to see how they do. $122 for everything including drilling insurance. Can't go wrong if it hooks.

Just started bowling 4 months ago because my girl friend loves bowling. Now bowl 5 days a week. Joined a league 2 months ago pitiful 103 starting average. Got the ball 6 weeks ago to try finger tip and the price was great. My pro shop thought I wasted the $70 and gave me the standard drilling layout. First used it 5 weeks ago in league had a 482 series and thought it was great. But, they are hating me now, my lowest series in the last 4 weeks was a 642 and my average just posted is now a 167. Love it.
