Ebonite's new Raid proved to be a big performer in the mid price range.

We drilled our Raid with our favorite layout just to keep it safe. We placed the pin 5" from the PAP (5 1/8" over, 1/8" up) with the Mass Bias at 45 degrees. WOW, we were absolutely floored by the ball reaction we got from this ball. We liked our SR300 and thought the RXS300 was a wonderful ball but we did not expect this ball to do what it did. The combination of core and coverstock proved to be a winner.

If we had to place this in between two balls for you we would say less than the Black Widow but surprisingly more than the Black Widow Pearl. We were able to get 5-6 boards inside of our Black Widow Pearl on still have as much forgiveness and hitting power needed from in that deep.

We loved the reaction so much even though it may be to angular on the backend that we left the surface alone just so we could watch the ball react on the back part of the lane. Ebonite's new addition has a spot in our bag for the rest of the season.

OMG i have tommy jones raid from when pba was at geico classic.... i plugged up the thumb and started bowling with it . i stand on the first dot on the approach and get the ball out over like the deep 2nd arrow the ball ripppssss back and absoultey murders the pocket. with my toxic raw hammer i avergae a 194 with my black widow pearl i average 172 and my raid i am averging 202 in my monday league!!!!! i wil stay tuned

Just ordered the ball will have it drilled tomorrow. Hopefully it will be what its hyped up to be. Let you know after Sunday night. Just started bowling after 4 years off.

Anyone who has thrown this ball even if you are a straight bowler, like me, A cranker, tweener, etc. you will notice the crazy backend on this ball. IT'S CRAZY!!! "It's a raid in the house" for sure. (And yes I have this ball drilled so it would be legal) Ebonite you have yourself a winner with this ball, one of the best I have notice. I think im going to stick with Ebonite products for a while...

I am new to bowling with a hook. It took some time to get used to rotating my hand with consistency, but after about 2 weeks, I got reliable. This ball is amazing. If you put it in the 1-3 pocket, you will strike! Every time! My average has gone up considerably. I put the ball down on the 4 board and it holds there till the backend, then... it comes through yelling. "Hands up. It's a Raid!!"

I originally bought this ball to become a more gradual hook instead of the big back end I had with my Angular one but this ball turned out to be more angular than the Angular.
For the price of this ball its a great ball for the money and it's a really great ball.
