The market has been asking for it and you've been warned it was coming...........now the new high performance brand from Brunswick is finally here! After three years of development Brunswick proudly introduces FURY. FURY comes to market with two new technologies High Octane Coverstock and Symmetric Torsion Core Technology.

Coverstock:

High Octane Coverstock is Brunswick's latest development in Solid Color Coverstock Technology. The Ultimate & Scorchin' Inferno balls were the humble predecessors to the new performance standard of FURY. More aggressive than Activator or ActivatorMAX, High Octane coverstock provides more traction in the oil and is better able to handle the combination of hard synthetic lane surfaces and the carrydown created by today's high-tech lane oils. Fury is the highest hook potential non-particle ball Brunswick has ever produced and is our best ever combination of high hook potential, great mid-lane recovery combined with strong and continuous back-end reaction.

Core:

The Torsion core is a new core shape concept that involves applying a computerized torsion or twisting process to high-tech shapes. Brunswick testing has shown that the Torsion core should quickly become known for its high hook potential, easy revving and powerful, but controllable breakpoints. The first Torsion core is a symmetric version that requires no unique drilling techniques. Brunswick has twisted the core on the inside of the ball so you can twist it up more on the lanes. It started with a Fuze, turned into an Inferno and now comes the Fury......Feel the FURY.

Reaction Characteristics

  • Out of the Box: The FURY continues the Brunswick tradition of controlling the mid-lane to create maximum forgiveness and versatility. With its 800-grit wet sand surface, the FURY matches up well on most medium to oily house conditions.
  • When dulled: The hooking action will increase and its arc will become more even, creating a better match-up for oily lane conditions and for smoothing over/under reactions seen on wet/dry lane conditions.
  • When shined: With either Brunswick's Factory Finish "High Gloss Polish" or "Rough Buff", your FURY will go longer in the oil and react stronger to the dry creating a more skid/snap arc. High Gloss Polish creates more length than Rough Buff.

The Perfect Scale™: Helping Bowlers Make Better Decisions. Because each manufacturer uses a different method for indicating a ball's hook potential, bowlingball.com developed a way for the consumer to compare bowling balls across all manufacturers.

If you read our first review of Brunswick's Fury you would have seen us telling you to make sure that you had plenty of oil because this ball hooked and hooked early.

After a little more thought and trying different layouts. bowlingball.com's Keith Spear tested the ball and changed the surface, and found immediate success. Along with some work with Brunswick's Billy Orlikowski we decided to smooth the surface out and bring it up to 2000 grit Abralon and use Brunswick Factory Finish Rough Buff and then use Brunswick Factory Finish High Polish over that. We did that to all of our test balls and saw a dramatic positive change in the ball reaction.

Just in case you did not see our first review here is what we ended up doing. We drilled the Fury with the pin 5 1/2" from the PAP (5 1/8" over 1/8" up) with the cg back under the ring finger. After further discussion about altering the surface we also decided to place a 1" x 2" hole 2 1/4" past the PAP, to help increase flare.

We were so surprised at the difference in ball reaction from our first review that we could not believe what we were seeing. This ball is possibly the best reacting ball we have reviewed in months. Granted the other recent releases are great as well, for example the Total NV but this ball reacted much cleaner for us on our typical house shot.

With the addition of the polish we saw much more skid through the heads with a almost indescribable backend motion. It really looked as if this ball was picking up revolutions from the break point to the pins. The amount of overall hook was equal to other new releases as mentioned earlier but the ball motion was totally different.

We know that the Fury will be the ball that sets the new standard for ball reaction in the bowling industry. This ball comes highly recommended by our testers to bowlers of all skill levels as long as they realize that altering the surface may be a mandatory factor to get the impressive ball reaction that we have seen.

First off, I am a woman bowler. I have been bowling for 22 years and have averaged between 175 and 195. I am about 180 right now, age is not being kind. Anyway, I purchased the Brunswick Fury bowling ball and I shot my first 700 ever, and did it big. I shot 781. This ball is changing my game, the roll is great. I am so excited that I am going to sub on another league. I more than recommend this ball.

IF YOU DON'T HAVE THIS BALL, YOU ARE GIVING UP AN ADVANTAGE, BUY IT, YOU WILL BE ASSURED OF GUARANTEED RESULTS.

Received this ball through a pro shop seed ball program. I test a lot of balls for them. The Brunswick Fury bowling ball was way too much ball. It rolled too early, thought I would have to bag this one. I took the ball back into the pro shop and had them finish the surface up to 1000 and hit it with Rough Buff polish and some Factory Finish. WOW, this ball does not stop hooking. It actually picked up revs on the backend. It out hooked my Total NV by at least 8 boards, never thought that would happen. The backend is hard, but smooth, not jumpy. Another friend threw the ball that has much less revs on the ball and I thought we were going to get in a fight over who would get to use the ball that night in league. We bowled on pairs next to each other and we both used it. I am a high rev player with a lot of ball speed. I shot 744. He is down and in, very old school, great game though. He has a much lower ball speed than me. I played in around 18 out to 12, he went right up the 8 board, he shot 761. This ball is a keeper, Brunswick you have a winner.
If you need a ball that will hook and not stop that carries well, there simply is not anything out there like this. Kinda of like my Black Widow on steriods.

If you want your game to go to the next level, this is the ball that you have been waiting for.

The Brunswick Fury bowling ball is outstanding. First time out of the box I rolled my first 700 series ever. I have been bowling for 5 years averaging around 175-185. This ball has turned my game into something I thought it would never be - the ability to throw 5 to 6 strikes a game. I am going to buy a spare ball now, this should really improve my game, I'm even thinking of joining another league I am having so much fun. Buy this ball, you will be happy you did.

WOW, what a ball, I am not much of a reviewer, so please pardon by briefness. The Brunswick Fury bowling ball was stellar. I have had it for a week, my other balls have not come out of the bag. I am a 189 average bowler and have been for over 5 years. Never could get the corners out well. I have shot 3 leagues since getting this ball. Series of: 655, 678, and a 701, my first 700 in awhile. LOVE THIS BALL. I polished it out of the box as it was recommended and wow, where did the revs come from. The thing I like the best was it was not jumpy. Brunswick you have a Winner. Bowlingball.com, thanks for the great price and the towel and polish, plus the great service, you guys are the best. I will definitely be back, don't know for what since I have my Fury, my pro suggested that I buy another one and have it drilled differently and with a different surface polish.

The Brunswick Fury was not too impressive out of the box. Contacted bowlingball.com and they highly suggested that I use Abralon 1000 and then hit it with rough buff. Night and day. This ball got down the lane and really gave the impression that the ball was revving up. I don't have a lot of hand on the ball, but with this ball it looks like I am cranking the heck out of it. Very impressed with the balls reaction and hitting power. The guys that I bowl league with have already ordered them with this site. Great price and add ons. They can't wait to get the ball so they can catch up with me. I average 188, since getting the Fury I have shot the following series: 622,689, and 654. Would highly recommend this ball to anyone, even if your not a high rev player and like to go down and in, like me. It will take your game to places you did not think possible, at least without a lot of practice, thanks Brunswick.

I bought the Brunswick Fury bowling ball because when I play in oily conditions my ball isn't good enough so I needed a ball that hook and it does. Also, it's a good price for the specifications.

I drilled it up pin down/hole down, I hooked it less than my tame RSX300. I plugged it and drilled it 1L on drilling sheet this time I got the movement I was looking for. I should have read the reviews and drilled the ball properly and had it polished.

I had the Brunswick Fury bowling ball drilled couple weeks ago, don't have a whole lot of games on it. Pin @ 3 1/2 inches with 3oz top weight. Had it drilled leverage to get maximum hook out of the ball. Now there is a fine line between like and love in this case. I threw my first ever 300 with this ball on the 21 of Sept. If you don't have oil on the lanes though this ball does not need to be out of the bag. Ball is very sensitive to speed also, just a slight change in ball speed and reaction is completely different. All in all though if you are a consistent bowler then the ball is great for heavy oil.
