Intelligence has reported that conditions are becoming increasingly volatile. The agency recognizes this threat and has constructed a new, super device - code name: Special Agent™. Our laboratory has taken the EMC™ weight block and has encased it with the next generation of the original Reactor™ coverstock - the new R2S™ Solid Reactive. Specially formulated for medium- heavy oil, micro additives give the R2S™ amazing traction and friction.
Combined, this device produces heavier roll that smoothes out the transition and generates an unstoppable reaction to the pocket. The agency is depending on you - DO NOT FAIL

Storm's Special Agent is something special for sure.
We drilled our Special Agent very simple and left the coverstock at box finish. We placed the pin 5" from the PAP with the cg in a straight line down from it. This ball cleared the heads great, rolled strong through the middle part of the lane and still had plenty of energy left for the backend.
Leaving the finish alone was the smart choice for our tester as he was able to play inside of everyone else during our test during league. After a good first game leaving a few stubborn corner pins he shot a 300 game and ended up with a 750 series.
The ball had more forgiveness than past Storm products and plenty of versatility as he was able to continue to use it throughout the night.

Core Design:
The ball's symmetric core also is found in the pearl Agent. This fast-revving core has an RG of 2.48 and a hefty .055 Diff (these numbers are always from a 15# ball). We saw about 6" of track flare with the 3.5 and 4.5" layouts.
Coverstock:
The berry-scented solid R2S cover utilizes the flex additive found in the T-Road pearl. This cover has no pearl additive, though, and comes sanded at 2000-abralon. The flex Agent widens the ball's footprint, thus enhancing the friction in oil. The dull surface and low RG core further smooth out the reaction from oil to dry.
Manufacturer's Intent:
Storm evidently felt it needed a strong solid reactive for the heavier oils found on both league and PBA conditions. The Passion uses a very strong asymmetric core with the strong Reactor solid cover; the Special Agent uses a slightly tamer core surrounded by a stronger midlane-reading cover. The result is more down-lane (midlane to late midlane) aggressive motion with the ability to handle (read) oil transition. We all know oil moves and dissipates quickly. The fact we can't see this makes reading the transition very challenging. The combination of this new cover and proven symmetric core should
make things easier for Pete Weber, Ryan Shafer, and also us mere mortals.
Test Results:
Our tests reinforced the Special Agent's strong read in the midlane. We found we needed heavier volumes and/or longer distances of 40" or more for best results. On lighter and shorter patterns, we saw a loss of energy and entry angle. Polishing the surface helped some, but not enough to satisfy our high-carry standards. Higher speed players and lower rev rate players naturally will find more uses on drier patterns, but we did not. The roll- and transition-reading characteristics were superb, though, on the heavier stuff. On longer Sport patterns, we had excellent carry with both dull and polished from outside angles. Our 32" Sport pattern proved far too dry to have any success due to the strength of the core and cover.
When to Use:
Use on any longer or heavier volume patterns on either wood or synthetic. Higher speed players will enjoy the early read and smooth transition from oil to dry, especially when playing near the ball track or farther right on the lane. Inside angles will require longer patterns, moderate ball speeds and stronger releases. Pete Weber has such a release, as he proved by winning the PBA's Etonic Open, which used a heavy 44" oil pattern. All three Agents have their own unique roll and personality. They all have strong hook potential, but their down-lane breakpoint motions are dramatically different. The Double Agent reads the early midlane, the Special Agent reads the midlane, and the pearl Agent reads the late midlane. The slowest response to friction is the Double, medium response being the Special and the quickest response to friction by far is the pearl Agent. Too bad 007 doesn't bowl; he'd have a ready-made three-ball arsenal.

The Storm Special Agent bowling ball is a great ball for medium to heavy oil. I bought it from a friend used for only 50$ with 20 games on it. It has a strong read in the midlane with a strong arching hook.

WOW what can I say! The Storm Special Agent bowling ball is great. This ball has a lot of backend, more than my Hammer No Mercy. I honestly was throwing the exact same lines in my tournament today as posted on the Storm bowling site. Medium to heavy oil; No problem when your using a Special Agent.

The Storm Special agent is a really great ball. When the lanes are at its downs, this ball is great! But also when the lanes are fresh, this ball is a truck on the outside.

This is a fantastic ball with a very strong backend on it. I used it for a couple of months and shot a 300 game with a 750 series. Storm makes a very good product and I will now give the "Shift Attitude" a try.

I had the Storm Special Agent ball for about six months now. I bowled my third 300 game, and a big 825 series. That was my first 800. So that's why I love Storm balls. My other two 300 games came from Storm balls.

I have the Storm Special Agent bowling ball drilled with pin over the fingers. I throw 15-16 mph with a lot of revs and this ball is almost too much for my bowling centers lane conditions. I have to stand all the way to the left and throw around the 3rd arrow. Big backend with a lot of snap hook, hits like a tank. The head pin goes flying around low cleaning up any soldiers left standing.

I purchased my Storm Special Agent bowling ball a couple of months ago and I'm really get the most out of this ball!!!The last 3 weeks I've bowled in tournaments and finished 3rd twice and won one with my first 800 series an 820, including 20 in a row. This ball gives me area, some players can bring it back. Definitely a great ball to have.
