My teammate has had this ball for a while now and I can't believe how well it still works. I bought a black widow and it stopped hooking like 3 months in. I'm really happy with how mine is working now. Definitely plays well on the harder conditions, not too jumpy off the breakpoint.

The Thunderstruck Solid complements the Pearl version very nicely. This got through the heads really clean for me then made a nice move back to the pocket.

I couldn't believe it- the ball performed extremely well. I bowl in a league and my average is not that great. My team mates said to get a new ball. I finally decided to do so and bought this one. It is amazing. Each game I added 30 plus pins with this ball. I should have listened to them a lot earlier. Great service and great ball.

Just got it today UPS from here [ordered on 11/18 and it came today 11-19] and had it drilled at the local pro shop and then gave it a "spin". Lane conditions were bone dry tonight, so I will have to get use to this ball. I tried to slow my ball down some to allow for the dry conditions... But watch out! Once I get where I want it - it's nothing but perfection. I'll be on the lookout for another Storm ball!

I'm an amateur bowler and this is my first ball. It is very predictive and acts amazingly on well oiled lanes. A friend of mine uses the ball as well and loves it. Once I got it drilled and learned how to throw it, I'm bowling higher than ever before. 190 is my high with this ball. I have a lot of fun watching the ball go down the lane. I wish it had some design on it so you could really see the spin.

This review is on the Storm Thunderstruck Solid!


In my opinion, Storm's Thunderstruck Solid is a must-have for any bowler! This bowling ball is one of the most predictable balls I've ever thrown. It's an absolute life saver if you bowl a lot of tournaments and run into tough lane conditions. With its combination of the Reactor Coverstock and original Thunder core, the Thunderstruck Solid gets through the heads easily, reads the midlane great, and has a very smooth arc on the backend. This bowling ball isn't going to hook off the lane, but it'll allow you play many different lines with ease. Who can argue with Norm Duke? A lot of the time, straighter is greater! I'll give the Thunderstruck Solid the best compliment I can give any ball: It reminds me of my favorite ball of all-time, the Speed Zone. Nothing I've thrown since that ball has come as close as the Thunderstruck Solid. Just like my Speed Zone, I can throw this bowling ball on lots of different conditions, and I know what the ball is going to do. It's great to have a bowling ball in your hand that you know is going to react the same each and every time. The Storm Thunderstruck Solid is just that ball. So if you want to make those tough lane conditions look easy, or you want a ball that will kill a house shot, pick up a Thunderstruck Solid! Thanks again Storm for another great bowling ball!

What a great ball by Storm. The Thunderstruck Solid is a very predictable by as it reads the very well it is not to jumpy on the backend in the out of box finish. If dulled the ball will read the lanes earlier and give you more roll in the mid lane.
