I picked up a sure fire about a month and a half ago. i am not a great bowler but i am improving. i started throwing something besides a house ball 5 months ago. started out with a storm tropical. I moved my average above 150 and started hitting a few 200's. As i grew more consistent i learned i needed a more aggressive ball. at my skill level the decision was tough. After working with a few of the good bowlers at my local house i settled on the sure fire. I had mine drilled for an aggressive turn on the back end.I throw around 16/17 mph with a pretty high rev. our house lanes are a med to heavy oil and this ball gets through the front well, picks up and turns well at the other end. It seems to handle the oil well. if throw through the oil for a spare it loses some of its bite. i have left the ball at its out of the box finish. As long i as i keep the ball out close to the trough all is well. This ball seems to be real forgiving for me. if i get it too far it usually comes right back with good results. it seems to know where the pocket is. Since my purchase this ball is propelling me to 180 average most league nights.

200's are coming more often. i have thrown my best game of 257, and 238 the same night. i have finally gotten into the 600 series world. i would recommend this ball for a good hook learning ball and it definitely helped my consistency. has good power and pin reaction. nasty splits have become a thing of the past.

in a nutshell this ball performs better than i do. its a keeper to me.
