Morich's new LevRG was up for our test, based on past products we think we will like this one.

Pin to PAP(5 1/8" over 1/8" up) - 5"
Mass Bias Position - 45 degrees
CG Placement - 1/2" right of grip center
Balance Hole - none

Surface Preparation - 2000 grit Abralon with Brunswick Rough Buff

What I Was Looking For In This Ball Layout:
This was a predictable layout for a Morich ball for us. A little weaker than some used in the past but we kept the Mass Bias in a stronger position. I was hoping for a strong rolling reaction with a moderate amount of movement on the back part of the lane. This was intended to be a transition ball for me. If you read my reviews I drill balls for this transition part of the night a lot. Every once in a while I nail one and it does what I think. This is a tough ball reaction to find sometimes because you don't want the ball to hook a lot but you don't want it to go 60 feet either.

What I Ended Up With in the Ball and Layout:
Just what I wanted, the ball is the heaviest rolling ball in my bag currently and it hits like a truck. I knew this type of ball motion was very common for Morich and especially with the new larger EZ Rev core I think I nailed this ball reaction.

In the front part of the lane the ball is strong and makes a nice move to set up for one of the best mid-lane ball reactions I have see in a long time. The ball transitions into the mid-lane beautifully and does not quit that motion on the back. The ball hits so hard and really keeps the pins low to the deck which greatly increases carry.

I only threw this ball for about half a game in the middle of the night but it served its purpose well. Next week I am going to try to bring the surface back to box finish (1000 grit) and give it a try earlier on in the night. If you have watched the PBA the last few weeks you have seen Walter kill them with this ball and I think he is using a little more surface.

I just want to see how much stronger this ball gets with a little surfce on it. Overall another great ball from Mo and anyone who has liked his stuff int he past will like this one as well.

About the Bowler

First off I love this ball. At the beginning of the season I changed equipment from Ebonite to Roto Grip and watched my average drop from a 185 to 170 needless to say it wasn't a good match, not saying Roto Grip don't make great ball it's just I couldn't figure them out. Right before I was about to go back to Ebonite and get a Total NV I saw Walt Ray throwing a very ugly ball but it read the lanes great. So I decided to get a Morich LevRG. Since I got this ball my average is up to a 188 and only been under 600 series twice with it and had a 722,693,687 with it. I play inside with this ball right around 15 out to 10 the key is to this ball is to keep it polished up or it will start to over hook. Thing to remember is that don't buy a ball for color pattern, buy it for how it reads the lanes oil pattern and that it suits your bowling style.

I bought an Awesome Finish, and I thought that this was the ultimate ball for me. Don't get me wrong, it punishes the pinsand I love it, but I tried the LevRG, and the AF is now the second ball out of my bag (and I hate to say...if I need it). I've bowled the first half of my 36 week league with my Awesome Finish, and it raised my average 13 pins, Then I bowled the second half of the season with my LevRG, and the LevRG raised my average 14 pins on top of that (179 to start, 206 now and still climbing!). I've never scored as high with any other equipment (3-700's, a 290, and many games in the 260's). I really think you can't go wrong with ANY Morich product! Mo knows bowling! I'm about to get an 'nsane LevRG because the league I bowl in gives free balls to all as prizes. I don't see how this new ball could possibly be better than my LevRG, but, then again, I thought the same thing about the Awesome Finish when I bought my LevRG. Oh, the surfaces on both balls were not altered a bit...box condition right from the start, but they are cleaned nightly. Gotta take care of that equipment! THANX MO!!

First set with it out of the box I shot 793 (257,257,279) I thought it was amazing then now it does nothing for me. I keep all my bowlingb balls well maintenenced. This ball soaks up way to much oil and I can never get a consistent roll out of it.

One of the best balls I have bought in awhile. I used to bowl with a Brunswick Fury and really enjoyed how I can trust that ball without hesitation that it will always come back in and hit the pocket even if I throw it wrong. This ball is exactly the same except more aggressive in the backend. Throw it with a little finesse and watch it smash the pins! Perfect for medium to dry lanes. Love it! I'm now a Morich fan for life!

this ball is fantastic!! it really finishes strong, but after a few games, you have to get the speed up. this ball hits really hard, and the only really bad thing is that i cannot carry a light hit. (it might just be me?)

Just picked this thing up in a trade off of a teammate, and let me tell you, it has got to be the best investment I've ever made by far. Pin is 2" and drilled below ring finger. The ball set-ups mid line, and starts a strong smooth roll to the pocket, on the normal house pattern I can push it fast down 15, or let it fly out to the 2 board, and this ball will just hold anywhere for me and crush the pocket.

FIRST game with the ball in practice unfortunately, 300. 811 series (again unfortunately in practice). Did Get some GREAT RETRIBUTION though during league the following night. 299 (Flat 10-pin due to horrible release), AND 807 series. BACK TO BACK 800 series with this ball, and it's the only two I've bowled, Can't go wrong there. Holding a 236 average in that league, if I keep my focus, I see it rising up to 245 by the end of the year with this ball.

I see this ball being very versatile for me in the future, it adjusts to speed and hand positions great, letting you burn the dry up with speed, or push it down 5 in oil with hand. I'd recommend this ball to anyone and everyone, and I plan on picking up the Ntense ASAP, get that one drilled for length and arc.
