Pin length from axis point is 4 ½ inches and below fingers. When the lanes are torched in the front this ball has no problem clearing the heads. Compared to the Cherry Vibe, the Emerald Vibe isn’t as sharp in the backend when it makes its turn. This ball is perfect for lanes with lots of friction in the front or late blocks in tournaments.

First off this ball looks great! Drilled for length and moderate backend, however the ball hooked a lot more than I expected. Once I found my mark the ball just crushed the pocket. Ridiculous backend power and carry for a mid priced ball. Shot a 230 first game with the ball. This was the first Hammer product I purchased and it won't be my last. GO GET THIS BALL!!!!

This ball has really improved my game alot. I have never throw so many 200 and 300 games in my life. the backend in this ball will totally shock you when you have a good ball and get a strike. If you throw the ball soft it will have alot of revs and it will have alot more backend than usaull.

I was hoping that this ball would go a little longer than my Pearl Cell. Today I threw it for the first time and it reacted about the same as my cell, with a little snappier back end.The Vibe does tend to be more speed sensitive than my cell and hook a little more severe, but if your looking for a ball for heavy oil this is very nice.I'm a 59 year old bowler and can't keep the speed up as when I was younger but I still throw the ball at a pretty good clip.So if your a Senior and your ball isn't hooking give this ball a try it's an excellent ball for the money.

I have found this ball very useful. The only thing wrong with it is, it is a lot stronger than Hammer advertises. I actually needed to buy the Razyr because the vibe is too stong for one of the very dry houses I bowl at. I would recommend this ball to anyone needing length and backend in medium to medium dry lanes.

My PAP: 5 1/4" over by 3/4" up. 15-15.5 mph. Above average revs. I'd say I'm somewhere in between tweener and cranker.

Drilling: 5" pin to PAP, above my bridge.

OOB: 4000 + Polish: At first I was unsure about this ball. I expected something more like my Blue and Cherry Vibes. What I got was something totally different. Even with my Emerald drilled pin under my fingers, it really stores a lot of energy for the back part of the lane. Glides through the heads with total ease, very little midlane reaction, and has a pretty sharp move on the back. Overall hook potential is higher than both the Blue and Cherry as well. I'm able to comfortably throw this thing on THS, and it's probably 5 boards or so weaker than my Psycho. The hit and carry will impress you, especially for such an inexpensive ball. I've been a big fan of all the Vibes, and this is quickly becoming my favorite one. Looks really good going down the lane as well.

Great bang for your buck. The only shot I can't really see using this thing on is long and/or heavy oil. I think there are better choices for those types of conditions, but if you're really determined to play it I'm sure you could move far enough right.

Matt

I got talked into this ball by the guy at the pro shop and I am so mad I did. I needed a ball for heavy oil in league play and this is not the ball for that. I had an old urethane hammer for about 15 years which i loved but needed replacement. This ball is useless on medium to heavy oil lanes. No hook at all and little movement on the backend. It has worsened my game.
