Drill: Pin 3 3/8" from PAP, below fingers, CG on thumb.
Surface: OOB.
Style: High rev.
Speed: Medium (17 MPH)
Average: 211 on a THS.
The Good: The Pain has a clean arc in oil. Predictable hook and carry.
The Bad: The ball tends to jump and roll out in the dry.
The Skinny: I actually use my Doom early, then switch to the Pain later, moving left and keeping it a few boards from the dry. The Pain bites more than the Doom, so I can swing it, clear the heads and make it back.

My average is a 200 now, and getting higher. I just added a Storm Trifecta to battle heavy oil conditions where the Pain doesn't flip early enough, but on the other hand; I love the pain. :)

My PAIN has a 2.5" pin that is outside of and above ring finger (@ 1:00 position), with CG kicked out another 1.5" This gives the ball a "little" more clearing of heads, but it still wants to start hooking relatively soon.
This is my primary heavy oil ball. Therefore, I keep its surface no higher than Abralon 1000, but have also taken it down to 500 when needing to slop through heavier sludge, and it has no problem doing so.
Back-end reaction is pure power. I don't have a a lot of hand, yet this ball more than makes up for it on wetter conditions.
I'm a big fan of the Raw Hammer series, as I also have a Toxic and two Dooms. I simply love the way these things hit (which is quite hard)!
If you can no longer get a PAIN, I recommend you seriously consider the new Raw Hammer Anger (which, I admit, I don't have). However, since the Anger has a modified version of the "standard" Raw Hammer core, as well as a matte finish like the PAIN, it seems like it could very well be similar to its older PAIN cousin.

I have bowled two 300 games and a 797 and 832 series with this ball since getting it in Nov. 06. I am lefty and have the ball drilled with the pin under ring finger and the cg kicked out at 9 o'clock with weight hole.
