Jigsaw starts out with a brand new core for Hammer. We started building Jigsaw with a low rg, high differential core system. But we didn't stop there. Our R&D team removed a critical piece of the puzzle from the core, and created an extremely high mass-bias wedge in the core shape.

The result is the highest mass-bias ball in the history of Hammer! High mass-bias core shapes give the bowler more backend reaction and continuation without loss of energy, and the Jigsaw certainly delivers that!

We've also developed a new coverstock for our Jigsaw release. Our new Gription Reactive 5/4 Coverstock is unique in two ways. First, this coverstock is a breakthrough for us in length and backend combination. Our mad scientists have developed this coverstock to push through the front of the lane cleaner than any sanded ball in our line. But the midlane and backend is where this coverstock pairs up with the core system, and takes control.

Jigsaw rolls heavy through the midlane and doesn't stop in the backend. This is truly a unique ball reaction that we simply have not seen before. The Jigsaw comes in a never-used, Black and White color with Orange logos.

Finally, our new coverstock finishing process has been applied to the Jigsaw to create a unique ball motion. Our new 500/4000 process gives the Gription Reactive 5/4 coverstock the ability to skid through the front part of the lane without early hook. But, the 500 grit under-surface gives Jigsaw's Gription Reactive 5/4 coverstock the teeth to cut through the downlane oil, giving this ball the most backend reaction in the history of Hammer products!

The Perfect Scale™: Helping Bowlers Make Better Decisions. Because each manufacturer uses a different method for indicating a ball's hook potential, bowlingball.com developed a way for the consumer to compare bowling balls across all manufacturers.

The Hammer Jigsaw introduces an all new core the Hammer's ball line.

Pin to PAP(5 1/8" over 1/8" up) - 5 1/2" above ring finger
Mass Bias Position - 4" from PAP right of thumb
CG Placement - just above center of grip
Balance Hole - none

Surface Preparation - Out of Box (500/4000 Grit Abralon)

What I Was Looking For In This Ball Layout:
Well luckily I got to see this ball go down the lane quite a bit while in Las Vegas at Bowl Expo. They run a large Demo out there as part of their show and so I had some knowledge of what to expect before putting holes in this one :)

As you can tell by looking at the Jigsaw, it is going to hook. With the addition of the new Jigsaw core and super aggressive Burst Reactive 5/4 cover this ball should not meet a heavy oil condition it can't handle.

What I Ended Up With in the Ball and Layout:
Wow, the Jigsaw literally runs laps around every other Hammer ball to date. I was most surprised by the amount of skid I got through the heads even with the new 500/4000 Abralon surface prep. What they do here is hit the ball with 500 grit Abralon and then go back over the surface with 4000 grit Abralon to smooth it out while the under grit helps the ball bite on the back.

The Jigsaw does all of the above. Even though there is absolutely no way we could throw this ball towards the third game of a regular league it sure would be fun to throw in the beginning. The amount of hook we saw as the ball came
off the back end was amazing. The power it had left at the pins was perfect. If you are wanting something that hooks and still has enough to hit hard the Jigsaw is perfect for you.

I'm a 205 avg. and have a number of bowling balls. The Jigsaw was advertised as the Hammer's answer to Storm's Virtual Gravity in which I have one with over 350 games on it and let me say I was soooooo disappointed with the Jigsaw it is not even close to the Virtual Gravity even with 350 games on it. The Jigsaw does not move or have any back end at all. I had it drilled exactly the same as my Gravity, actually my Twisted Fury broke more and had more back end and it is drilled to skip flip. I bowled two games with it and threw it back in my back thinking that I just WASTED $143.00 plus $50.00 in drilling on this piece of junk. I am a Storm and Hammer ball man but after this Jig-Junk I will never buy another Hammer product period. I would not buy a Jig Saw consider yourself fully warned. R.L

I got my Jigsaw and immediately had it drilled like my other favorite bowling balls. I will say that it reacts OK but I was a bit disappointed. Other than being a new ball I did not get the reaction on the back end that I was hoping for. It was weaker on the backend than I was looking for. I tried it at another bowling center and got the same thing. I found it to be much weaker than my Hot Sauce Pearl and even my Black Widow Venom. I will give it a few more games and re-review if necessary. The ball was laid out the same and fills great on my hand, just kinda dies and hits weak.

I like this ball, but definitely not my favorite. I just got this about a week ago and i'm throwing a little inconsistently, but when i do get the perfect throw the ball hits like a hammer (pardon the chessy pun).

I like my Rouge Cell a little better, but i'm sure with a little more time with this ball, i'll get it to roll perfectly like my Rouge Cell.

Don't listen to the people who put "2 stars" and say it's crap. It's a great ball, but maybe not perfect.

This ball is amazing. It will be the ball to have. You can shine it, you can sand it, very controllable even on lighter shots. You don't need to have alot of hand to make this ball work even on heavy oil.

I bought this ball 3 weeks ago to use on long oil patterns and heavy oil sport patterns. This ball exceeded my expectations. I had the ball drilled pin 4" from pap with the pin drilled out on ring finger, cg stacked with MB below my thumb and to the right. With the box finish at 4000 i wasn't getting the back-end i wanted, then I changed the finish to 2000 abralon and WOW what a sweet reaction.

WATCH MY CUSTOMER SUBMITTED VIDEO PLEASE. CLICK ON IT TO RATE AND COMMENT .

I am a tweener with 275 rev count, a med speed med revs player and this finish works for me. Unless you have high revs I suggest 2000 abralon.

In heavy oil this ball glides through the heads, makes a slight turn mid-lane then a nice strong controllable back-end to the pocket with little or no deflection. I love this ball. Very smooth and consistent. I hope you enjoy my video. Please rate and post comments. Thank you.

About the Bowler
Bowling Hand    Right Handed

Ball Speed    Medium
PAP    5 3/4 over 1/2 inch up

PAP- 5 1/2" over 1/2' up

Had this piece drilled duel angle 45 x 4in x 35. I had this ball about a montth now and I'm only writing this review because I think the ball is getting a bad rap on the reviews. Out of box I didn't like this ball and neither did my friend that got one at the same time.I have a high rev rate and medium speed and this ball just wasnt reading the mid lane and was a little weak at the break point. So I took the cover down to a 1000 abralon and the ball came to life and in a major way. Still clean thru the heads with still pleanty of energy stored, and comes roaring back on the backend. If this ball isn't working for you I would strongly recommend changing the cover. THIS IS A GOOD BALL and yes hits hard!

At the beginning I was disappointed with the new Jigsaw, but with a bit of experimenting on medium oil and slowing down the speed I was able to throw 18-10 and this ball just seemed to have a magnet to the pocket, this is by far the

best I have seen going through the front oil and with the right speed gives me options on different angles and oil patterns,I was averaging 35 pins over my average and was playing multi angles, this could be a new trend with future

Hammer balls, one ball to play multi conditions,I don't think Hammer was thinking this way when they develop the Jigsaw so should be interesting what the future holds for this concept.I have change my opinion on this ball from the first time throwing it to being the first ball out of the bag...be prepared to change balls when the lane starts breaking down, this ball MUST have oil or you will be taking out the 7 pin on your first through.

I have just bought a Hammer Jigsaw and my early take on I would have to say at this stage a bit disapointed, this ball moves through the oil nicely but does not have the backend that Hammer claims,my early indication is that it will be a good ball to play up the right side and swing it about 5-7

boards(10-5,12-6).I was hoping to play more inside with it and on medium oil could not get the backend I wanted(18-10),ball just would't turn enough.I own a Black Widow,The

Sauce,Cell and a NVS to name a few. Will play with the surface a bit to see if it changes, does hit the pocket hard but worst comes to worst I will find a place for it in my ball range. Will try it in another house, normally I don't like to modify the surface on a new ball but one review said he did and had great results.Always liked the Hammer line and I'm sure a bit of sanding will bring on more backend.
