No problem, we will walk you through a transaction step-by-step.
Step 1: Finding The Item You Want
At the top of the screen there is a search box. If you are looking for a specific item, you may enter the item you are looking for in the search. If not, there are several categories located on the navigation bar at the top of the page, under the header. These categories have been organized to help you find what you are looking for.
Step 2: Learning More About Your Item
Once you have found an item you would like to purchase or would like to see more information on an item, click on the image of the item. This will bring you to a page that describes the item in further detail.
Step 3: Adding Items to Your Order & Selecting Special Offers
Then if you have decided you would like to purchase this item, select the options you would like (ex.: weight, size, color, style etc.) and click the "Add To Cart" button.
After you click "Add To Cart" you will be brought to a page that will list recommended accessories. If you decide you want add one of these items to your order input the amount of the item(s) you want to add then click "Add Accessories and Continue Shopping". If not then click "No Thank You, Continue Shopping".
The next page you will be brought to will have a list of free gift items you can add to your order. You don't pay the cost of these items and pay no additional shipping, but there is a handling fee associated with each item you add from the free gifts list. If you decide to add a free gift item(s) to you order enter in the amount you want and then click "Add My Free Gifts". If not, then click "Continue Without My Free Gifts".
Step 4: Order Review & Special Requests
At this point you will be brought to a page that shows your current order. Listing the items you have in your order, their costs, the options you have selected and the item(s) quantity.
You can also change the quantity of items in your order by clicking in the box under the "Qty" and changing the number there. That number represents how many of that item you plan on purchasing.
If you decide that you have changed your mind and don't want an item on your order. Don't worry just click the remove button next to the quantity box and it will remove that item from the order.
If you have any special requests you can enter them in a text box located under the items you plan on purchasing.
If you still want to purchase other items, simply use the top navigation bar or search box, as described in step 1, to continue shopping. If not then you can choose one of the checkout options that are under your order information. Each checkout option has a description that will guide you through the process of using it.
Step 5: Checkout
While checking out fill out all the information that is required, the form will tell you what is required and what is not. After that, confirm your information and payment method then your order will be placed. Don't worry if there is any information that you have left out, the ordering process will not complete and will give you a chance to correct any mistakes. Once the order is placed you will see a confirmation message and an e-mail receipt will be sent to you for your own records. We will also contact you as soon as possible with tracking information from UPS.

To place an order by mail follow the instructions below.
- Place all the items in your shopping cart that you would like to order.
- Proceed to checkout for the items you have selected.
- Fill in your billing information
- Fill in your shipping information
- Under payment type, select Money Order or Cashier's Check
- Confirm all the information is correct
- Click Place Order
Our mail address will appear with your order number and at this point you will just need to mail us your payment. Be sure to enclose your order number.

Requesting Ball Specifications
If you are looking to request bowling ball specifications, it is simple here at bowlingball.com. Bowlingball.com guarantees specs within 1/2" for Pin and 1/2oz for Top Weight. Gross weight guarantee will be within 3oz. Here is a set of simple instructions starting from the point of selecting your ball to adding specs to help you make your request:
Option 1
Below the drop down boxes for weight/size and other options, there is a link that reads "PRODUCT SPECIFIC REQUESTS" Click on this link to open the dialog box for specifications.
Option 2
During the checkout process you may enter your specifications in the "Customer Notes" box. (Label for which ball if multiple specifications on multiple bowling balls ordered.) Once you finish entering your bowling ball specifications you may continue through the order placement process. The specifications you chose will be included on your order so we know what you desire for you bowling ball.
Sales Tax
Sales tax only applies to Florida residence and only on merchandise, not on shipping. The current rate is 6.5%.
If ordering from outside of Florida but wish to have it shipped to an address in Florida, sales tax will apply.

On the top of the web page there is a "Categories" bar that has the categories of items that we sell on bowlingball.com. Each dropdown menu allows you to browse by the full category itself, or by more specific terms such as "Manufacturer", "New Releases", and "Packages" being the most common choices per category. Each Category has a more in depth breakdown of selections as well. For an example, the Bowling Ball category. It allows you to browse by "Performance", "Core Type", "Lane Condition", and "Finish" to name a few.
Shopping By Search
Located in the upper left portion of the website is the search box. This easily allows you to find the products you desire quickly. This allows you to bypass searching by categories and locate your product as fast as possible.

Located on the lower left portion of the bowlingball.com homepage, a shopper can view the Top ten Products or Searches of "Balls", "Bags", "Shoes", and "Accessories". This allows each shopper to see what many other bowlers are interested in equipment wise and will show you what other bowlers have been purchasing most recently. This also allows you to quickly find a popular item you are interested in and give you more time to research it instead of browsing through other products for the one you wish to view.

bowlingball.com has created our own hook rating scale. Because each manufacturer uses a different method for indicating a ball's hook potential, bowlingball.com developed a way for the consumer to compare bowling balls across all manufacturers. The result: The Perfect Scale™. Our goal is simply to make it easier for our customers to compare products and feel confident in their purchases.
The Perfect Scale™ ranges from 1 to 300. Plastic bowling balls with very low hook potential, rate a 5. The highest number achieved on the scale to date is 222.8. As you can see, we've left room for improvement on our scale in anticipation of new technologies that will add additional hook potential. Most manufacturers had been forced to alter their existing scales as their products change.
The Perfect Scale™ uses mathematical formulas along with the manufacturer's current scale to arrive at a uniform and comparable number. The Perfect Scale™ allows you to compare products based on hook potential. When comparing products, make sure to also take into account other factors that can impact the performance of your bowling equipment, such as your bowling ability, additional ball characteristics provided in the ball description, lane conditions at your local bowling center, etc.

bowlingball.com is happy to offer professional drilling service on all bowling balls, a convenient service that can save you time and money! We have a full staff of professionals on site with over 50 years of ball drilling experience. We use a top of the line Vacu-Jig Milling System that enables our professional staff to drill all equipment with pin-point precision. Getting your new bowling ball professionally drilled just got easier!
bowlingball.com offers two types of drilling services to meet your bowling needs:
Custom Drilling Service
This service is recommended for advanced bowlers who currently own their own custom fit bowling ball. Custom drilling services can cost anywhere from $50 to $70. Installation of finger inserts, thumb slugs, switch grips, and thumb molds are also available for custom drilled bowling balls.
Basic Drilling Service
This service is recommended for the recreational bowler who would like to own their own bowling ball. This is a basic conventional layout using an average for the span and hole sizes. Standard drilling services can cost anywhere from $30 to $50.
Below is a table of the right handed (Reverse Ring/Middle for left handers) measurements used to drill your bowling ball. They are given for informational purposes only and are not guaranteed.

The fit of this service is not guaranteed and minor adjustments may have to be made to the hole sizes once the ball has been received. We will finish off all the holes and the ball will be ready to bowl with once it is received.
Drilled bowling balls may not be returned for any reason other than a manufacturer defect. Ball fit and reaction are not guaranteed by bowlingball.com. Drilling charges cannot be reimbursed.
