Pin length from axis point is 5 inches and above fingers. This is a great compliment to the Gamebreaker, it provides that extra 4 or 5 feet desired when the Gamebreaker starts to burn up. If the Gamebreaker is in your bag, the Playmaker should be sitting beside it.

Yesturday is the first time I used this. The Ebonite Playmaker ball is one of the best balls I have ever used. The Playmaker hooks just enough. I am thinking about getting another Ebonite ball.

Bought this ball from bowlingball.com and had it drilled the same as "The One" i currently bowl with. My average has went down for 6 weeks in a row. I am currently averaging 177, with my high game this year being 227. Used this ball straight out of the box after it was drilled and shot a 644 series with a high game of 234. I would recommend this to anyone. It rolls very smooth and you can miss by a couple boards and this ball will carry the pins. Best ball i have ever owned. This is twice the ball that "The One" is.

This ball goes real long and doesn't flip on the backend. Easy to control. I like it a lot because it didn't have a big arc. Like I said, long and easy to control is the main keys of this ball.

For my first ball I have ever bought and drilled to fit my style this ball is a hair shy of perfect. The only thing is i wish it had a little harder hook at the end, but that is an easy adjustment. I had a league average of 156 and the first league game i bowled with this ball was a 186. My league average is now a 175 so I would say this ball is just what the doctor ordered for my style of play.

All I can say about this ball is that it is a hard hitter. It is very easy to control. I want to thank the gentleman at bowlingball.com who drilled this ball for me. He did a wonderful job.

I Crank it down the lane its a great shot for me not good for me when the lanes start to dry up, back end of the shot is great. I've had the ball a year now im not getting rid of it anytime soon.

Hmm I got a playmaker a few days ago and wow what a diffs it made!! I shot a 755,745, and 300 game its a great ball reads the lanes and controling the ball is easy ! thxs ebonite

Thought I post this review after I have used it for > 200 games. This is my benchmark ball and here are the things i love about it for a THS:

a) great length and i can use it for most lane conditions.
b) flexible coverstock allowing me to play inside or outside when necessary.
c) very forgivable when i make mistakes and misses the target. doesnt over react.
d) very hard hitting ball and most importantly, it carries a very predictable path allowing me to make minor adjustments.

If you are fan of ebonite products...or even if you are not, do give this ball a try. You will not regret it. It is very flexible and very forgiving. It is not as 'fancy' as some of the storms out there but definitely a must in your arsenal. Eg: If your storm hy-road is coming in too strong and you need something just a bit less...the playmaker would be it.
