Pin to PAP Distance: 4 3/4"
Preferred Spin Axis to PAP Distance: 5"
Balance Hole: None
Surface Preparation: Box Condition

What I Was Looking For in this Ball and Layout:

In my preparation for the Mini-Eliminator, High Roller, and True Amateur Tournament in Las Vegas, I was looking for a ball that just flat out hooked. No better way to find this than to drill the newest, most hooking ball on the market in a fairly aggressive position. I chose the Infinite One due to its coverstock aggressiveness and differential.

What I Ended Up With in this Ball and Layout:

I ended up with exactly what I wanted, which isn't too hard to predict given the ball that I drilled. The Infinite One is very aggressive in the front part of the lane and needs sufficient head oil to clear the front. I've chosen to leave my Infinite One in the box condition for the tournament swing coming up. My impression is that the ball may get through the heads slightly easier with some coverstock tuning. But this coverstock is simply aggressive and should only be thrown in heavier amounts of head oil.

I placed the pin in a 4 3/4" location from my positive axis point to ensure that the ball flared plenty. My goal is to use this reaction on the fresh conditions in Las Vegas when you need all the hook you can get. The Infinite One flares approximately 7" for me with this pin position. Consequently, this ball tends to make a smoother transition at the breakpoint as it is losing axis rotation quickly. I placed the preferred spin axis in a 5" position to create a smooth look down lane and to help retain axis rotation as much as possible. When you are looking at drilling aggressive surface balls with aggressive pin position, always make sure to use a slightly weaker preferred spin axis position to make sure the ball does not hit the pocket dead on arrival.

The Infinite One hooks far more than anything else in my bag. It is a few boards more than my Big One, and is arrows more than my One and Big Time series balls. If you are looking for the newest, most hooking ball that still has pop at the end of the lane, the Infinite One is the ball you are looking for.

First of all, I am 58 years old, loft it too much and throw it a little to hard. I am always looking to buy hook and the Ebonite Infinite One bowling ball fills the bill. Averaging 216 for my 3 games a week, I want to create area and carry the off hit. The Infinite One does that for me. I keep it clean and use the 500 grit pad that came with it every other week. It carries the soft 10 and will open a rack. A definite buy for anyone that wants to be able to miss right and get it back with carry.

Before owning Ebonite's Infinite One bowling ball I had been shooting with the Brunswick Scorchin' Inferno. At first, I was very impressed its hook potential, but it quickly lost its backend. The Infinite One has saved my season. I normally had a 160ish average, which dropped all the way down to 149. But with the Infinite One, I've been shooting well above my average. It provides a strong, predictable hook. Since I got this ball, I haven't shot below 500, and have topped out at 562. This ball is relentless and very forgiving.

As you can tell by my other reviews, I am a bowling ball junkie. I am always on the prowl for the BEST bowling ball I can find. By best I mean consistant, forgiving, hard hitting, corner pin carrying, best breaking..overall the best bowling ball I can find. With Ebonite's Infinite One bowling ball I believe I have found it. It out hits anything I have used. It out breaks and is the most forgiving of any ball I have used or seen. I shot a 648 and a 682 the first 2 series with this ball on medium and heavy oiled lanes. Neither my Columbia EPX T1, Storm Trifecta, AMF Terminal Velocity, Columbia Professional, Hammer Hawg or Storm Vertigo can not hold a candle to this ball. If you are looking for a ball that will improve your game...this, in my opinion, is the one...The INFINITE ONE!!!

If you buy it, you won't regret it.

The Ebonite Infinite One is the best bowling ball I have ever owned. It has a lot of back end hook, and it works very well on oiled lanes.

This is a great ball hooks nice down the lanes. I give it a 9 out 10 on it's hook. I have a fury and it's almost as good as it on hook.

The Ebonite Infinite One is the best ball I have bowled with. I throw extremely hard and depend on my ball to have a strong backend. The plain and simple the ball help my game and now I am very consistent. I changed to the Infinite mid-season last winter league and shot 12 700 series, shot my high game of 289, solid 10 pin on 11th shot, and improved my average from 186 to 208. This year I started with a 215 average.

Right out of the box this ball was amazing. I was bowling with a Brunswick Scorchin' Inferno for almost a year, and was thoroughly disappointed with the reaction. Then I bought this ball, best value for the money ever in my opinion. On really slick lanes this ball had the strongest recovery I have ever seen. Even a year later, as the ball is now dead it still has some fight in it. I know the Total NV has just been released, but if you find this ball I still suggest buying it. It will never leave you stranded in any lane condition.

The Ebonite Infinite One bowling ball for the most part provides a strong back end reaction but, it's a little jumpy at times. Also it tends to break a little late for my tastes leaving splits more often than I would like, but I also throw harder than most. Overall it's a good ball.
