The Ultimate Inferno is a heavy oil ball designed for bowlers who prefer Reactive over Particle coverstocks. The Ultimate Inferno uses the same core as the original Inferno but combines it with a solid 800-grit dull version of Activator coverstock.

Brunswick's new Activator Coverstock has quickly established a reputation for excellence in ball reaction, durability and longevity of ball reaction. On the lanes, Activator Coverstock is clean through the heads with excellent mid-lane recovery and a strong arcing back-end reaction that creates powerful pin action. Owners of the original Inferno have reported that it requires less frequent resurfacing and rejuvenations and is more resistant to cracking than other reactive coverstock balls.

Compared to the original Inferno:

-The Ultimate Inferno will match-up better to oily lane conditions, longer patterns and heavy carry down.

-The Ultimate Inferno will match-up better for bowlers who struggle with excessively long ball reaction.

-The Ultimate Inferno will match-up better on heavily oiled - over/under lane conditions.

Brunswick's new Activator Coverstock has quickly established a reputation for excellence in ball reaction, durability and longevity of ball reaction. Utility

Out of the Box: The Ultimate Inferno is an ideal heavy oil ball for players wanting to use a Reactive coverstock.

When shined:

Using Brunswick's Factory Finish High Gloss Polish the total hooking action of the Ultimate Inferno can be reduced and the arc made more skid/snap.

Reaction Setup

The Brunswick Inferno can be drilled using the standard drilling techniques developed for two-piece balls, see the included drilling instructions for reaction characteristics and layout details.

The Ultimate Inferno is finished with a dull 800-grit surface finish which increases its hooking action in the oil. Dull surface finishes can sometimes hook too early resulting in reduced backend reaction and hitting power. To increase length, polish the surface with Brunswick's Factory Finish High Gloss Polish.

The Perfect Scale™: Helping Bowlers Make Better Decisions. Because each manufacturer uses a different method for indicating a ball's hook potential, bowlingball.com developed a way for the consumer to compare bowling balls across all manufacturers.

Wow what a find the Ultimate Inferno did not think i would ever get my hands on another. But there is always hope with Bowlingball.com The one i picked 3 inch pin drilled pin under ring finger with cg 2 1/2 inches from val line. This gives myself a strong roll without losing backend. So if you need a ball for the USBC NATIONALS or ball for med-heavy oil this is the one. ORMOND PRO SHOP MANAGER

i'm left handed throw the ball around 16 mph i'm a mix between a cranker and a stroker and i have a 227 league average this is my favorite ball ever i have had it for 4 years shot several high 700 series and many many games above 270 with it and just shot a 300 with it this ball will hook in oil an have a hard backend and it hits like a ton of bricks i would suggest everybody have one of these its not the ball for dry lanes though if you have that it will hook off the lane but for oil its great

God this ball rocks! I bought this ball from my local pro shop 3 yrs ago and it was a good investment. I throw the ball hard but not with a lot of revs. One guy My team was bowling against stated that my ball hit the pins harder than anyone else in the alley!! Not actually true but it proves this ball hooks and hits like a tank! Brunswick stopped making this ball so buy em up, once they are gone they are gone. I just got a brand new one and I can't wait for my league to start up! Three other bowlers in my league have this ball as well and they all love it. I might get a Fury too.

Have bowled with the Twisted Fury and Ultra this year. Bought this ball about 6 weeks ago hoping it would give me the back end reaction that the Fury and Ultra weren't giving. This ball has done that and more. Not a cranker...ball speed 15-17 and usually work the outside (5th to 7th board). This ball is very predictable and I can adjust accordingly as the oil on the lanes change. Definitely not a 10 pin ball. Very forgiving ball! Took a 170 average to state 2 weeks ago and shot a 631 scratch with this ball. Will definitely get another one of these while bowlingball.com has them for later use. Highly recommended!!

This ball is very impressive. I have thrown many bowling balls and nothing has such a strong and smooth roll. I have had this ball for over a year and it just keeps going and going.

The Brunswick Ultimate Inferno bowling ball is my favorite ball. I have it drilled with the pin above the right finger grip and a balance hole 4 1/2" away from pin. This ball has a continuous arc but it snaps real hard in the back end. I stand over by the center dot and throw the ball out to the 8th board and the ball arcs right into the pocket hitting like a train.

About the Bowler
Bowling Hand    Left Handed
League Average    217
Ball Speed    Medium
Style    Cranker

I have the ball drilled for heavy oil, the ball has a 1 1/2 inch pin out. The shot is a 42 foot christmas tree, and I was told the ball would hook off the lane. Well it did for the first 20 or so games, and I hated that ball. Then, for the next 20-30 games the ball raised my average from 204-207.

And now the last 50 or so games I have bowled with the ball it is so inconsistent it's not even funny. I go inside with the ball, it hooks to the next lane or goes flat and leaves me a 7 pin. I go outside and swing the ball, and it moves not in the least bit.

I am a high rev cranker, and I would not recommend this ball to anyone who relies on turn and ball speed.

The Brunswick Ultimate Inferno bowling ball is a great ball. It reacts great. I throw the ball way too hard and it still hooks very well. The Brunswick Ultimate Inferno works well in heavy oil conditions, even for me!! I will be buying another Inferno very soon.

The Brunswick Ultimate Inferno bowling ball is one of the best bowling balls I ever bought. Shot my first 300 with it. Hooks hard out of the box and hits like a train. Only thing is after the break in of the ball it looses a lot of its hook but its still a great down and in ball after the break in.

Bowlingball.com comment: You may revive, using the Rejuvenator, or use the Hook Again system to restore the ball to its original reaction.
